Great pub for beers and delicious food if you are in Downtown Fullerton. I came by with some friends last week and we had a good experience here. When we arrived, it was already pretty lively with about half of the pub full of patrons. There's a big menu with plenty of drinks and food to choose from and they have a good happy hour with $5 beers and food. We ordered the Irish Nachos and they were delicious. It's a huge portion and easy for sharing and was quite filling between several of us and it went well with our beers. Service was also good too with the staff checking in regularly and on the tables around us. The décor is reminiscent of a traditional Irish pub and it was clean with green lights throughout. Parking is available on the street or in the lot in the back. Would recommend coming by with friends or large groups and I'll be back soon when I am in the area. read more

I'll just start with this. For an Irish pub they don't know how to properly pour a Guinness or at least the bartender that served drinks for our table. First wasn't even a full pour, and the next was fully filled to the brim and the surge hadn't settled yet so the whole pint was a light murky look until I waited a bit for it to settle at the table. As I ordered more they started to show up to our table looking how they're supposed to. The rest of the table had the black velvet which was Guinness with champagne that was a nice cocktail I'd recommend. Our server was all over the place, he dropped off 4 menus and came back a few minutes later saying the kitchen was closing so he grabbed all the menus. We told him we still had like 30 minutes before the kitchen closed so he gave us 1 menu back for 4 of us. Ambiance was ok, they have tons of seating, indoor no outdoor seating here. I ordered a Sheppard pie it was good, not bad. My partner had fish n chips it's hard to mess them up. They were ok as well nothing worth drooling over. Would I come back here with our friends. I've been going to Mickeys since they first opened in 2022. The food is good, the staff are good. They have a good happy hour. Never had a problem till this last time I went. I've always order an entree to go even at happy hour, was told by the manger or assistant manager,I had to pay regular menu price. That has never happened before in the 4 years of patronizing. The wings are phenomenal . Big juicy wings , not over cooked and perfectly fried . Their flavor of the week are usually on Point I've had their wet sauce lemon pepper and their chipotle honey . I came here on St. Patrick's Day around 10 a.m., and it wasn't too busy. The place was beautifully decorated for the holiday, really adding to the festive atmosphere. Stopped by yesterday afternoon while walking around the neighborhood with my family. We liked how it was decorated and the big open windows so we thought we would give it a try. When we walked in we weren't sure if we should seat ourselves or if someone was going to seat us so we eventually asked the girl at the bar. We got seated and got menus quickly after that. They have booster seats available if you have children with you as well. We ordered my daughter chicken tenders off the kids menu and baked beans as her side. She enjoyed the baked beans but had a really hard time eating the chicken tenders they were extremely dry and chewy. My husband and I got wings to share and an order of the half rack of ribs. The wings were decent I just would like if they had more Buffalo sauce on them. The ribs came with fries and coleslaw. They were just okay. Our server was nice and attentive. We just weren't the biggest fans of the food. Cute place for a drink but maybe other food options on the menu are better to try instead. read more

I've walked past this establishment many times and finally decided to try them out on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't super packed but luckily there were a couple of tables open. I walked in and sat on the tables on the sides. It's a perfect spot to people watch or car watch because they leave their windows half open. Yay for fresh air circulation! Met my friends at Mickey's Irish Pub on a Thursday night around 8pm. The place wasn't packed at the time, but it was loud and lively already. Typical pub decor. I liked the strings of green light illuminating the place. They were playing 80s pop hits, but it looked like a DJ was getting ready for a set. I imagine that the floor opened up for dancing. That being said, there was plenty space for it. In general, I noticed that Mickey's was one of the most spacious pubs I've seen. Appreciated how the cocktails kept to Irish themes. Mickey's is another great new addition to Downtown Fullerton area and sits connected and next door to their sister restaurant High Horse Saloon which I absolutely love. After visiting High Horse on two separate occasions now, we knew it was just a matter of time before we made our way over to Mickey's and tired them out as well. We often try to go out on Saturdays for lunch and try something new or head over to one of our favorites and on this day we opted for Mickey's and it was definitely a quality experience. Upon walking jn they ask if which restaurant yoh would like and offer either a table or bar top seating option. The decor perfectly fits the Irish Pub setting and the menu follows suit as well. They have all of the favorites you would expect to see from Bangers and Mash to Shepherds Pie and Irish Stew as well as steaks, fish & chips and burger options a plenty. I opted to go with the pub steak topped with chimichurri and served with mashed potatoes and vegetables, while my wife went with the Shepherds Pie. The service was friendly, although not nearly as attentive or on top of things as High Horse next door but was still very good. The food came out quickly and was the steak had great flavor but did come out undercooked from what I ordered but I didn't bother to send it back. My wife seemed to enjoy the Shepherds Pie but did say it didn't blow ger away either. Overall the pricing is quite good and the experience is great. I can honestly say I prefer the service and menu at High Horse Saloon next door a bit more but Mickey's is also a great choice that you can't go wrong with. I definitely would like to come back and try the weekend brunch options as well and see how they compare. It is great to see this place thriving thus far and I wish them great success in this area as this has been a tough spot in recent years. I do think they have finally found the places that will take this area to the next level and provide the quality needed to be here for years to come. Check them out and judge for yourself. read more

