The Hungry Bear outdoor patio covering

Critter country is a small theme area within Disneyland. You get there by passing the Haunted Mansion or through Frontierland. To me it is a bit hidden. It has tons of shade due to the multitude of gorgeous trees. Attractions + Splash mountain: A hare-raising themed water ride. It's fast moving with a 5 story water drop at the end into the thorny briar patch. Smile, your pic is taken right before the drop. +Davy Crockett canoe rides: Oh my goodness, this was an actual canoe that you sit and physically row. I didn't see the crazy huge canoes that held Duggard size families. I saw those pre-pandemic. I only saw 6-8 person canoes. So you gotta row, no lazy pretending. There is one Disney staff in front aggressively rowing and then 4-6 guests with another Disney staff in the last spot. That person is maneuvering his/her to oar to guide the canoe. +Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: The ride is closing indefinitely on July 5, 2021, for so called refurbishments. Homage to retired Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and County Bear Jamboree are scattered throughout this ride. Inside Owl's treehouse are portraits of Mr. Toad and his Wind in the Willow pals. There is a portrait of Mr. Toad handing over the property deed to Owl. Another portrait is of Mole visiting Pooh. Max-the Deer, Melvin-the Moose, and Buff-the Buffalo from the Country Bear Jamboree are hidden in the Hunny Heaven Room. That's the scene right after the Heffalumps and Woozles. FYI: Delores the Octopus from the Country Bear Vacation Hoedown ( a show that has been long retired), is in the Guardian of the Galaxy ride. She is located in the maintenance room before the gantry lift. The maintenance room is after you exit the Collector's office, that is room that Rocket snuck into and explained your part of the mission. Dining +Hungry Bear restaurant: It was closed for the week when I was there. But the outdoor covered patio dining area was open. Great spot to sit in the shade and relax. It overlooks the River of America so you can see the Mark Twain Riverboat pass by. It is next to Splash Mountain. +Harbour Galley: It is a restaurant along the waterfront. It is modeled like a wooden fishing shack. I had no clue if it was open during my visit. I didn't look. Shops +Pooh Corner: This candy counter is the only place that sells Tigger tails in Disneyland. But I wonder if that will be true after the Pooh ride is closed. You can watch the candy makers make the tails. The tails are chocolate dipped marshmallows that are skewered together and covered in orange colored sugar crystals with piped chocolate stripes. Also they sell Mickey ears that can be personalized. Ohh the fudge here is divine. Yum! +Fruit stand: Pickle, grapes, mandarins, fruit juices, sliced mangoes, and bottled sodas and water on ice.

Critter Country is where Winnie the Pooh lives. Yup him and his friends. My sister is a fan of Pooh and Piglet (she calls him piggy bro). Its not big compared to Toontown etc. But it does have a pretty cool ride if you want to see Pooh dream. Very cute area. The train doesn't stop at Critter Country but it does go through a mountain in Critter Country that you get to see the little cute critters in their home. Its pretty cool.

Critter Country is such a cute area in Disneyland! It is kind of hidden and you can get to it on the path from the where New Orleans Square passes by the Haunted Mansion on your way to Splash Mountain. This area started out as an Indian themed area, then was Bear Country, and is called Critter Country today. It has a very woodsy feel, as if you are visiting the Northwest! This area has Splash Mountain, which is by far the draw to this area, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I love Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore, too! Included in this area are the Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes, which are closed until the new Star Wars expansion is done. There isn't a whole lot here. You used to be able to see the Country Bear Jamboree, which closed in 2001. There is a bakery, a couple of shops, and one restaurant. You must go to the bakery/gift shop called Pooh Corner. You can buy Marshmallow Wands - Tigger Tales, Mickey or Minnie Mouse ones here, which are chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick. They are made behind a glass windowed room where you can watch the workers at work. I overheard a worker tell a visitor that the room is super cold, so the chocolate will set up pretty fast. There are lots of treats to check out here! Pooh Corner & Briar Patch are merchandise shops. The restaurant is called Hungry Bear. There is also a spot called Winnie the Pooh & Friends, where you can meet and greet and take pictures with the characters from Winnie the Pooh. The day I was there, I saw Pooh and Eeyore. Eeyore is the coolest! All in all, this is a small area that has something for the most. The only way out of here is going the way you came in.

