We were looking for pizza slices close to our resort when this place popped up on our Yelp search. Parking can be a little slim but we snagged a spot on the side. There are actually two pizza places in this plaza. The guy working the counter was funny and engaging. We ordered 4 slices total. We checked this place out straight off the plane. Super down to earth spot. We got bruschetta, two slices of pizza and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were just ok but the bruschetta... the BEST I've ever had. It came with 4 large pieces of French bread topped with an amazing bruschetta mix that was made fresh (the waitress said they run out of it often!). What made this the best was that the bread was SLIGHTLY toasted so not so hard that it hurt your mouth but warm enough to just enhance all the flavors. It's a must try! The pizza was also phenomenal! Just left this pizza spot, it was the top recommendation from our airbnb owner for pizza spots! He did NOT make a mistake on this one at all. We wanted pizza since its easy and fast after just getting here today, I order a normal pepperoni and sausage and my wife ordered a veggie Max, both of us were extremely happy after the first bite. Thebpizzas were fresh Hot and out quickly. We didn't get to the deserts but if we do before we leave I'll update this. The server (Lisa) is what our check said, greeted us when we walked in with a smile and was equally as friendly and fast with anything we needed. Ate at this Restaurant several times The staff is Kind and respectful my favorite thing I like to get there is a Stromboli well done and a large order of fries. LOCAL'S REVIEW: I've been to Michaels several times, have recommended it more times than I can remember and after this last visit with friends I left in shock! Ordered our normal pie and upon it being delivered to the table we noticed it was well over cooked (not burnt just looked drier, darker) we tasted it and was going to send it back but didn't want to complain....until more ppl at the table started expressing their dislike did we alert the waitress who then got the owner. As my friends husband explained the quality wasn't there as normal the owner dismissed us saying "well next time you need to order it undercooked"! Wait, what?? How bout just normal cooked...like all the other times?! To make this short and to the point he pretty much dismissed us and could care less about our visit! Really? This is how u want to leave your customers, with a bad taste in their mouth's?? (Pun INTENDED). It's going to be really hard to even want to go back there again! I mean all the other times the food was amazing but the way we were treated by the OWNER?!?! That's not ok!! Especially being locals who's word of mouth is the best advertisement.....bad call sir. Maybe you were having a bad day, who knows. But you should have just made it right, or at least acted like you had cared and taken the constructive criticism at the very least. Our waitress was very rude when I asked for the change back from my cash payment, she assumed it was all for her, instead of even asking if I needed my change, and got very pissy when I politely asked for change and explained that the tip was on the table. read more

When we first walked in the place had a subtle hint of sewerage. We proceeded to walk to the back and the smell was a little stronger and realized we were next to the bathroom so we moved closer to the front, near the kitchen. A cook came in from the back entrance and went into the kitchen. He never washed his hands, but grabbed some gloves and walked out of the front. He then returned to the kitchen with one glove in and started to cook. Being VERY familiar with Health Department regulations, I then told the waitress that he needed to wash his hands. She then told me that he was not cooking my pizza and I told her he still needed to wash his hands. No action was taken and he continued to cook. The place isn't spotless, I thought, well it's not bad Before all of this we had already ordered so we decided to stay. We chose this place because it had such a high rating.
