The grocery item selection at this 99 Ranch is quite extensive ranging from Filipino to Chinese items. The prices are bit more expensive compared to local chains like Pacific Super and Manila Oriental. The ambiance is somewhat spacious and is easy to find what you need from the isles. However, customer service is very lacking on cashier 4 at 7:40PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The cashier lady on station 4 named Lwin Lwin Cho (probably in her late 30s to mid 40s, and about 5'5 tall) is very dismissive, unprofessional and rude to my mom and I. I asked nicely if I could scan my membership card here and she dismissively in an irate tone, "no, that's online order only!" I explained to her that I shop at other 99 Ranch locations and they scan my membership card without questions. She shrugged my inquiry and I felt that I was disrespected as a customer. Management must do better train their staff to be more accommodating and respectful to their customers at this location, even if there's any dispute.

I enjoy going to different types of Supermarkets and 99 Ranch has a wide range of different drinks and food from different countries. This location in Daly City has lots of seafood options. 99 Ranch even offers to fry your fish. They have live lobsters and live shrimp in a tank. They also have my favorite fish of them all ,salmon. There are lots of frozen foods like Lumpia Shanghai which are great finger food. They carry a variety range of different sauces from various countries. There is also lots of noodles from egg noodles, pancit noodles, vermicelli noodles, and udon noodles This 99 Ranch has a food bar with lots of dim sum. They also have lots of drink options through out the supermarket ranging from beer, Jinro, sake, and tea. Whether you call it 99 Ranch or Ranch 99 Come here at the right time to avoid the long line

At the hot deli, you pay by the box so you better stuff the ever living daylights out of it.

99 Ranch is a staple for getting your pan-Asian goodies (though more specifically Taiwanese ones). It may not be as cheap as a wet market but you can't argue that grocers like 99 Ranch, H Mart, Pacific, or Nijiya haven't done a good job making Asian food much more accessible. 99 Ranch now has an online ordering systems that....I haven't tried but I do use to check for weekly deals and that's how I decide when I will come to shop. 99 Ranch is also great during Asian holidays because you can easily get all the goodies as a one stop shop. Some weeks are also double coupon weeks so for every $20, you'll get a $2 coupon (instead of $1) to spend at the bakery or the hot deli. The deli is definitely where it's at! Stretch your fingers because the those hours of Tetris will certainly come into play! You pay by the box and it is pretty much expected that your box should be controlled but overflowing.

Buffet options 1/4. $13.55 per box.

This review is for the deli. If you are going to get some groceries, make sure that you checkout with your groceries first. For every $20 that you buy of groceries, you get a $1 coupon to spend at the deli. The best deal at the deli is the $13.55 self-serve meal combo. They give you a large square take-out box and pre-filled with your choice of either rice or noodles. The four options are fried rice, vermicelli noodles, chow mein and fried rice noodles. The box is about half full at this point. Then, you fill the rest of the box with your choice of meats and vegetables. You can fill the box with as much as you want, as long as it can still be closed at the end. I like that you can get a lot of different flavors in one box. Also, the filled box weighed at least three pounds, and will probably last me 3-4 meals. None of the dishes were labeled, so you have to recognize them by sight. The dishes that were available when I was there were: 1) Roast Duck 2) Fried Chicken 3) Fried Salt & Pepper Pork Chops 4) Fried Fish 5) Fried, Breaded Chicken (?) Katsu 6) Orange Chicken 7) Sweet & Sour Chicken 8) Fried Tofu in House Sauce 9) Mapo Tofu 10) Stir-fried vegetable that I didn't recognize ... okra? 11) Tea Eggs 12) Shell-On Cooked Shrimp 13) Pork knuckles? 14) A pork dish I didn't recognize 15) Beef with Broccoli 16) Steamed Broccoli 17) Steamed Gai Lan 18) Teriyaki Chicken 19) Curry Fish Balls 20) Braised Eggplant with Bamboo 21) Celery, Fish Balls & Baby Corn Stir-Fry 22) Zucchini and mushroom stir-fry 23) Misc. mushroom stir-fry. You can also buy a box of any of the dishes. It's $6.95 for a small box (16 oz), $10.85 for medium (26 oz) and $22.85 for a large box (64 oz). I don't know if they will allow you to mix and match items in these boxes, or if each box needs to contain one item. I liked that I could have an assortment of items. Everything was about the quality you might expect from cheap Chinese buffet, which is exactly I was craving. 1) Chow mein: I wouldn't get this again. The chow mein at Panda Express is a lot better. 2) Fried rice noodles: At least better than the chow mein. 3) Roast Duck: I really like the roast duck because normally if I want to have some duck, I need to buy at least half a duck, which is like $20, but I might only want to eat 2-3 pieces of duck. It's the same duck that they charge $38 / whole duck at the deli. 4) Fried Salt & Pepper Pork Chops: Pretty good 5) Orange Chicken: Essentially equivalent to Panda Express 6) Fried Tofu in House Sauce: Would not get this again 7) Braised Eggplant with Bamboo: Surprisingly good. Would legit get this again. I think next time I would try the fried rice, and get everything else that I got again, except the chow mein and fried tofu. I don't know when the deli opens. I think earlier is better because I think they run out of food. I don't know if they rotate the dishes that are available on different days. There is also a dim sum section. It's $1.65 per piece and $4.60 for 3 pieces, and you can mix and match different pieces. Here's what was available: 1) Sesame Balls 2) Red Bean Balls 3) Spring Rolls 4) Chinese Donuts 5) Deep Fried Shrimp Balls 6) Fried Veggie Dumplings 7) Shrimp Balls in Peppers? 8) Fried Potstickers 9) BBQ Pork Buns 10) Turnip Cake 11) Shumai 12) Shrimp Dumplings 13) Taro Buns 14) Steamed Sponge Cake (Ma Lai Gao) 15) Chicken Feet 16) Steamed Chicken Buns I got a spring roll, a deep fried shrimp ball, a BBQ pork bun and a slice of turnip cake. The spring roll wasn't very good, the shrimp ball was a bit too much of undifferentiated shrimp-like mass. The turnip cake was good but honestly kind not a good deal for such a small piece, and the BBQ pork bun was legit good. Next to the deli there is a frozen section where they sell frozen versions of the deli items. This "counts" as part of the deli, so you can use your coupons on these items! I think this section is destined to be my go-to, because they have all my favorites at the best prices: 1) Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (Nuo Mi Ji) 2) BBQ Pork Bun (Cha Shao Bao) 3) Turnip Cake (Luo Bo Gao) 4) Pork and Vegetable Buns (Rou Cai Man Tao)

