Worst experience ever! Needed tires installed called was told to make apt. told it should take about an hour to an hour and a half. Made the apt got there on time they didn't take my truck in until 30 min later. Then was told it was going to take them a couple hours to do it. Sat there for 2 and a half hours and I have to ask them to give me a status update. The guy who told me to make the apt. Comes back and says they're finishing up and it shouldn't be much longer. I sit for another hour and a half and another guy comes back to tell me finally why it's taking so long, they had an issue getting caps off the lug nuts. 30 min later another guy comes out says nothing and checks me out so I can leave. I am so pissed I leave and go around the corner got out to look at the tires and they f*cked up every cap and some were missing completely from the lug nuts. One was so jagged I almost cut my finger on it. Why would they not have said something to me when it happens with the first cap? Why keep going without letting the customer know there's an issue and what to expect? Why make me wait so long without saying a word? They should have said something to me immediately when they experienced the issue, and maybe give a suggestion how to fix it? 1 lug nut wasn't even on correctly it was sticking out further than the rest of them. I call them immediately when I see this they ask me to come back. I go back expecting that they are going to do something and they send yet another guy out to talk to me. They offer to do nothing! I asked them why they didn't mention the damage when it happened to the first lug nut? I explain that they should have brought it to my attention and offered a solution but they didn't! So I go back there for no reason because they never even looked at the damage and their solution was to have me come back on another day and charge me to replace what they damaged. That's the solution? Because I want to waste another day coming back to the place that already wasted my day and damaged my property without saying anything, Right?? Doubtful!!! Absolutely horrible service!! Their "motto" is "I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business." Bullshit! They should practice what they preach!! read more

If you care about your safety, DO NOT TAKE YOU CAR HERE. I have been taking my 3 cars here for 6 years, but I had a terrible experience at this Firestone location. The manager (Dharmesh?) seems to have a temper issue. I took my car in for an alignment, I was told that the right side of the car could not be aligned any further and I had to get work done on it for it to go any further. I had the work done and took it in for an alignment again. In no way, shape, or form did I ever say I wanted a warranty alignment. I only explained that I had an alignment done two-three weeks ago and it was still misaligned, given that they told me they could not align it without work being done first. The Manager called me saying that I had been dishonest with them, that I was trying to swindle them, that I was trying to not pay his technicians, because he thought I wanted a free alignment. I sat there confused as he insulted me on the line, and wouldn't even let me speak. He said, "At this point I don't give a sh*t kid" and hung up. I called the number back and asked him, how do I get my car back, I'm willing to pay I don't understand what the problem is, and he said "at this point I don't care, we'll do the alignment for free to cover our asses since you'll probably just go and complain about a bad experience online" When I got my car back it's now making an exhaust noise that it wasn't making before and they ruined and chipped the BRAND NEW paint job on my passenger side fender. Just had 4 new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires installed here on my 2007 Mustang GT convertible. Could not ask for better service or a better job. They had to order the tires but after I dropped my car off they discovered that 3 of the tires were coming from a different distribution center and they didn't catch them before FedEx picked them up. No problem as they kept my car there locked inside the bay until the tires came in. I have aftermarket rims that have always been quirky to balance but these guys did a great job getting them balanced. Just a fine job all around plus going out of their way to accommodate me. Oh and those Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s are fantastic. Remarkably devoid of road noise for an Ultra High Performance Summer tire....I would highly recommend them. As for Firestone Complete Auto Care....they just got themselves a new customer. And I'm picky when it comes to servicing my Mustang. read more

