My daughter came to this because she was having battery issues. They told her she needed a new battery and charged her $465 for a NAPA 8447AAA battery. Other Midas stores charge $250 and NAPA charges $220. When I called the Enfield CT store they said that is what's in their system and that's what they charge. The man on the phone continued to talk over me. I want you to be very aware that this store is either extremely expensive or they like to take advantage you young females. read more

Total rip off. Took them 2 hours to do 30 minutes of work and then charged me for 3 hours. The cost for the parts was 6X what you would pay at any auto parts store. They recommended a completely unnecessary $1k brake job, which I knew was BS since I had recently replaced the pads and rotors myself. This is a very solid shop; the manager there is polite & very professional. I gave them a call first, then brought my car in on a Saturday morning, and they were able to fit me in & get my brakes done the same day. I came back the next week to get more maintenance done and had the same great experience. Their prices were fair too, my invoice was ~30% less than my quote from the overpriced dealership. I went to Monroe to get my exhaust and muffler done and they quoted me nearly $3200 and that they couldn't get the parts for weeks. I take it to Midas in Enfield and they tell me a little over $900 and they can do it the next day. Amazing customer service as well as efficient and easy on the wallet, I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of vehicle service. read more

Excellent service. Maintenance isn't instant folks, and sometimes takes a moment to make sure it's done right. Especially now with less labor help out there, sometimes new folks are learning a new job, or someone called out. It's a workplace. Though, leave it to them, wait patiently, and they do a good job. An honest car place for once. Standard oil change included tire rotation and basic courtesy check of the usual items. The courtesy check wasn't full of lies and up-selling like most places, which is why I'll go back again here. The appointment was also kept on time and didn't have me waiting there forever. Work was performed as expected on my exhaust. The reason for the average rating was the experience - when I received a call about the bill and came to pick up the car there was no mention they discounted the bill, I pulled out a $20 coupon and they said my price was discounted. I doubt it was since there was no mention of this previously. -received a call at 2:10PM that it would take 3 hours. Come 5:30 they didn't think the car would be ready...eventually got the car before 6pm but too close of a call. read more

I can see why Midas Auto in Enfield is NOT on the top ten list. After incorrectly diagnosis of my auto problems first visit I was consistently put off by rude and condescending manager Jim. When my car was finally looked at second time and proper fix seemed to be found and corrected; Which I paid over $300 for Second time!!! I was told by Jim I would be credited part of first bill But he Did Not follow through on that! But acted like he did. I turned to Midas Consumer Relations who were No help at all. I was told it was up to manager and/or owner. They refused to credit me any money for first misdiagnosis! I do not know why there is even a Midas Consumer Relations department. I am a low income female senior. They could not have cared less. I do jot recommend!! read more

I can't speak highly enough of the guys at Enfield CT Midas. After going back & forth with Bertera Chevrolet in Palmer MA for 9 months about an obnoxious squeak in the rear of my 2019 Suburban, with them keeping my vehicle on 6 different occasions sometimes for days at a time (one time they had it over a week) I finally brought it into Midas. Dropped it off at 10am...by 3pm they'd identified the cause. At 3:39pm they texted that it was ready to go! If you want mechanics that actually care about customer satisfaction & take the time to solve the issue, take your vehicle here. They've won my loyalty. I needed an oil change, tire rotation and rear brake pads and rotors. It was done fast and at the cost estimated, not common nowadays at other local shops. The safety inspection also found my plate lights were out and new bulbs installed, nice. read more

I got my oil change on 5/19/2010 at the Enfield location. Then on 5/20 morning when I'm driving to work, the engine stops working the car stops on the Highway I91-N. I tow the car and take it to Firestone. They say that there is not oil filter, oil leaked and locked the motor and now the motor needs to be replaced. I spoke to the owner of the store, Jack **. He refused to take any responsibility and started swearing. I have the bill which clearly states that the oil filter was replaced. What should I do now? I'm stuck without a car. read more

This is an excellent Midas location. A very friendly staff, good and quick service. I stopped in on a Tuesday morning around 8:15 and there was no wait. Something worth noting: as a younger lady on her own, I did not get the creepy leering feeling that I sometimes get at auto shops. They also went very easy on the attempt to sell me other services and tell me all the things that are wrong with my car that need to be "fixed right away". I appreciated that. They do not even deserve 1 star. I was so disappointed in the customer service I received from the employees and then owner Jack Morande is the worst. Please stay far away from here. They did faulty work on my brakes and did nothing to help me fix them only 6 weeks later. It cost me about $700 for their poor job! If you get your car services here expect to be ripped off. :( read more

Before the very busy 4th of July holiday, my Jeep started having engine issues. I was planning my very long, solo drive back to Georgia from MA.
