I have also had a few piece's of jewelry repaired by them which came out great every time. They nicely polish the jewelry before you go back in to pick up your jewelry. The man who fixes the jewelry is also very knowledgeable in gemstones & jewelry overall. The guys who work there also have extensive knowledge about history and many of the collectibles that they carry in the store. As far as pawn shops go- well first mistake is taking a piece of 24 KT jewelry to a two bit pawn shop where they obviously only deal in knick knacks- the tatted lady ( which was not probably hired for her skills) proceeded to rudely assist me and asses my piece- she came back saying needed to ask the owner for second opinion as the acid test she performed was conclusive that it was not 24k - LOL!!! the owner came out or and old guy that looked like the owner tried the same test and proceeded to say it was not 24 KT and there was no way it could be at best 22 KT - when in fact i had it x-rayed with and stated my piece was in fact 99,8 pure 24 KT gold - they are def antiquated in their protocols - Def! Don't go here. My brother took in a ring to be pawned for a loan and they stated it was not real. Two days later, the stone fell out. What a coincidence that a stone that has been tested multiple times and been in place for over 20 years falls out. I am 100% sure they swapped it out because one of the grips holding the diamond in place was cut. A solid gold ring doesn't just break like that especially since the stone wasn't lose. I hope karma comes back to these thrives as that ring had been in our family for a long time. It's fine if you don't want to do business with someone but stealing from someone is a low as you can get. read more

We came to the Neighborhood Pawn Shop after a horrible experience at one of the chain stores that were suppose to reset my princess cut diamond on a new band. What bad service and to the girl who helped me with the tatts , learn some customers service skills, I called first to make sure they know I'm bringing in a Louis Vuitton Garment bag not a purse, I took out of the bag she gave it one look and said we can't take it, I asked why and she said because I'm not sure it's a real Louis Vuitton bag so I started to explained it to her and quickly gave up cause when you roll your eyes like she did it wasn't even worth taking out the paperwork to show her the documents cause to me it's a losing battle, so what it was a waste of time, could you imagine the thousands of dollars this ass clown is taking from people who's rent is on the line and are so desperate they will take what ever she offers. The real reason why she wasn't going to take it is cause I won't take 50.00 for a 4500.00 bag, so my suggestion to anyone who is planning on going there, " is to stay away from this shop," rolling your eyes and your body language is telling me that you can't pull a fast one on this guy so get him out of the shop ASAP you never even asked for documents or even ID cause if it was stolen or fake I'm not risking my government clearances for a few BUCKS. Went to the Betty the manager to get my ring appraised and she was completely unfriendly. I am a customer, greet me with some respect like saying hi, hello, how are you. Second she asks me how much do I want to sell my ring for I told her the price, then she weighed it, looked at it etc and said $50 bucks. Fine, then I said okay, can you recommend me selling this ring somewhere that you know of such as a website etc? She said someone who wants it. LOL okay???? Talk about a witch! If it were possible to a give negative star rating for this business I would do it. Cannot begin to explain the rude demeanor of the owner at so called pawn shop. My boyfriend came in to buy a piece of diamond jewelry from Neighborhood Pawn. My boyfriend, who has great knowledge about diamonds, trusted what the owner told him about the jewelry piece. When my boyfriend attempted to send the stones he purchased to EGL to get appraised we found out that they were enhanced diamonds, basically worthlesss. When we tried to return it to the owner he was EXTREMELY rude, reckless, despicable, and not to mention disrespectful! He blamed us for the stones being fake. Would not recommend this pawn shop to my greatest enemy. There is a guarantee that you will not be treated with respect and manner, and lied to as a matter of fact! I HIGHLY would not recommend!
