Like most small convenience stores some things there seem to be marked a bit more up, but their produce section is surprisingly really well for what you'd expect. Great prices on quite a few things. Lots of specialty Mexican products so I guess this is more like a Mercado. They've got soy meat too- good for vegans! if you're around and want some fresh fruit and vegetables definitely stop by, just be sure to say if you don't need a bag, they'll do so by default.

Entrance from the back with plenty of parking

Small but has lots of selections, from carniceria, fruits and veggies. My go to place for last minutes ingredients. Makes grocery shopping easy and simple. Don't have to worry about the crowd because the 3 cashiers are very fast and efficient.

    Definitely catches your attention!

Store is a decent size resulting in most items being stocked, it's clean / comfortable, has ample parking, as always use the mobile application to lock in special pricing, and to qualify for rewards. my reason for this update / posting. i was absentminded and left a large insulated shopping bag that I have been using for several years in a shopping cart. upon returning home I realized that the bag was not with me so called the store. The Safeway customer service person advised me that my bag, and contents were at the front desk, and I could come back to retrieve the bag and replace the perishable items which was done later that day.

My only issue is that sometimes I am waiting a long time to have a sandwich made. I get it, people are working in the back, but it would be nice if at least one employee is assisting customers. Other than that, I have no problems. I may have a conversation with the Starbucks employees, they're always friendly. I saw an odd situation last week. A young man walked out with a duffle bag full of items they took, not paying. The security guard was next to the entrance doors and did nothing. Just kept looking down at his phone. Then right after, a woman carrying a large bag did the exact same. Employees were talking to each other about both situations. Why is security there, if that's the case. Anyway, every time I visit the store, they always have what I need. And the employees are friendly to me. The store is relatively large and welcoming, the parking lot is large enough for the amount of people visiting. I recommend using the restroom at home or somewhere else. Every time I have gone in there, it's never clean. I sanitize my hands thoroughly when I walk out the restroom door.

**REVIEW FOR NEW HMART EXTENSION**…read more My sister and I finally stopped by the new H Mart extension (the space that used to be 24 Hour Fitness), and it was such a smart way to expand the store. We were a little confused at first about how to get there, but all you have to do is enter through the food court and make a right! Daeho is now much bigger and located inside the new extension. Its old spot in the food court has been taken over by new restaurants, and I believe one of them is a rice cake (tteokbokki) spot that looks really promising. Past Daeho is a stationery and merchandise store. It was major eye candy, but wow... expensive. Even simple items like hair clips and pens started around $10, and most things seemed to be in the $15-20 range, minimum lol... If you take the escalator to the left of the stationery store, you'll find a whole downstairs area! It has several photobooth stations in the back ($10), tons of gachapon (capsule toy) machines that gave me major Japan vibes, what looked like a kitchen appliance store, and an extension of the grocery market. Honestly, the grocery selection downstairs wasn't much different from what you can already find upstairs, so I preferred shopping on the main floor. That said, there was definitely a larger selection of kitchenware downstairs. My sister and I were SO excited to see the photobooth area! It was honestly pretty clean, super cute, and had so many frame designs to choose from. It's $10 for two photo strips, and you can scan the QR code printed on them to download the digital copies to your phone. My only gripe is that there wasn't anywhere to put the photobooth props while taking pictures. We ended up putting our bag on the floor and tossing everything in there between shots. It would be nice if each booth had a small shelf or table for the props. Also... I'm very curious whether they sanitize the props between uses.... Overall, the new H Mart extension is pretty cool and fun.

Then head downstairs for a floor of small claw machines, massage area, photo booth and home goods. Looks like there's also another room there that has potential for more. Great add to the market. Found out that this is not the biggest Filipino grocery store in the U.S. My gosh, there are…read morebigger ones? While visiting my mother-in-laws cousin in San Francisco, we decided to spend some time with her by taking her grocery shopping. She likes Manila Oriental, preferring this one in Daley City to the one closer to her house in San Francisco. It had adequate parking. I was impressed with how big the fish market was, with rows of fresh/frozen fish ready for inspection. And they had many tanks of live seafood, including frog, which I hadn't seen before. They also have turo turo station, with the classic dishes (though none of it looked really that great). Minus the extensive food court, the size of this grocery store reminded me of how big H-Mart can get. It dwarfs the Filipino grocery stores in LA County, and wish something of this size was closer.

Then I showed Manila Oriental Market to her and since then, we hit up this store first before Ranch 99 because they have more Philippine items. Located in Daly City's King Plaza, free parking is available in the shopping centre's private lot. Sometimes you can find a spot to park right in front of the store. During weekends, you might need to wait for an available space. Heads-up - the rows of parking spaces facing the Manila Oriental Market are tight, so not the easiest for big automobiles to get out of a spot during peak time. Cleanliness of the interior of the store can be fair to needs improvement. What's worth pointing out is that one of the main areas that could use a good cleaning is the corner where you can order hot food, which really should be the cleanest part of the shoppe. Luckily, there isn't a weird smell, not even in the seafood department. This market carries produce, meat and a wide selection of seafood, plus imported groceries at reasonable prices. Mom can usually find the international fruits, veggies and products that she needs here. When she can't, searching for specific items has shown to be a bit challenging because of the language barrier with the staff who do not speak English or have heavy accents. Oddly, this Filipino grocery store has no Filipino employees.