Overall: Unethical and Deceiving My Experience: Brought my car here for a brake job. I asked over the phone on good much it will be, gave my make and model and was told it will be $300. My mistake, I didn't ask if that's the out the door price. This is where they are deceiving. Dropped the car in for work, was told they will do a complete vehicle inspection, told them multiple times that I want just the brake done. Told me it's part of what they do. Their service agent calls me 5.5 hours after with a quote for $350 that too for part of the job. I go to pick it up and the bill is for $405 including shop supplies with a charge for inspection. I also brought a second car here for emissions. They took the car keys but my car hadn't moved aftee 20 minutes. When I asked them they said it will take them an hour. I asked to give me back my keys. Took my car to down the road. Beyond me how this place is still in business. Take your car elsewhere, you will be happy. This place has unethical and deceiving practices. read more

went in to have new tires put on the front, move the current front tires to the back. When I came to pickup my car I noticed that one of the tires was the old one that needed to be thrown out. I then brought that to the attention of the associate running the front. He then went out to the shop and asked if this could have happened. He came back in and assured me that they did change out the tires. When I said I marked the tires and I wanted to see my old tires he then went back out to the shop and mysteriously they found the old tires. He then explained that they did mess up. Then told me it was no problem they would fix it. As to that yes it is a problem it should've never happened!! read more

After having used a few different places for tire mounting, I gave this Firestone a try a few times recently and have been very happy each time. Service was quick, and the younger guy working there who I dealt with each time (believe his name was Anthony, not sure, I do remember his name tag said he was from Pittsfield) was extremely friendly and helpful. He helped me load and unload the wheels and tires from the hatch of my vehicle, offered to bag the wheels and tires after they were mounted so I wouldn't dirty up my interior, and was generally just really pleasant to interact with. They're one of the few shops in the area other than dealerships that (according to Hunter) have a Hunter Road Force balancing machine, and to top it off the prices for tire mounting were cheaper than a lot of surrounding shops. The combo of the price, peace of mind knowing they're using a high end balancer, and the really pleasant service have made them my new go-to shop for tire mounting and balancing. read more

Called for an oil change and asked if they could check out my squeaky brakes too. I was a bit apprehensive because you hear bad things about chain stores, unnecessary repairs and scare tactics, but I was in town and had the time so I took a shot. They took me right away and took my car on a test drive. Dave, the Assistant Service Manager, proceeded to tell me my pads and rotors were fine. Well TWO Massachusetts repair shops both said I needed pads and rotors and one said I needed calipers too! I explained those recommendations to Dave and he patiently showed me my pad wear and fine rotors. He said it may be dirty calipers or cheap pads that are making the noise. I asked about a rusty exhaust that I was cautioned about (I was told the whole thing was going to fall off) and he showed me mine was a bit rusty but secured well. I asked about the noise when I turn the wheel and found out I have two broken sway bars in the front. These guys could not have been faster, more accomodating, nicer -- or anything. I was so afraid that they would see a girl and see $$$ (it's happened so many times before). I had to take a moment out to give them a good review. I hope it helps other girls out there who are hesitant to go to a mechanic because they hear car noises. read more

On 3/9/15 while driving home from work, my driver's side wiper stopped working. I stopped into Firestone at 6:30, 30 minutes before they closed. I was hopeful that they could look at the car, but resigned that I may have to bring it back in the morning to get it fixed. I explained what happened to the mechanic and we went out to my car. He looked at the wiper, ran in and got a socket wrench and fixed the wiper in the parking lot, at no charge. I've been a customer of Firestone for eight years, and this reinforces that I made the right decision when I chose them as my garage. read more

We arrived at 6:35 on a Friday evening. The store closes at 7. The tire light had gone on in our CRV again! We had driven from Ithaca, NY to here. The light went on near Albany but we filled the tires and thought that would be that. Not to be. We were taken immediately. Turns out one of the tires had a 3" screw in it at a diagonal. Staff was friendly but misdiagnosed my cars problem. I brought it in because of an ac failing to work and they said they could check it out and hook it up to figure out what was wrong. Thy charged it and said it was working again and they put dye in to see if there was a leak. I drove it off he lot and not 5 minutes later the ac was failing to work again. I brought it back and they had said it was an evaporator core that needed to be replaced and that it would cost $785. I left and got it checked out somewhere else who said it wasn't the evap core but it was the compressor that wasn't getting enough pressure. The new place was able to correctly diagnose and repair the problem much cheaper than the misdiagnosed situation at Firestone. I paid $136 for firestone to give me wrong information, I'm glad I didn't waste anymore money or time getting something else fixed that didn't need it. read more

