Wow. Delightfully surprised !! Had amazing service and food I'm dieting so needed something light as healthy. Ordered a Cobb salad with avocado and grilled shrimp. The dressing was delicious and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. So enjoyed this Friends had the cordon bleu and steak and everyone loved their meals We stayed over 2 hours and no one rushed us out. Will definitely come back !

I've said many times that the owner of Michael's Riverside in Lyndhurst, is one of the best, if not THE best, restaurant entrepreneurs that I've yet to come across. For all of the events that we've hosted in his fabulous party room and restaurant, (and we've done many!) the owner, Michael Mateen, has extended to us the utmost in professionalism, fairness and courtesy. From everything ranging from my husband's milestone 60th birthday celebration to my son's 40th birthday party, and so much in between, we were not only very satisfied but we've always received kudos and high praises from our guests as well. In addition to birthdays in the back party room, we had a baby shower for our new grandson along with his first birthday party. We've also hosted several dinner-dances, local campaign rallies, and New Year's Eve galas. Right now, I'm in the middle of organizing a high school get-together at Michael's Riverside. Aside from parties, simply having a dinner in the restaurant part will let you realize that this place never disappoints! Attached are photos that I took of several buffet trays at one of our more recent parties. The food, by the way, is amazing!! Thank you, Michael, for allowing us to always rely on you for a job well done!

Overall, this is a good place and worth a try. The food was really good and moderately priced, which, in this crazy economy, was a welcome surprise! We ordered the pizza, which LEGIT reminded me of Queens/NYC borough pizza, with a touch of sweetness; the Brussel sprouts were NOT fried (thank God!); and some other things that I didn't try. For dinner I had their special-- Almond crusted chicken with peach salsa--SO good!!, and many others tried the Italian trio special, which looked amazing. The plate wasn't greasy at all, which is saying something. The décor is modest; honestly, it's nothing to write home about, but that's b/c majority of the place is an event venue. The event space can fit like 100 people and looks like it would be ideal for things like luncheons, showers, even a rehearsal dinner. The restaurant space is spacious, which I liked. Our wait staff were GREAT! Marilyn was our server and she was super attentive and not an all judgey when I couldn't make up my mind on my drink order lol. Michael, the owner, was also warm and greeted us with a smile. Though, I gotta say, props to the wedding DJ that night-- he dropped all the right beats and there was some booty shaking taking place after dinner.

    A little of everything.

I was looking for something special for Father's Day. A treat I wouldn't normally give myself, you…read moreknow a little decadence to feed my foodie soul. I have been craving a dry aged steak for awhile now. This is the kind of steak you can't get at your local supermarket or even your neighborhood butcher. So to the trusty web I turned and in Google I found a couple options. I narrowed my selection down to StrassBurger Steaks. Their website had the goods a Foodie Father like me was looking for. With a lineage of over 150 years in the Steak business how could this selection not be the right one? I turned to my trusted advisor in these matters (YELP,) and to my surprise StrassBurger had only 1 review with 1 star and to top it off, the reviewer lives in the same state and city. Now this reviewer, from what I could tell was on a similar mission as me. The negative part of their review had to do with the delivery of the goods (from the minimal critique offered) so I did what every loyal Yelp user would do, I backed out. But I couldn't get those images out of my head. Those steaks looked so good! I searched around my local area to satisfy my craving. Alas I only found what I would describe as mediocre offerings, it was then I decided I was going to give StrassBurger Steaks a shot. I placed my order for bone-in rib steaks and a tomahawk. I made sure I would be at home to receive the delivery, like junky waiting for a fix. 16 hours later my doorbell sang the sweet songs of a FedEX delivery. I tore into the package like a child on Christmas morning, eager to inspect the goods. To my surprise, or should I say my joy, the steaks were a cool 40.0 °F a mear 8.0 °F from freezing. I know because I used a digital meat thermometer to check, since the previous review stated the warmth of the goods, but in my case everything was perfect! So with the goods in hand, I was off to the next stage in my plan. How to cook these bad boys? I decided I would go the extra step and do some reading. For the meal I came up with: * Simply seasoned with sea salt and pepper * Sear the steaks on the BBQ to get a nice crisp crust to seal in the juices * Finish them off in the oven in an old cast iron pan * Add sides Hasselback potato and garlic butter sauteed Porcini mushrooms * Homemade Bearnaise sauce I am starting to salivate while I write this as the memories of endorphins being released come flooding back. To get to the point, these were in fact the best steaks I HAVE EVER MADE. I like to think it's the attention to the details, but I can't take all the credit. Each bite of steak literally melts in my mouth. When you have such a solid base to start with, you really can't go wrong. I can without a doubt recommend ordering steaks from StrassBurger and have recommended these fine purveyors of bovine bliss to my friends and family. Like with all things in life I am glad I went this my gut instinct here and placed this order. Had I just gone with the single bad review, I would have missed out on one of the best steak dinners I have ever had. I could honestly say these steaks were on point with fancy steak houses like Ruth Chris and would order again without hesitation. Attached are photos of my journey. Happy Fathers day!

I made a reservation and they've respected my request to be seated inside. The atmosphere inside is very vivid, like the name of the restaurant... it feels like you are in a party. My only wish is that they would play Peruvian music so the experience would be more immersive with the food. The menu is big and one of the things that I've liked was to see a lot of dishes that are not common in a Peruvian Restaurant outside Perú... like Aji de Gallina, Anticuchos and Picarones. Now the most important, the food... the quality was very good, since the plates arrived to our table, the smell and the presentation was a temptation to go all the way in. The ingredients used felt fresh and made to order. Every plate had its own characteristic and flavour... good size too. The "choco lucuma" cake for dessert was a great finish... moisty and the intensity of the chocolate and lucuma flavor to a good ratio. If you have the chance to try it... go for it, you'll not regret.

I tried the birria tacos, fresh guacamole with chips, avocado salad, mixed seafood in red sauce, churrasco, chicken flautas, and chicken enchiladas -- all served with rice and beans. Authentic Mexican food is more than tacos and salsa. The Garden State is hailed as one of the most diverse states when it comes to food, hosting some of the best Mexican restaurants on the East Coast. Whether one desires a quick taco or a full-course meal, my friends and I were craving rich and bold tastes from Mexico and decided on this family-owned establishment for an early Cinco de Mayo dinner. The reservation was easily made by calling Mariachi Grill, located on Ridge Road in Lyndhurst. Upon arrival at this popular spot to locals, with its cozy and casual interior decked out in traditional Mexican vibes, we were greeted by the staff and immediately got a table by the entrance, but they also have outdoor dining, weather permitting. The menu selection is much smaller than at other restaurants. We decided on the Cheese Enchiladas, Beef Enchiladas, California Burrito, Beef Burrito, Chicken Fries with Fries, and Shrimp Fajitas. Some meals are accompanied with a small portion of rice and black beans. Complimentary house chips and salsa started our meal. As the restaurant is working on their liquor license, it's BYOB. One can bring your own tequila or wine, and the staff will mix it with their sangria or margarita mixes. We washed our meal down with a pitcher of sangria. The presentation was very good. The food was made incredibly fresh, well seasoned, deliciously tasty, and generous. The price was very reasonable for the area. Our server Lisa with her outgoing personality and her desire to make our visit enjoyable, which we didn't feel rushed. Good experience overall, which we can recommend.
