Meeting Mickey is a pretty seamless experience at Disneyland in Town Town and walking through his house as part of the queue makes it extra fun. Kids may want to just run through the house but it's fun to look around at everything on this self guided tour of where the main mouse lays his weary giant ears! Hidden Mickey magic everywhere you look. Once you're done walking through Mickey's house, you queue up inside "Mickey's Movie Barn" and they play old classic Disney clips to keep you occupied. The line moved pretty fast because we went early and we only ended up waiting about 15 minutes once in line. Then - the moment - you are brought in in groups of about 10 and each take turns with your shoot. Mickey was adorable and cute & friendly. The cast members assisting the Main Character were also so kind & offering to take photos for everyone. Here's my only gripe, the whole point of this is for epic photos, right? The yellow background feels kinda dated and the lighting all turns warm in the photos from the surrounding pieces. I mean there's so much potential to make a colorful and cool area for these photos with great lighting! But, there's not even great lighting which for a photoshoot experience should be a basic thing. If they just gizz up the actual area where you take photos with the main mouse - this could easily be 5 stars. Lighting! Cameras! Angles! It's Mickey! The house is super cute and there are a lot of fun things to do in here for little ones. The line moves fairly slow but you are meeting Mickey. Employees do a great job keeping things organized. Right before you enter the photo taking area, you watch a brief movie. Our little one really enjoyed walking around Mickey's house. Dear Mickey Mouse, I am so sorry I tagged your ear coming out of a hug Sunday morning. I have the worst luck with Mickey Mouse lately, but I sure do love him! The line was super short, and the gal working here was nice enough to take my picture with my phone. She didnt have a Disneyland camera, so Im thankful she was willing to help me out with pictures. I prefer the Disneyland pictures that upload to the app, they are so much more clear but my phone worked just fine as well. They dont rush you through here, which is awesome. Since it was empty, we were also able to make our way through the rest of the house at our own pace and check everything out. He was right in the front door for pictures. You wouldn't be able to tell from the outside, but it's a super huge house! Not surprising coming from the mouse himself! You walk through his house, his workspace, living room, laundry room, garden, etc and then you wait in line with everyone else in a room and watch some of the newer Mickey cartoons before you get to meet Mickey! Apparently, you can meet him in different outfits, steamboat/sorcerer's apprentice/etc. We got to meet the standard maestro one the day we visited (I think that's the outfit he's wearing). He interacts with you and you get the option to take multiple poses and pictures. If you get the photo pass, I think you have the option to get those later as well. It took us around 2 of the cartoons before seeing him, so that wasn't too bad of a wait! read more

Such a magical experience for children. You are able to walk through Mickeys "home" and then are able to meet him! My brother was definitely star struck. This was his highlight- seeing Mickey in person. You are able to walk through his home which has an array of rooms until you reach the waiting area. Inside the waiting area they show little Mickey clips to keep you entertained as you wait. My young brother was even entertained. The line can move slow but it is because meeting Mickey is a huge thing! The staff do keep things organized and try to move as quickly as possible. They allow small groups of people in at a time so it is not overcrowded in the meeting area. App wait times were not accurate (it said 5 minutes but it was more like 25-30 minutes but totally worth it!!). Would definitely recommend if you have children. read more

In toon town is where you can find Mickeys house right next door to some of your other favorite clubhouse pals. Decorated like the classic cartoon versions of his home it is adorable. Kids can play with the furniture and climb around, it's perfect for the little ones. Once you get through the house is where you wait to meet Mickey. If the line is a little wait, don't worry they gave cartoons playing for your enjoyment. The back area is cute, decorated like a movie set where you wait to enter his dressing room for your photo. I've been told they change the backdrop throughout the day, but I'm not sure how often. When we entered it was a steam boat silly backdrop, so cute. One thing I noticed was the staff wasn't very friendly which is very unfortunate. I was actually kind of surprised since you'd think they would be some of the more patient with young children. Oh well though, no biggie we still were having a magical day. So we take our photos with Mickey and head out to enjoy the rest of Toon town. If your child or even yourself, is as Mickey obsessed as we are it's definitely worth checking out. read more