I will not ever go back. My daughter and I went and purchased lifetime front end alignment packages. Unfortunately my daughters car was totaled because of a accident. When she asked if she could transfer the deal to her new car they said NO! But they would sell her another package. First of all she only used it once. $200.00 and they would make NO compromises. As far as I'm concerned this is bad business and I will never go back. And I will tell friends and family to beware. I heard from the manager of Firestone and they were nice enough to transfer the package to her new car under the circumstances. We were very satisfied with the resolution to this issue. BEWARE!!! This place sucks! Multiple issues. I made an appt to put on new tires and asked for a small repair, told them when I made the appt and again when I dropped off the car. Upon returning they forgot so I had to wait another 45 minutes. Then I told them I needed the tires back in which they never put in my car. They also didnt put 1 of the lug nuts on. They also said I needed a new battery but I declined luckily bc I went to my dealer who said it was fine! read more

Extremely unethical! My gf had her Dodge Journey's brakes done, had new rotors replaced & had her coolant system replaced for a couple thousand dollars in March 2019. She heard squeaking in September 2019, brought her car back in & was told she needed brakes as well as new rotors. She only put 6000 miles on since the initial visit in 3/19! She still had the receipt from the work she had done in 3/19 and showed this to the manager. He then said only 2 tires received new brakes & rotors. I flew home and checked her brakes & rotors and took pics showing that they were not replaced at all. Do not go here! If a manager replies to this message saying we should come back in to discuss my reply is NO WAY would I ever do business with you again. read more

Long story short - I backed over a snow shovel and tore my bumper off. I attempted to put it back in place myself, and thought I had. But, after a day of driving, I found that wasn't the case, as both my bumper and splash guard were sorely out of place. When I got home after an 11 hour work day and driving through the snow, I tried to place everything back myself. I couldn't do it. I called the dealer I bought my car from, as they were close by, but no one answered. Increasingly frustrated, and now cold/wet/tired/hangry, I visited Firestone, as they were the next closest place. This was 6p on a snowy evening, and I needed to be into work for 6a the following day. Realistically, the last thing I wanted to do was sit in an auto shop for hours, and the first thing I wanted to do was eat dinner and take a hot shower. Unfortunately, it looked like the former was going to win out. The team working, Christian and the technician, were more than helpful. They got my car into the shop immediately, were able to get everything back in place the best the could, and could clearly explain the me what needed to be done to fix the problem long term, showing me how I damaged my bumper (broken fins) and what that meant for the front end assembly long term. (Aside from not backing over snow shovels, I needed a new bumper.) I was there about 20 minutes. The service was quick but thorough. I drove to work on the highway the next day and everything held in place. I would be more than happy to recommend this location to anyone. read more

This past Monday I was traveling back from northern Vermont to Haddam driving a F250 super duty with a four yard dump trailer loaded with furniture. I had borrowed the truck from my father in-law which had been sitting unused for about three months. While in heavy traffic just prior to the CT state line on 91 I felt at least one brake caliper seize up. I limped the truck off the highway and parked in an empty lot. I detached the trailer and assed the brake issue. Realizing I could not make it all the way home o asked someone where the nearest open garage was. I was directed to the Monro Shop. I made my way to the shop and found it was still open. It was 5:55pm and the shop closed at 7. I explained my situation to the person in charge stressing that I was in a bind as I had the trailer, my wife, son, and dog waiting by the trailer in my son's car. Without even thinking about it I was told "I can't help you". I explained I would pay a premium for help and was told "My time is worth more". There were two technicians standing doing nothing. I said something about remembering when customer service meant something and people stepping up to help someone in a bind. He directed my to Firestone which was about a mile away and said maybe they could help me. I went to Firestone, which also closed at 7. The manager said they would look at it. The manager and technician stayed until 9:40 repairing the brakes. That is customer service, something Monro has no clue about. It turned out 3 calipers were seized, warping the rotors and smoking the pads. Monro missed out on an $1100 sale. Thank you Firestone for your commitment to customer service! read more

