We got this place at random on a Thursday night not originally what we had planed. I enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere considering it was a game night so there was not sports team hollering or loud rooting for teams. Great drinks and the beef shawarma quesadillas were great.

Date night spot! Been here twice on a Friday and love the lay out! Has a mid low lighting with classy but vintage looking furniture gives it a speakeasy look and vibe but have a full bar and live music! Real relaxed welcoming vibe here. Pricing is moderate and reasonable for the location and after you can still visit other local spots after! Service was great real attentive staff! And the food was great good quality!

Went on a whim and so glad I did. Talk about a hidden gem! I'll get it out of the way and say the drinks are excellent. The bartenders know what they are doing and you can tell they genuinely love and take their time with their craft. You can't go wrong with anything you order. The ambiance is also really nice, it's very intimate and moody, definitely a great place for a date but very much can be for socializing with friends. I'm not sure if they have live music most nights but they had an amazing jazz singer. Just know since it's live music it can get loud but it's an enjoyable loud. The service was excellent too. Genuinely a great place all around and is highly highly recommended.

Tucked inside Les Amis, Chapter 4 has a more upscale lounge feel with a wide whiskey selection. Parking structures are nearby, so it's not hard to find a spot. The vibe inside is very dark, but in a moody, stylish way that fits the space. Our server was friendly and welcoming from the start. I ordered the espresso martini with whiskey--really well balanced, smooth, and not overly sweet. The best part was the presentation: served in a wide, stemless glass that was inserted into a piece of wood. Super unique and fun. I don't remember all the drinks my friends ordered, but everyone enjoyed theirs. They also bring out a complimentary snack mix that was surprisingly good. Drinks are on the pricier side but fair for the ambiance and quality. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and slowly make my way through the rest of the cocktail menu.

DTF isnt what it used to be but it was nice to stumbled upon this cute little craft cocktail bar. It is connected to their sister family restaurant by an archway and can be confusing when looking for bathroom. Inside this quite elegant and classy with low lighting. The are couches and regular table seating. I have done the bar and couch seating. I like the bar better. Easy to see their liquor collection and see the cocktail making in action. The drinks i had were pretty good. My favorite was their version of espresso martini. Service was also attentive. Sad they close early. Overall not bad

Great vibe at this place. Emily served us and she was good. She was not only so cute, but very informative. Gave the rundown on the menu for us first timers. We didn't eat because we just came from a restaurant. This is a place where I'll definitely come back to.

Food is great, tasty. The service is 10/10 and the ambiance is exactly how i like. A lil bit of music, not too loud, dark mysterious place inside while cozy and friendly outside. Tried 4 drinks in 2 nights haha. Totally worth it

First off, this is in downtown Fullerton, so make sure you check if you need to pay for parking or not, because I made that mistake and got a ticket. Secondly, make sure you're not the driver to enjoy all the drinks this place has to offer. This charming little speakeasy is nestled right on the corner of a building, and trust me, you can't miss it! It's definitely on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy vibe--perfect for getting to know your date a little better. Don't worry if you prefer some fresh air; they have outside seating too! While reservations are highly recommended, you can still drop by without one. If you're a fan of whiskey, you're in for a treat! Their crafted whiskey drinks are absolutely worth trying, and the food is pretty great as well. The staff is super friendly, and I didn't have to wait long for my orders. Overall, it's a nice place to unwind and enjoy!

This bar is a great place to have late night amazing drinks and to listen to jazzy, vibey music. Very nice set up inside too. Almost like a speakeasy.

Chapter 4 at Les Amis is classified as a speakeasy on Yelp, which I don't agree with at all because a speakeasy implies some secrecy when they had a huge sign saying Chapter 4 outside. They are a quaint upscale bar with lounge-like ambiance and a decent selection of craft cocktails and whiskeys. There is also an outdoor patio with additional seating. When we came it was really busy, so it was a good thing we had a reservation from Open Table. The staff checked if we had a nut allergies, and upon confirmation that we did not, the brought out a complimentary nut assortment. It was nice but nothing amazing. We also decided to order a Hummus ($12) to share for something to munch on. It come with large sheets of pita and house pickles. The hummus had a lot of tahini that was a bit strong for my friend. I thought it was average hummus but I didn't like the pita. For drinks I had the Flowers for Fiona ($16). I can't recall what my friend got. I feel like my drink more than she liked her drink. We had the capacity for more drinks but the other customers here were so loud and rowdy. Considering how small this space is, it was hard to have a conversation with my friend right across from me. Not taking this away from the bar cause they can't control their customers, but it's not my scene. Overall cool to check out but I wouldn't care to revisit.

Great drinks, friendly service and cute ambiance. It's a party college town but this is one of the elevated bars in the area.

The hot and cold version of seasonal drink "Between Three Worlds". Watered down coffee. Do not recommend it if you're a coffee lover.

We attended a special Chartreuse tasting event at Strong Water which was being held in honor of…read moreChartreuse week and Chartreuse Day 1605 (May 16), the annual celebration of Chartreuse's origins and history. The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!

We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.

(The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong.
