I went out to breakfast here with my mom and we loved it! The breakfast specials were well priced. We were able to get a little bit of everything without spending a lot of money. The omelets and pancakes hit the spot. Coffee and tea were complimentary with the specials which was nice. Went on a Sunday around 12:30 - packed with the after-church crowd. Decided to sit at the counter rather than wait, So glad we did. The waiter was great. For as busy as they were the staff kept their cool and were really on the ball. Cousin had a cheese steak & fries - he said they were both good. I had the Spanish Omelet and really enjoyed it. The home fries could have used a little more browning but were OK. Unsweetened Iced tea was good, but the coffee was great - strong but not bitter. I got cheesecake with cherries to go - kind of disappointing, not real "cheesy" but the generous dollop of cherries helped. On the negative side, the sidewalk is broken and hazardous, I didn't see any Handicapped parking and the counter stool was a little wobbly. Went for breakfast on Sunday afternoon. Lobby was very crowded probably with the after church crowd. We were the 4th down on the list and we were seated within 15 minutes. My partner had the eggs Benedict which came out a little messy but they did replace it with a different version it wasn't so sloppy. I ordered the steak medium well and what I got was an unseasoned, overcooked piece of meat. I should've known it would be crap food when the waitress offered A-1 Sauce before she even brought the food out. Good steak doesn't need steak sauce. I also wasn't given a proper steak knife to cut the meat. The pancakes were good and the scrambled eggs were ok. Nothing to rave about. Out to lunch with a friend after a little shopping I had a turkey club sandwich it was very very good with a handful of french fries . I sampled some of Val's chili was very delicious wish I had rice with it. OK now on to the appearance of this status meant it is in need of serious renovation inside and out. This was probably the worst food I have ever had.. in my life. The fettuccine alfredo tasted like it was covered in white cheddar velveeta cheese. The turkey and bacon club was terrible. The bacon was garbage and tasted weird and the turkey looked old. Also the bread was thin and awkward. All the other reviews complain about the service but the service was the best part of this experience. Like I honestly feel like I'm going to get food poisoning. I've been to this place 2 times thinking I'd give it another shot. The first time was for lunch with my husband. I ordered a soup that was so bad, I couldn't eat it. The rest of the food wasn't memorable either. The 2nd time I went was for a business meeting. I order a fruit cup. I kid you not, it was 3 grapes, a few melon cubes, and a pineapple cube. Ordered the omelet with sausage, chees, tomatoes, onions and peppers with hash browns. Hash browns were overcooked, the omelet was ok (just ate it because I was hungry). My bf had the chicken fingers that were undercooked looked light the color of sand. Coffee was not good. Nothing was good, service was trying to do her best, but once again Michaels has failed . Went here for the first time and must say I was extremely disappointed. All my friends would tell me how much they liked this place and I now disagree. I was not greeted at the door. Wasn't that busy. I waited for 5 minutes until someone would seat me. Waited another 5 minutes to get a menu and some water. Went to Michaels Diner Saturday with my friends, we were very impressed with the location and the atmosphere! We started with the Salad bar what was amazing lots of variety all of it fresh! I ordered broiled scallops the plate came with 12 Scallops!!! Only for 15 dollars with side order, Salad bar and soup! The service was amazing and the waitress was so pleasant! I love the breakfast specials! I come with my folks who also enjoy the breakfast food. I usually get the hash browns with fried onions (YUMMY), with the fluffy light pancakes and sausage. My family has been coming to Michael's for years after Church in a group, which means $$$$. We have always had pleasant experiences in spite of the annoying issue with them not splitting the bill up for large groups. It was a good run until this past Sunday. The server Marian should NEVER deal with large groups! She was rude from the start and obviously overwhelmed. Her bad service escalated when she knocked a full cup of soda (no ice) onto my 67 yr old disabled mother, drenching her down to her underwear!!! On top of that, most of the food was cold by the time it was served and we got charged for added onions for 2 people that never got served!! Accidents happen, but the service was just poor all around. I probably wouldn't have been left with such bad thoughts on the establishment if the management would've deducted my Mother's meal from the bill. DID NOT HAPPEN. Instead they took off a few dollars from the whole bill, which didn't make much difference at all and my Mom still ended up paying for her meal!!! We will definitely be looking for an alternative gathering place after church going forward! Their loss of a $200 tab on Sundays $$$ read more

Poor Poor Mangement, Mediocre Service at Easton Rd As a family we went there for brunch after a graduation cermony on 6-19-18. As a party of 8 ( no one under 16,) we had to ask for the parts of our order that wasnt brought to us within a reasonable amt of time. when a 2nd cup of tea was ordered only a cup of hot water was provided( guessing we were suppose to use the old teabag again. We had to call Judy's name (waitress) like she was a part of the family. Then the "DAMPER" (literally) of our visit there was when the air conditioner vent over our table started to drip/pour water onto someone at the table, her dress, hair & purse got wet. While trying to find out WHO the manager was, and asking Judy and some man at the cash register the "Manager" finally comes over to the table and says ( with an accent , nonchalantly) "WHAT'S THE PROBLEM? IT'S ONLY WATER, IT's NO BIG DEAL". I dont know where she migrated from to think that dripping water from an air conditioner vent water is clean running water. The waitress Judy says " it usually doesnt happen there (where we were seated, it usually happens over there") and pointed to another air vent. So obviously this is not a rare occurrance. My advice is take an umbrellla when u go there rain or shine, in case the "Spring Water" from the vents decide to flow! because it no big deal to this establishment what mold and slime is lurking up there. read more

Can't complain since this is the only place in Glenside that's open 24 hours. For late night studying this is where I go and I usually get their buffalo wings (sauce on the side). Other than that I have only tried their breakfasts--if you order before 11 it's quite a steal. Service is pretty good, they know when to refill your coffee. read more

I have been eating at this location since it was called Bob's Big Boy. Even though I am not that old. Lol their hamburger platter is so very good. As noted by other reviewers, i too have ordered platters and was thoroughly disgusted. It is definitely my go to place for a burger and the fries are delicious. Last nite I ordered and picked up my burger platter around 10:15 pm. I paid with a twenty dollAr bill. I received a ten dollar bill, a one dollar bill and some loose change. When I tried to pay for an item today at another establishment using the ten dollar bill that I got from Michael's last nite. I was told that the ten dollar bill is a counterfeit. I called Michael's today spoke with the manager saying that I want to come in to discuss a problem. I went there explained the problem requesting to be issued a real ten dollar bill as I wanted to return the counterfeit bill. She called the owner and i was told that there was nothing that they could do. I told her to tell the owner that I am filing a police report and that I will go online to expose them. I reported the incident to Cheltenham police and surrendered the counterfeit bill. I would have expected that they would have given me ten dollars to keep a customer I go there at least four times a month and they know my face. The police helped me to see it from a couple of different perspectives. One that stood out the most is that someone could have tipped the waitress with the counterfeit Who knows for sure the person that gave it to me according to the manager went to Egypt this morning.
