YET AGAIN... I usually don't take the time to leave negative reviews, but our experience at this club was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. My husband was unjustly kicked out for supposedly being "drunk," which was completely untrue. He had barely started his night and was nowhere near intoxicated. No breathalyzer, no genuine assessment--just an impulsive and FRANKLY HUMILIATING ejection based on pure assumption or bias and because he was sitting alone... What made it worse was the fact that the staff changed their tune immediately after realizing he was with two women--myself and a friend. Suddenly, the tone softened, and the previously stern and dismissive bouncer miraculously had a change of heart. Apologies started flowing, but by then, the damage had been done. The bouncer apologized but we felt the need to leave before it escalated... The message was loud and clear: this club is more concerned with appearances and snap judgments than actually treating people with fairness or respect and as long as a man is sitting alone, watching his wife and caring for her safety, they must be "drunk." It's incredibly troubling that someone's treatment at this establishment hinges on superficial optics rather than facts or integrity. If you're looking for a place that values professionalism, consistency, or basic human decency, look elsewhere. There are plenty of venues in this city that don't play these games or make people feel like they're only welcome under certain conditions. Do better. I will NEVER return to this club after this maltreatment YET AGAIN because they kicked my husband out for simply SITTING DOWN ALONE, making sure his wife and friend were dancing without him. Mickey's Irish Pub in Fullerton has THE BEST BURGERS IN TOWN (and then some)! Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a burger this good. Every time we go, Head Chef Jesus knocks it out of the park. From the fresh, soft buns to the perfectly cooked burger patty and delicious, fresh toppings, it's a flavor explosion in every bite. My husband and I live about 40 minutes away, but it's totally worth the drive whenever we're craving a burger. And the best part? On Mondays, burgers and fries (or a side salad) are HALF OFF - just $10 for a meal that's worth triple! Highly recommend! read more

Really fun spot in DTF. We went for their happy hour which is bonkers. The Reuben was legit amazing and a great value. The picture I posted originally had two halves plus fries for $10. Like what the fuck? Not only was the Reuben moist and flavorful, it was served on buttered everything rye bread which was a classy touch at this price point. This place is truly a mixed bag. this is primarily a bar that serves food but I'm not so sure about that. It's trying to be an irish pub but I'm not so sure about that either. Sure it has all the drinks you need and classic bar food items. You have some wonderful people behind the bar inside of a nice bar like atmosphere that opens up overlooking downtown Fullerton. So having a nice pint and watching the people go by is certainly a nice thing to do on a saturday night. If that's your thing than go ahead and skip the rest of this review. I came in hungry for irish favorites but all I got was a mixed bag. The bartender insisted I try their irish egg rolls. I was hesitent at first becuase it sounded so bizarre but I relented and tried them anyway. The egg rolls themselves were actually ok. it's stuffed with corn beef and sauerkraut with two dipping sauces. The only problem was the two dipping sauces just really didn't go with the egg rolls. the mustard one was actually honey mustard and it was way too sweet. The other is a jalapeno cream sauce that's really meant for something else like jalapeno poppers. I asked for some horseradish and used that as my dipping sauce because they didn't have spicy mustard. next was the irish nachos. Traditional irish nacho are potato chips with cheese and toppings and sour cream. What I got was basically tater tots and corn beef and cheese. No other seasoning and no other toppings other than slices jalapenos. I found it very bland and unappealing. finally what I was craving for was a nice dish of bangers and mash. Once again I was sadly disappointed. I just got a bowl of two bangers surrounded by mashed potatoes and gravy covering the whole thing. This dish was truly a hot mess. No effort to even make it look presentable. I thought I was being served by my high school cafeteria lunch lady. It also tasted that way too. The bangers tasted like mush and the mashed potatoes were lumpy and bland with way too much globs of thick gravy. None of it tasted fresh at all and none of it tasted like anyone gave a damn about quality. I really had some high hopes for this place and I really wanted to like it but in the end I left bitterly disappointed with a few dollars poorer and nothing to show for it. read more

