Tomorrow will be the second time we have had our car in there. Had just oil change and the car is leaking. Went back they did a puff job on me. Telling me that the new guy over filled and the pan was full and it leaked out. Well their puff job didn't work. Parked car in different spot and I will be oil. Now what puff job are they going to do??? Well what attitudes. Will never ever come back. Would rather pay a dealer to work on my car then want to be. Do not for no reason bring your car to this location. The assistant manager has attitude if you say they did something wrong. Second time for same problem. What a joke of a place. On 8/17/24,I made an appointment at Noland rd. shop front brake inspection and if needed,replacement.The reason was due to squeaking and a very distinct rattling in the front end.I got a call saying the brake job was completed,but the rattling was still present. After arriving at the shop,I was told by both the Manager,C.J.and the technician my car was checked from front to back and everything was solid as it should be.I was then told my front struts were bad and needed replacement.I was given an estimate of $2640.33 to fix the problem.I declined and decided to get a second opinion and went to different shop and within an hour was told the problem was a worn sway bar link.My car was ready about an hour later at the grand total of $160.64,including parts and labor.Customer be ware,research your research.I will never recommend Midas to anyone again. read more

I'm unhappy with the service received at the Independence, MO location on Noland. I asked for an estimate for everything and was given an estimate for nearly $500. I just received a call that there is more work that needs to be done, they said brakes are metal to metal. They said it's $300 more. I needed to know this at the beginning of services, which is what I asked. I would have gotten another estimate elsewhere. I was told the original estimate would cover everything! Very dissatisfied customer! Just picked up my car and it's doing the exact same thing! The problem was not fixed at all! read more

FOLLOW UP RESOLUTION I've been a Midas customer since 1996, moved away for 18 years where I continued with another Midas and now back at the shop where I started. They have a new manager, Robert. He was very accommodating, but I was not happy that my fluid exchanges took almost 4 hours last week after being told to expect one and a half hours. Days later, and needing clarification on the bill, he offered to let me speak to his District Manager, Zach. I had just purchased one of the smallest cars on the road so was not happy to hear the DM say the estimates are calculated on AVERAGE auto size even though my tiny car's intakes are measured in quarts, not gallons - which is what I was billed for. Examples (not counting labor) : * typical radiator (coolant) Flush and Replace takes 3.5 gallons $93 ...my car takes 5.2 quarts (about 1.25 gallons), est. $30. * typical synthetic oil change takes 5-6 quarts special oil, $65 ...but mine takes 3.7 quarts, est. $40. Considering remaining issues, Zach was able to refund nearly 25% of my bill. read more

Don't try to go to this location after 4pm. They "only have one guy is what I was told. I went down the street and they got me right in. I apologize I'm sure that great people work there and this is just a "one" time occurrence. Ownership probably wonders why they are not achieving goals. It starts when a customer enters the location. If you cannot complete a simple oil change same day with 1 car in the bay you have a lot more issues than this post. My advice wake up early and do not accept mediocrity. Went here to get a muffler repair based off of my dealerships recommendation. The guy up front told me $750... Went down the street to Budget Muffler paid 150 total. I originally scheduled my appointment online. Which was followed by a prompt phone call from Stan, the Manager. He confirmed the appointment and when I arrived for my oil change and battery replacement I was pleasantly greeted by him. Side note: being a woman and taking a vehicle to an auto mechanic can be quite daunting. I don't care what the boldest feminist has to say about it, I always feel vulnerable to be taken for a check book ride. I hear my bank account get emptier as soon as I walk in. BUT... this experience was completely THE OPPOSITE of that. I was walked through the process, given options, and we discussed which coupons would be best used. (Yes, I pulled out coupons.) They pulled my vehicle into the shop and a little under an hour later, I signed my receipt and was on my way. They even checked my tire alignment for me! My battery replacement even has a 2 year tow warranty that came with it. How wonderful! I love Midas but I especially felt very taken care of at this location. Go here. Now. Saturday came and they were on time, performed a thorough inspection of the vehicle and explained items that deserved attention, but were not pushy. I decided to have the shocks replaced and a wheel alignment done based on their recommendation, in addition to the lube and oil change we had scheduled. They did a great job and had me out the door in less time than anticipated. I appreciated their honest and professional service and will definitely be returning in the future. I always took my old car to Midas for anything that needed done with it. As soon as my new car is out of warranty, I will do the same. The guys here know what they're doing, and do it right the first time. They never try to upsell to you, and will actually tell you when something isn't really needed. They explain all your options to you, and don't assume that if you're female, you don't know anything about cars and they can pull something over on you. They are far more concerned with building a loyal customer base and taking care of those customers than with making an extra buck right now. I have absolutely no complaints about this franchise office, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs something done on their car. read more