Your green onion contains hair. Disgusting!! Washing groceries twice is not enough. The Health Department should investigate.

Owner: please be advised that your business discriminates, judges, assumes and expects consumers to communicate with the same dialect as you do. Also, consider staffing more English speaking individuals as well as investigating your quality control issues. The female deli staff yelled at me simply due to language barrier. I told her that I didn't understand her but she didn't care.

Ask the Community - 99 Ranch Market

    Can they deep fry crab?

Yes, they offer deep frying for crab and fish.

    Are you doing fried fish?

    Hot food open yet?

Yes, they have been throughout though no dine-in and with a limited menu. No dine-in continues but their hot food selection is about 80% of what it was pre-Covid.

How long are the lines due to Covid-19 and social distancing?

It was about a ten minutes wait to enter the store at 11:15 am yesterday morning. Times will vary according to day of the week and time of day. My guess is weekday mornings are probably best to avoid long lines.

What days do they get deliveries? Does it include Sundays?

How much is 25 lbs brown rice?

Depends on the brand you get. I can't answer for 25lbs, but I picked up a 15lb bag last week for about $13.

Do they sell Korean kimchi there?

I've seen it before. But it's limited variety. I would recommend Korean market if you're looking for more choices.

Do we have to ask at costumer service for the boba ice cream bar?

if they have it in stock, it'll be in the ice cream aisle. asking them wouldn't get you anywhere, they just tell you they're out and don't know when it's in stock.

What are the hours of operation for their hot foods bar?

Dear Stephen, Thank you for contacting 99 Ranch Market. Our store opens from 9AM - 9PM. If there's… Read more

**REVIEW FOR NEW HMART EXTENSION**…read more My sister and I finally stopped by the new H Mart extension (the space that used to be 24 Hour Fitness), and it was such a smart way to expand the store. We were a little confused at first about how to get there, but all you have to do is enter through the food court and make a right! Daeho is now much bigger and located inside the new extension. Its old spot in the food court has been taken over by new restaurants, and I believe one of them is a rice cake (tteokbokki) spot that looks really promising. Past Daeho is a stationery and merchandise store. It was major eye candy, but wow... expensive. Even simple items like hair clips and pens started around $10, and most things seemed to be in the $15-20 range, minimum lol... If you take the escalator to the left of the stationery store, you'll find a whole downstairs area! It has several photobooth stations in the back ($10), tons of gachapon (capsule toy) machines that gave me major Japan vibes, what looked like a kitchen appliance store, and an extension of the grocery market. Honestly, the grocery selection downstairs wasn't much different from what you can already find upstairs, so I preferred shopping on the main floor. That said, there was definitely a larger selection of kitchenware downstairs. My sister and I were SO excited to see the photobooth area! It was honestly pretty clean, super cute, and had so many frame designs to choose from. It's $10 for two photo strips, and you can scan the QR code printed on them to download the digital copies to your phone. My only gripe is that there wasn't anywhere to put the photobooth props while taking pictures. We ended up putting our bag on the floor and tossing everything in there between shots. It would be nice if each booth had a small shelf or table for the props. Also... I'm very curious whether they sanitize the props between uses.... Overall, the new H Mart extension is pretty cool and fun.