Came by for happy hour with some friends. It was our first time at Mickey's. The pub has a nice atmosphere about it and sports well furnished bar: it has your usual suspects for liquor but definitely has more whiskies--I had a shot of Green Spot which is a great Irish whisky that I don't usually see in places. My party ordered a few glasses of Guinness, some cocktails, the giant pretzel, fish and chips, mushroom & swiss burger, and a shepherd's pie. I'm used to bars having food that's usually mediocre because the focus is either on getting tipsy or serving nice drinks--not this place. Everything was so damn good and freshly made! I haven't had a good shepherd's pie in a while, so it's reassuring to know of a place that delivers on the tastebuds, lol. All the while, we were looked after by our hostess, who I unfortunately forgot the name of. She consistently made sure to bring us a new bottle of water for the table when we ran out, checked to see if our food was to our liking, asked if we'd like to place more orders, and overall gave us a comfortable experience. Staff that loves to work here and love to take care of patrons. Every single customer is treated with the utmost care here. They were open super early for world cup soccer. It was fun times during the USA and Argentina matches. Food has great value. Value on portions, and value on their price point. Drinks are superb. Employees here challenge themselves to make something unique for me during my many visits. I have yet to be disappointed with the hundreds (It felt so. Management and staff are the worst I've ever experienced at a bar. They refused to serve me by association with someone sitting next to me that acted on his own actions. I paid, I tipped. "We let you stay when he left" First time I felt discrimination and "guilty by association" for being a friendly patron at a bar. Popped in here to catch a game, have a cocktail (or three) and have a bit of lunch. Everything was good. We both had burgers and mine was juicy and filling. I bounced around on my drink order, with nothing really jumping out at me as a favorite, but all were fine. Lot of TVs up and about and since it was championship weekend, there was just the one game, no no issues on which game had the sound. Located in downtown Fullerton this pub sits at a corner location and has large garage door style roll up windows (so good ventilation and lots of people/car watching). Came here in the afternoon on a Monday that was a holiday and luckily it wasn't busy at all, our server checked in frequently and was attentive. The drinks were fine, the Bloody Mary was pretty spicy but I enjoyed it. I forgot to take pictures of the food (probably because I was ready to scarf it down when it arrived) but the chicken sandwich had to be one of the best grilled chicken sandwiches I've had. I would come here again just for the chicken sandwich (and knowing me I probably will - soon). The sandwiches come with your choice of one side (fries, tater tots, baked potato, etc). read more

Cool happy hour spot with good pricing up until 6pm. I sat by the front door and it was open and super cold. Good friendly service and nice atmosphere. They have the country western side for the 2nd side of this pub. I had the Patty Melt and cole slaw. There was alot of extra bread for the sandwich. The patty was a bit smaller than the bread. My wife had the baby back ribs. They were larger than usual but tasted good to me. The tater tots were nice and crispy. Parking up the street gets a bit jammed later in the evening. read more

Had an awesome breakfast at Mickeys this morning. Belanna recommended the steak and eggs (I added chimmichuri) and let me tell you WOW...that was awesome!! I ate every bite...Potatoes and all. My husband had the corned beef hash and eggs and he said it was amazing. I did forget to get a picture of his. I had never tried the espresso martini until this morning. Belanna told me it was her favorite. I will be ordering that again as well. Thank you for the recommendations!!!! The soccer game was on and I loved the vibe! Corned beef was like beef jerky. They did take it back to the kitchen, only to bring it back out to me, asking me if I still wanted it. Unbelievable, they brought the same plate out. The manager did come over and apologized and offered to take it off of our bill. So dry and tough, couldn't even cut it. Didn't bring one out 6 dinners out and had to ask for it. But this dinner plate was wonderful! Steak and it was cooked perfect Also had to ask a couple of times for our drinks. This was I great place to just go and hang out. It was a pub so it had more of a bar hang out type of theme. The menu was the same but there were a nice number of choices. We decided on fish and chips, onion rings and a Cesar's salad. Everything was good. Fish and chips are pretty bland to me, but if they have good tartar sauce it makes the case! And they had great tartar sauce. The fish was well battered and crunchy and the fries were seasoned well and everything was nice and hot when it came to the table. The salad was delicious too! Just after we ordered our waiter said they were closing down the side where we ordered so we had 30 minutes to eat but there was another side we could go to. It was more of a saloon theme than the Irish Pub. I thought that was pretty unique. The pub side had all sports on the television but the saloon side has westerns on with the sports. I guess staying with the theme! It was nice. Not as noisy as the Pub side, but still noisy with the music going. It was pretty neat! My husband said it was too loud for him but it was fine for me. We went to watch the soccer premier league games, my friends and I got there early Sunday morning before opening. They didn't open until after 9am. Refused to turn the channel to soccer even with 15 TV's. We ordered the breakfast. The potatoes tasted like they had been heated up from the day before. I've been following this place on Instagram for a while and have waited patiently for them to open. We were lucky enough to score some reservations for their fundraising, preopening event. There was a minor misunderstanding and we were accidentally seated on the high horse saloon instead, but Alfredo, the manager, was quick to fix that. Not only that, but he treated us to some Irish coffee for each of us. We ordered the fish and chips and the Reuben sandwich. The fish and chips were a nice, hefty portion, but the best part was that the fish batter tasted fresh. Although this is a fried dish, it didn't feel greasy. The Reuben was my favorite. The rye bread with the corned beef make a perfect combo. Although I was not hungry and just needed food to keep up with the alcohol, I did finish the sandwich. This is how good it was. Our server was very nice and said he was so nervous. He let us know that it was his first job as a server but he was doing so great, I would have not guessed it. His service was genuine and although he said he was nervous, he didn't miss any of the details of our orders. Great job on selecting your employees! I see myself coming here a couple times a month. Was having a great time here until I saw one of the "managers" drugged out. (he checked on us and he told us he was a manager). He came out of the bathroom coked out with white stuff under his nose. He ended up checking up on us before we were about to leave which was sweet and considerate but he was talking insanely fast to the point where we barely understood. He was in a button up kinda dirt blonde and around 5'9ish... Would've had a better time here if I wasn't exposed to that type of management.
