Leavenworth military community. 2- I had one of my bikes break down downtown- they sent a truck and trailer to swoop me up, take the bike to the dealership, and had me on the road within 2 hrs- GREAT service Buying another new bike I'm always in the store buying more toys, and the Service Dept has taken care of me everytime. If I had one beef, its that their after-the-sale follow-up was a little weak, but in their defense, it was a busy weekend when I bought it. read more

I bought my first HD bike back in 2002, and pretty much after that every dealership I dealt with had been rude, uncaring, inconvenient, and money hungry (in the worst sense of the concept). I was going to trade my deuce softail in for a triumph. Then by pure happenstance I dropped by Worth HD. I didn't want to get a motorcycle, by while I was there they treated me with such respect and friendliness that I stayed for the sales spiel. Not only did they offer me a phenomenal deal on the bike and a great price for my trade-in, but when I found out the next day I was going to deploy, they offered store the bike for a year at no cost to me. While I was in a combat zone they sent me an HD flag covered with the signatures of their staff, workers from the nearby local Harley Davidson factory. What's more is I am not the only person they've done this for. But what makes them an awesome is their consistently awesome customer service, convenient hours (7 days a week and hours during the weekday where you don't have to lose a lunch hour to go visit), and the most best bike night/concert stage/bbq grill ever. I had wheel bearings replaced in my 2013 Harley Davidson Super Glide in September 2019, at Worth Harely Davidson, then rode the bike about 300 miles and the wheel bearings started making noise. I took the bike back up to have it looked at, they said the belt was loose and adjusted it. Before I got home it was making bearing noise again. Took it back to service, they looked at it, called me and said it needed a new belt and sprockets and it would cost $1200.00. I told them I would be up to get the bike, do not replace anything. I took the bike to a reputable bike shop. The owner told me without a doubt it was a wheel bearing. Called Worth, talked to the service manager. He argued with me about the bearings, and said it was not the wheel bearings. I told him it was for sure the bearings. I had a second opinion. He flat out would not replace them. Had the other bike shop replace them, bike is fixed now, no thanks to the Service Manager at Worth Harley Davidson. I will never go back to them ever again! Jay Stockwell read more

Took my 2017 Electra glide in for warranty work and a recall. One was a coolant leak that they couldn't find in two weeks plus it took three more weeks to get it home because of weather, but after 24 hours of being home there was a coolant puddle under the bike. Then after 6 days of being home and the weather being good enough to ride I get it out and the bike is dead won't even crank. Don't trust your bike with them I think Worth is short for WORTHLESS!! read more

Hope Worth will make it right... Very upset! Bought a 2010 Ultra a couple of years ago from an individual. We were happy that the service contract he purchased when he bought the bike, Worth actually transferred to us. HOWEVER, we took our bike in right before a big vacation. We got 2 new tires and 10,000 mile service. So less than a week after getting it back we head out. Our first stop was only 4 hours away at my sisters, all day driving. BUT... Wasn't until we're heading across Nebraska going into Wyoming, it's getting dark, and we notice our lights are way down, hubby can only see 3 feet in front of the bike. And the light is not in the place it needs to be. Pretty sure the faring was not put on correctly. But we'll fix that our ourselves. SO, we start looking around the bike and great, a dent in the trunk badge, that was NOT there! And considering the two days at home it was in the garage and at my sister's it sat in the back yard very close to the house with no vehicles near it. It HAD to have happened at Worth! Finally, they didn't even tighten down the windshield! Creaked the entire 1500 mile trip! Considering we live in Topeka it's not exactly convenient for us to go all the way there. But it would be nice if they would replace the badge on the trunk and maybe do it in a way that we don't have to ride to the city/Missouri. Like send us the part and will fix it. The remainder of the problems we'll fix ourselves so that we know its done correctly and nothing else happens. IF we take her in for the 15,000 mile service, we WILL be taking video of the bikes condition before taking it in! I called to set up an appointment to have my Harley serviced. When I dropped off my bike the service rep said he would call with an estimate for any services that needed to be completed. When he called, he quoted me $1,000 to replace tires and do the services. I asked how much without the tires and he gave me a revised quote. The call was on speaker phone and my wife heard the whole conversation. I agreed and about a week later when I picked up the bike the bill was double what he quoted me. When I asked him about the difference he shrugged his smug shoulders and said, "no I said an additional $$", which was nothing but a lie. I paid the full amount and left. Liars and thieves aren't worth a minute of my time - nor should they be worth yours. Don't bother going there; they will overcharge you and claim they told you up front. read more

The short: One of the smaller dealers in the KC area The long: I stopped in to check out the clothing/retail section in the shop. I wandered through the bikes a few times when I arrived and pointed out a few to my wife and we talked about them. All the while the sales staff stood around and did their best to ignore me. Even if I had been there to buy a bike I would have went elsewhere because of that alone. Now when I walked into the motor clothes section the sales girls were all over me. They asked if they could help me find anything or show me anything. I asked a few questions and that was about that. I ended up having some issue finding what I was looking for because they were down on stock. For some reason they had very few shirts that were XL in size. While shopping for a used motorcycle, I found one on Craigslist that was a good deal but in Columbia, MO. I called Worth and told them what I had found and asked if they had anything that could compete. They said they had plenty and I should come by. I made it clear that it was an hour drive and I didn't want to drive up there unless they had something in a similar model and price. He again assured me they had something competitive. He also assured me he would be working at the time I told him I'd be there. Upon arriving, the salesman wasn't there but another insisted he'd be able to help. I again let the new salesman know what I was looking for and what I had found online. He led us through a warehouse full of motorcycles to the very back where there were five of the model I was looking for. All black. None were the color they had told me they had. None were priced either. Every single one, he'd have to go back to the office to check the price. In the end, every single one was $3000 more than the one I found online and none had the accessories. They were not willing to work on price for a new or used and not willing to negotiate a trade. I ended up buying a new model from another dealer and made sure they knew of my experience at Worth. read more