My engine light went on, and after finding out Advanced Auto Parts no longer offers a free engine warning light reading, they informed me that Firestone now does it. I went over there, got the reading, and was told that a sensor needed to be replaced (after he consulted Google). I was also told that I could not be given a rough estimate because it "depended where the sensor was", which would be known after a diagnosis of $119. After calling around, I went back in to speak to a manager to see if he/she could give me a rough estimate for the part that they thought it was. I was told by the manager that it would be $119 for the diagnosis, plus another $400-$500 for the part, labor, etc. A sensor does not cost that much, and I took my business elsewhere for much cheaper ($270 total). As part of the Ford Recall Program, I have an Enterprise rental from the Windsor office until my own Ford has it's passenger side airbag replaced. The rental needed an oil change so I brought it in to Firestone in Enfield. The manager took the keys. I explained I needed an oil change on the rental and asked if he needed anything else...my name? No, he said. Within an hour of my leaving, Enterprise (I didn't even realize an office was in the same complex) came by and took the keys back. The manager allowed Enterprise to take my rental car and return it without my knowledge, with personal items inside. The manager apologized and admitted his error in letting Enterprise take the keys, yet I have no confidence that this won't happen to someone else. It happened because he didn't follow company procedures. He's the manager...the one who sets the tone for the whole shop and for all the employees who work there. If anyone should follow company procedures, it should be him. read more

I went into Firestone to get my emissions test done and was serviced by Scott. I ended up having to go back 5 times because of complications with the machine twice, once because I didn't get there in time, even though it was and hour before the emissions were done for the day according to them, and twice because my tires did not have "enough tread" which they tried to make some money off me by offering tires to me which I refused because of the prices and asked to get my keys back all the while Scott was insisting I got their tires another five times! No means no. Now to Scott. Everytime I went in there it was apparent that he was never in a good mood or willing to deal with customers, but was quick to ask me to ask me to buy tires and turn me down from the testing with such enthusiasm. All in all I never got my emissions done and will never go back. I went to another place in town and with the same tires got my test done in 20 minutes with no hassle and good service. I would not recommend you go to Firestone unless you want terrible customer service and a big hassle. read more

I took a 07 Sentra car which i wanted to purchase from a private party. I booked an appointment with them to thoroughly inspect the car for any mechanical / electrical issues. (broadly, anything non cosmetic).. they said the car is very good & there are absolutely no issues. trusting them, i purchased the car. when i got it inspected by someone who works on cars, he pointed out the following -- rattling sound from drivers door.. window makes noise while going down/coming up.. the metal bracket which holds the motor & regulator was broken.. got it welded. $130, taped mass air flow hose/air filter hose -- got new one off amazon for $65, absent battery clamp- $7, engine oil that is almost due for change $20. transmission fluid almost overdue for change ($200)... dirty engine air filter+cabin air filter.. ($18). add $30 for labor.. all these, within first 200 miles of purchase -$470 strangely, none of this was visible to Firestone 'experts'... read more

I recently called to make an appointment for an oil change, have my tires rotated and check on a tire that has been leaking air. The customer service representative was nothing but rude and had no desire to talk to me or help me. Talked down to me (as I am a woman) like I had no idea what I was talking about. I purchased my tires with Firestone 2 years ago with a warranty that included free tire rotation for the life of the tires. I asked if they could take a look at the tire that I believe is leaking to insure it is the tire and not sensor. He then goes on tell me there will be a charge, still being extremely rude, cutting me off multiple times! I told him I didn't appreciate the disrespect and I will never do business with them. Had you been nice, showing a smile through the phone I wouldn't have canceled my appointment and paid for the tire inspection. I hope no one experiences the customer service I received today.