Stop #5 of the Day I wanna see Mickey! I wanna see Mickey! Located way in the back in ToonTown, Mickey's House is here. But he welcomes strangers! Especially if you feel like seeing what he has in his house and the exact dimensions of his house and where he places his things! And way in the back, in which I can only presume would be his garage area, is finally where you meet Mickey. I don't know why Mickey has a garage right next to his mini-theater, but ah wells. It's where you can find him. It's two stories, because at the entrance, you see a staircase but when you walk through the rest of the house, the second story of the house becomes moot and forgotten. You see that he has big chairs you can lie on if you're tired as well. The wait time was about 45 minutes here. Yep. The line here is definitely long. When you get into the movie theater and realize that the line stops moving and it makes you wanna cry and gets you to start taking your child and hyping him up, or going on your cell phone and seeing what's up, or looking at the movie screen and seeing what great and amazing Mickey shows are about to be released, then you realize... it takes time. Mickey has a nice art room. Mickey also lets you take pictures with him using your camera (you can also use your Disneyland pass to get the pic as well). They'll take it for you. Then they throw you out for trespassing. Sick drops: 0/10 unless you're talking about T-Mobile and data FastPass: You wish. But no. read more

Also take note of the fact that characters don't want to get their fur wet so they don't come out during inclement, rainy weather. Therefore, take a stroll down to Toon Town and walk through the doors of Mickey's house to say hello to the Mouse! He'll be waiting inside for you where it's nice and dry! Estimated wait times are displayed in front of his home but that isn't always accurate. Usually, you'll walk through Mickey's home and then follow a hallway that leads to a queue in which you will wait to meet him. As you wait, you'll view classic Disney cartoons featuring Steam Boat Willie! Then, they will call in approximately 4 groups/families to meet Mickey Mouse. You'll take your photo and be on your way. Mickey's house is cleverly decorated in the interior and exterior portions. You'll notice his mailbox outside with Mickey's head prominently on display, letting you know that you've reached the right place. Mickey's vehicle is parked outside of his garage and he even has a personalized license plate which reads: Mickey1. As you walk into his home, you'll feel like you've walked right into a cartoon! Pluto has a dog bed next to the window but shhh...don't tell Mickey that Pluto chewed up his shoe! You'll notice Mickey's comfort chair and ottoman with images of his head throughout the pattern. His washing machine is a throwback to days before my time but if you look closely, you'll see Mickey's glove floating around as it is being washed. That' so cute!!!!! His organ is tucked into a corner and you can see the Mickey shaped pattern on the sheet music as it rotates inside of the organ window. Everything is so big and bright! You can even sit on his chair because you know that he's one hospitable mouse. It's nowhere near as soft as the cushion in most people's chairs or sofas though. You're actually entering his dressing room/studio where you meet the famous Mickey Mouse!! Here you can take meet and take pictures with him! On a busy day his house can be busy with a lot of visitors. He's one popular mouse! So prepare to wait in line for about an hour. But if you don't want a picture with him (which I suggest you do) then there is an exit right before the barn yard. read more

Absolutely wonderful! This is one of my favorite parts at Disneyland. There is AC in the house so people do not get dehydrated too fast while waiting! It is much better than the Mini House. You almost feel like the AC is too cold and need an extra jacket. It is a nice escape from the hot and dry weather outside. You can take your time and enjoy the house set-up in the beginning. However, lines start forming once you walk towards Mickey's room so you either keep following the person in front of you or walk out of the line to take pictures and wait behind the new line again. There is a movie room where they play old cartoons. If you have to stand in the movie room for longer than 5 minutes, the movie gets old really quickly as it is just the same clip over and over again. Expect to wait in the movie room for up to 15 minutes. Once you pass the movie room, you are only minutes away to meet Mickey! They only let 8-10 people in the same room as Mickey for crowd control. To walk through the whole house takes at least 30 minutes. read more