Greet Tigger with a BOUNCE AND HE WILL BOUNCE WITH YOU!

Please incorporate small businesses or small creatives that can create unique knotts merch you can sell in shops. Do a seasonal competition for best designs for marketing via Instagram and X (Twitter), you could be bringing in so much more revenue !!! (Ex. Trader Joe's bags with limited drops but Knotts edition in collaboration with big/small artists) - Knotts please add more shaded canopies above your lines and add fans!!! - There's only one bathroom I like to go to in the whole park because it's not crowded and relatively clean every time I use it - I don't like to purchase actual food from knotts due to taste preferences and price. Knotts needs to up their food game like Disneyland The positives outweigh the negatives, buy a Knotts pass over a single day ticket! It's worth it!

I try to go every 3-4 years, so I've been a couple of times since writing my last review. I ALWAYS like going to places like this at opening time, which I arrived about 15-20 minutes into opening this time. It's so nice to get away from the daily grind for several hours! The BBQ place where we ate lunch was good too! I wish I stayed 2-3 hours longer, but fatigue and tired feet got to me, so I didn't get to ride Space Mountain nor It's a Small World this time. Fortunately, I'll get to go to California Adventure soon in July 2026 and I havne't been there in 17 years (back when ticket prices were $69). Stay tuned for my review for that.

The last time I went to Disneyland my son was younger and there was a deal for a three day park hopper ticket for $120 for an adult and then $90 for a child's ticket, since he was six years old. He still qualified. I don't even want to get into the ticket prices today and that's only for one park! Considering Disneyland is every child's dream to go I think dreams should come true for children of any age group as well as any working class, family or single parent could afford!! Disneyland does not disappoint, everything is amazing and magical, but it's incredibly expensive. The rides are all different and interesting and they do cute themes all the time especially the holidays, but the prices are outrageous! Not to mention, there's never a spec of trash anywhere in sight, there are so many Disney employees walking around constantly everything is fully stocked and organized!! But the prices are outrageous! That's the only reason why I'm giving a lower rating by overall satisfaction, post Disneyland made me realize I need to pay rent and not pay for a day pass at Disneyland!! Maybe they'll get another discount with AAA again and I can attend, or I could win the lottery and just save my money. I don't think I'll be coming back again, but it was amazing!!

It's rope drop is different than Disneys there's no centralized rope drop sometimes it starts at the center sometimes it's near the entrances to each land. This makes it hard to plan sometimes. This is the park with the better food, better shows, more alcohol, but less rides so the lighting lane rides fills up insanely fast. I highly recommend reserving your lightning lane for guardians as quickly as possible and pushing it out to later in the day or before your park hopping because the ride lines are insanely short in the early morning and lightning lane fills up so quickly for it. The Radiator springs racers are one of the longest lines in this park and rightly so. If you just do single riders it moves so much faster and I highly recommend because paying for a single use lighting lane for a specific ride is crazy to me but to each their own. ‍ For food they have amazing food festivals and a magic key terrace with some of the best Osso Bucco I've had and I'm not just saying that. I was honestly shocked at how good it was. For alcohol Pyms Testing Lab has a huge selection and Pyms Test Kitchen has the best coffee in the park in the Cookies and Cream Cold brew.

While it may not be somewhere we'd go or come.. for a vacation, it's definitely worth visiting for a day. The only negative experience we had involved an employee named Stephanie who was working the family raft slide. She came across as though she genuinely didn't want to be there. It didn't ruin our visit by any means, but when you're in a family-focused environment, a friendly attitude goes a long way. Also, during one of our turns on the family slide, the wait was noticeably longer than it should have been compared to all of our previous rides, which slowed things down a bit. Definitely a bit miss managed as it seems as 1-2 employees max were bouncing back and forward to push the rafts down. Something that popped into mind free of charge lol. One suggestion for the marketing team: consider giving away complimentary waterproof phone pouches. They cost only a few dollars at retail store ( Walmart ) so I'd imagine they could be purchased in bulk at a much lower cost. Guests would use them throughout the park, and many would likely take pictures and post all over there social media as I saw almost every partner with one,I know I did and will posting family pic and already have all the family said they'd want to come..giving Great Wolf Lodge free advertising and great brand exposure every time they're used elsewhere. It seems like a small investment that could create a lasting impression. Overall, a solid 4-star experience. We'd come back again.