Me and my BF kept driving by this place and seeing all the people enjoying themselves from the big open windows looked super fun so we decided to try it out on a Sunday Morning. We started off with some drinks cuz ya know it's always 5 o'clock somewhere ;) Since it was still kinda early I went with the WAKE UP CALL which was an espresso martini and it was honestly perfect it wasn't too strong and you could taste a hint of vanilla it was also slightly creamy which made it even better!! My bf got the IRSH OLD FASHIONED which was hard per usual but that splash of Grand mariner was magnificent one of my FAV old fashioneds For food I got the CHICKEN FRIED STEAK it was good I always enjoy that plate the gravy had a yellowish tint not too sure why lol Next time I'll try something else tho!! My bfs PATTY MELT was super delicious!!! Meat was on point tender and juicy and sourdough always hits the spot Over it was a good experience!! Our group tried to come in at 12:50am , the security guards at the front entrance advised us to go in through the alley entrance. When trying they advised us that they were closed at 1:00am when business hours state they close at 2:00am . I would like to advise you this is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I noticed the remodeling work this place was going through for a while. Finally had a chance to check it out and try the food. It greatly surpassed what I was expecting in every way possible. I got the pub steak plate. Do yourself a favor and try it. Next meal on me if you think its trash, but you wont be able to BS yourself and think that - its legit and it is good. The meat was prepared perfectly and gives the best taste. The broccoli and seasoned potatoes help finish the plate up in style. Our waitress was unbelievably attentive and made great recommendations. She also gave my party a quick run down of the business model they have going on, and showed us the cigar room they built. I dont smoke, but it was an honor to be in that room. The windows against Commonwealth can be completely opened up, which offers fresh air through the whole meal (ideal later in the day when it's more crowded). The environment is so welcoming, definitely looks like a blast during NFL Sundays... You wont catch me in the Down Town Fullerton area often, but I anticipate this spot being my reason to come around. read more

Welcome to DTF Mickey's Irish Pub- This is the third change over I have seen of this restaurant from Tuscany, to 100 North Kitchen and now Mickey's Irish Pub. I love the layout of the windows being open which made for an airy open vibe on a Monday afternoon. I do echo what others have mentioned not sure why it is labeled as an Irish Pub as a lot of the food and beer is more brewery type if anything. However, the happy hour here for food is CLUTCH and decently priced from (2pm-6pm weekdays only). Food: BBQ Chicken potato skins (H.H. Pricing $10)- I thought it was interesting that it was pulled bbq chicken on the sliders but nonetheless still great. There were about 6. Banger Bites (H.H. PRICING $10)- These were basically fried sausages with mustard dipping sauce. The sausages were really plump and filling. Giant Pretzel (H.H. PRICING $8)- Pretzels are pretty simple to do and a basic order but it was a large size that came on a stand. I did love the beer cheese that came with the pretzel to make it a more unique. Drinks: The focus is beer here but they have a unique selection of cocktails. I did order the Black Velvet for $8- champagne and Guinness mixed together which I thought was unique as I have never thought to mix the two together before and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this mix and ordered two! Service was 5 star and everyone was so friendly and attentive. I just wish the cocktails were on Happy Hour but otherwise a solid place for drinks and food but don't go in expecting a pure Irish food menu, however, I did notice the entrees seemed to aim more so for that concept. read more

We loved our experience dining at Mickey's! Awesome new Irish pub in DT Fullerton. Really cool ambience and has a ton of natural light coming into the restaurant. We came early on a Sunday and was able to be seated right away. We opted to share the fish n chips and house salad - balance, am I right? Although the salad was the standard house salad, it comes with cornbread croutons which you must not skip. The fish n chips were fried to perfection and a perfect size to share if you aren't starving. One of the better fish n chips I've had as of late. On our way out, we were speaking to the employees and they said a speakeasy will be opening soon to replace our beloved Tribune. Can't wait to try out some tasty cocktails! read more

Visited this spot on a Friday night. The saloon spot was pretty busy, so we made our way to the pub and were seated pretty quickly. We wanted appetizers and drinks to end our night. We ordered the Irish Nachos and Brussels. Both were 10/10, so good.! For drinks, we ordered the Irish tea party and the Irish coffee. The tea party was a bit too sweet for my liking, so my friend and I switched. My friend liked the tea party. I loved the Irish coffee. They were showing the playoff game, so it's a good spot to catch a game. The only complaint I had was one of the waiters. Our main waiter, can't remember his name but he's from Germany, was on top of things. When he went to lunch, the guy that was covering us was busy with his friend/girl crush sitting next to us. I could tell you that she had a flight that weekend and he got her number on a receipt. When our original waiter came back, he was surprised to learn that our second order of Brussels, because we loved the first one so much we got another, had still not come out after 30 minutes. He brought them out after a quick visit to the kitchen and we were back to having good service, thankfully. Mickey's is almost a default spot for us in Downtown Fullerton. The food is great and the vibe is a clean and classic Irish Pub without being dark and gloomy. The Monday Night Burger special is among the best deals economically, and it's a great burger and fries. Admittedly, the service isn't always consistently quick and efficient, but the servers are nearly always friendly and fun. If you want to watch sports, especially early soccer matches, you can't beat it. TVs are clearly marked for big games, and the food and drinks are consistently delicious.
