Los platos son completos, bien servidos y muy sabrosos. Un lavado a presión y la recuperación inmediata de las mesas harían la experiencia aún mejor. En general, un muy buen lugar para comer mariscos frescos y sabrosos. Also, you cannot go wrong with the mambo fried rice. It's literally the best. To make it extra special put some of that hot habanero sauce on it and man you're talking about you got a great meal. Also, the pricing here is great. Where can you get a meal for lunch for around $10? Such a great value in my opinion. Also, recently they started up a loyalty program, which I think is amazing I come here all the time and I will absolutely take advantage of this. The service is usually really fast too. They'll get you in and out of here in like 15 or 20 minutes. All of their locations are consistently really good. Easy five star review.

Cochinita & Co caught my attention because of owner and chef Victoria Elizondo who was a James Beard semifinalist, Culture Map chef of the year and her restaurant was ranked as one of the top 100 in Houston. The restaurant is located near EaDo and is easy to find. It's in a small strip of businesses so parking can be tight when it's busy. We came with about 30 minutes left for breakfast before they rolled out their lunch menu. There was a few tables of people enjoying their breakfast, but the place got really busy about an hour into lunch. Customer service was great. I needed help making some ordering decisions and the staff steered me in the right direction. I specifically came for breakfast. I started off with an iced Horchata Latte. This drink was excellent. You got all the flavors of a traditional horchata with the cinnamon while still having the coffee flavor present. It was a very well balanced drink. For my entree I went with their popular chilaquiles. They said this is their number one seller for breakfast and I could totally see why. I went with the red chile salsa for the spicy version, but you can also get it with a salsa verde. It comes with black beans, fried egg (you can request a different cook if you desire), crema, queso fresco and green onions. You can add a protein for an additional charge. I added chorizo to mine. Chilaquiles is not something I ever order but I had to try it here. I am so glad I went out of my comfort zone because this dish was amazing. Now I've had bites here and there of chilaquiles but was never blown away, hence me not ordering it. The chips were coated throughout and kept it's crunch through the whole meal. All the components of the dish worked in perfect harmony. I liked mine with the chorizo addition. The egg was nice and runny and I would consider adding another egg next time. It was a generous portion and a heavy meal, but I powered through the whole thing because it was so good. They had a nice display of baked goods and I could not pass up the pretty cinnamon roll. I got the last one and it looked very promising. It ended up being just ok. They served it room temp so it ate very dry. It would have been good if it was heated up and gooey. We ended up wasting most of it. Overall, this visit was long overdue but worth the wait. I'm still thinking about the chilaquiles a week later. I will most definitely be back to check out more of their menu.

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

There were 2 servers that were assisting with the table. Both very nice and got our orders correct. I had to split the bill in a weird way and they followed instructions well. The restaurant is always nice and clean including the restroom. The restaurant has a lunch option for 2 items for $25. What a steal! I got the wedge salad because I love the smothered blue cheese dressing. I got the mahi mahi tacos. Tacos were a good lighter choice. I didn't realize that it came with fries. All delicious options and so many options for even the pickiest eaters. Always a good choice for a nicer lunch.

Stopped in on a Thursday for steak night and sat at the bar. 4.5 stars, edging down to 4…read more Steak night itself is a really good deal, and everything we had delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly. It comes sliced with a sauce that's sort of like a nicer version of Heinz 57 -- very good. The smashed potatoes were better than you'd expect, especially if you can get a side of the onion ring sauce to put on them; it sets them off really nicely. The green beans were also very good. We added a small order of onion rings as an extra side, and they were some of the best i have had in a while. They came with some kind of ranch-type sauce that was absolutely phenomenal. I ended up dipping everything in it -- the steak, the potatoes, all of it. I also had their "steak night" old fashioned, which was a solid drink. The steak night plate is a great value. My wife and I actually split it -- it's a larger portion than you'd think, and you can add on shrimp if you want a little more. side note: The croutons on the Caesar salad deserve a mention of their own some of the best I've ever had. I don't know what they do to them, but they're exceptional. As for the spot itself: super nice location, very clean. The bar has a nice feel, with large windows where you can sit and look out to the street. All the food we had was top notch -- I'd give it a full five stars for taste and value. The one thing that knocks it down a little is the service. We sat at the bar, and there were two bartenders. It wasn't especially busy, but it still took a while to get drinks. The bigger hang-up was that I asked two or three small questions about the menu and the bartenders had no idea it was a lot of "I don't know" or "let me check on that," and then they never really got back to me. Not a huge deal, and they weren't unfriendly it just wasn't quite a five-star experience on that front. Highly recommend, would recommend and return.