It's Mickey's house alright...... On the outside it looks rather small, but inside here is quite long and large (room wise). So if you're expecting to walk right in, take Mickey's pic and leave, you're in for a surprise. When we came here, it said the wait time was 10 minutes - but we waited and waited and moved slowly along the line for what seemed like well over an hour. By the time we left, it's said there was almost a 2 hour wait. So I'd advise getting here early. Inside there's a lot to look at inside. With everything else in Disney/California Adventure the attention to detail is excellent. Kids will surely love walking through Mickey's House even while waiting in a line because there's a lot to look and or even do. Kids will want to sit on Mickey's couch, play his piano, look in his mirror, and play with other little gadgets inside here. I started to lose a little track with all of the rooms, but it's Mickey's living room, his laundry room, kitchen, Pluto's area, Donald's area, Mickey's backyard, and on and on. Right before getting to Mickey, you're waiting in another line inside a mini movie theater that shows cartoons on the screen. You may not get the pics you like depending on your camera since some areas are darker than others, but there is a lot to take pics of and see. It was a hot day and hot inside with a long line - I guess Mickey doesn't care for air conditioning in his "home". Like with everything at Disney, they take your picture and allow you to take with your cell phone or camera. However the angle and lighting isn't the best, so chances are if you want a family picture with Mickey, the picture they take is going to end up the better looking version and not yours. If you can't get Mickey in the park, this is of course a safe bet and it's worth walking through his house at least once. read more

Mickey's House is such a fun attraction in ToonTown and it's amazing that you get to meet Mickey Mouse himself! It wasn't too crowded when we visited (around 3/4pm) and we were able to walk into and through the house without a line. The house was very cute - large, cartoonish, zany props everywhere. Mickey has a large fridge and also a large washing machine! We also walked through his film studio and got to learn more about the history of Disney cartoons. The classic tall / small / bendy mirrors and the tilted ladder are also located at Mickey's house. There was about a 10-minute line to wait to get a photo with Mickey, but it was worth it. Even if the line is 60 minutes long, the queue through his house is interactive and there's something to do or take a picture of. There are a lot of fun props and furniture and hidden Disney homages throughout the house. And if you don't want to wait in line, you can get lucky and find Mickey and his friends in Town Square. When you reach Mickey in his "Movie Barn", he is usually in a different outfit ranging from Bandleader Mickey to Sorcerer Mickey. Good: This is the only guaranteed place where you can meet Mickey Mouse in Disneyland. Bad: The line can get horrendously long. I remember coming here when I was young. I loved walking through Mickeys house and seeing everything he does it was just exciting (well almost everything is exciting when your a really young kid). Seriously when it's hot outside, the best place to go is Mickey and Minnie's House for the air conditioning, lol! I suggest coming here when Toontown opens to get a picture with Mickey cause seriously, how are you going to come to Disneyland and NOT take a picture with Mickey? Haha. Plus, lines are usually shorter in the morning than in the afternoon which applies to Minnie too. Before, Mickey used to be at the end of the tour next to his garden or whatever but this time when I went we had to line up in his theater room. A small group would go at a time which was nice so at least not a lot of people are watching you and you don't seem rushed when taking pictures. read more

Toontown is definitely one of the parks of the park that I remember as a kid. I feel like I'm the only one who didn't know that Mickey was going to be at the end of the walk through. It was unexpected. And yet again, was I disappointed that my boyfriend forgot to bring my Polaroid to take pictures. Minnie was at the entrance of Disneyland, that's why I expected Mickey to not be at his house. His house is way bigger than Minnie's. I remember Minnie's house more when I was seven more than I remember Mickey's. A lot of the items in Mickey's house is safe for kids to play in so that's great, too bad not a lot of it is functional and work. read more