The worst buying experience I have ever encountered. Went into Worth based on positive reviews and had a very nice salesman. We told him we were just looking, long and short is he said what if I make you a great deal....goes up to the man in the pit comes back and says would you buy this for $32k with 20% down and 0% financing, our interest was peaked and we said very possibly let us think about it. We called the next day to confirm and he said yes, that's the deal but it is only good for the next 6 days (end of the month). Salesman called back on day 5 and said thee dealer hadn't made sales numbers for the month and were motivated. We co firmed the numbers again, and yes still the same with a few discounds and store credit thrown in. OK, we'll come visit you this afternoon and are ready to buy. We go in, ready to buy, confirm the deal with the salesman and he tells us he needs to go talk to the big boss again and get the process started. Everything starts going sidewise at this point. He comes back and best they can do is $1300 more than we had agreed to so we are ready to walk and out comes a manager...gosh! we wouldn't be making any money on this but we could do it if you buy the 20K mile service plan at a discount. We discuss and agree (feeling loke suckers) but oh well. Go inside and have to sit down with the big, big boss. Big, big boss says "this is the deal," we need this much out of the bike and this is as much as I can discount the service plan and you are getting a great deal...we are $4300 over our initially agreed price with no 0% financing. Financing was a great incentive but not a deal breaker (we have the cash but I would rather keep it invested). The salesman tells us this is how they are trained, throw out a good price just to see if you are really a buyer and run you up the chain with the price going higher, that's how it is in sales. Maybe for others but not us. I don't appreciate striking a deal, confirming it 3 times and then when all is said and done the final, best, last day of the month price is more than MSRP only if you agree to finance with them and only if you agree to buy a service plan. We walked, we are still interested in the bike but if we are going to pay MSRP it will be after the first of the year (MO property taxes) and when it is riding season (not sitting in the garage for 6 months) and we will find a dealer that shoots straight and honors their first, supposedly agreed to by the sales manager, price. A motorcycle is a want, not a need. This sales practice must work for them but it isn't how we roll and I have to think there are many others like us. read more

The bike was shipped to me from out of state on a tractor trailer 3rd party carrier. Very professional driver as well. I had visited Worth once before and was impressed with their inventory and polite knowledgeable staff, so I was excited and expected a positive response. However instead of answering a few questions about what they had for sale, he insisted on getting my name and phone number. I stated I don't give it out account I am on call and often sleep during the day. To which he replied "I'm on call too!" When I asked for his name so I could visit with him on my planned trip to the dealership so he would get credit for the sale if I made a purchase, he hung up on me. Really? A-Ok, but missed. Got two new tires and a 20K tune-up ($803). Got nearly 20K miles on the front tire the service agent said most people get 12K. I said the trick is property tire pressure. Here's what they missed when the tire was cold check tire pressure front 40 lbs and back 37 lbs. Should be 36 lbs in front and 40 lbs in the rear tire. Amateur mistake. I love the gals in the motor clothes department because they always have something new on the racks. The finance guys are the best. Worth Harley Davidson has by far the largest selection of motorcycles that I have ever seen. If you want to buy a HD today, they have what you want. When you are there to take care of business and get a service or repair, you are treated like a customer. When you roll in on a Saturday to take a break from riding, you are treated like an old friend. I have yet to be disappointed in Worth. I have had two very negative experiences at Worth Harley Davidson in North Kansas City. My first negative experience was as l tried to buy a used bike from them. The sales people were very nice and polite to deal with. The finance guy Josh, was just the opposite. He told me that they would provide financing for me. My credit is not perfect, and he told me the interest rate would be 22%. I told him I could find my own financing and that I would get it and come back and purchase the bike. The salesman is there with us and Josh makes a snarky remark that I was getting on the BE BACK BUS. He says this 3 or 4 times to everyone's laughter, except mine. I leave and get my own financing at 6.5% or 15.5% less than they could offer. I go back into worth Harley Davidson and I'm trying to decide what bike I really want, Josh comes over and says "do you want a good buy" before I could say anything he waves at me with his hand and says good by. So I left and went to another dealership and bought my first Harley. My best friend bought his brand new Street glide there and we stopped in there about a warranty item on his bike. He meets a staff member there that he knows, and told him about my terrible experience I had there. He told us that was very unprofessional and should not have happened. Long story short, I decide to have my 10000 mile service completed there. Big mistake on my part. I take my bike in, they ask all the questions a service department would ask. They want to know what kind of oil to put in it, synthetic or regular oil. I tell him to put in the regular oil, as that is what I'm used to using. We were very clear about this and we both understood each other. I pick up my bike later, all goes well, until I get home and I'm inspecting my paperwork in detail. On the oil listed as installed on my bike it says that synthetic oil has been put in it. So I call the service department and ask them about this. I asked the lady in the service department if my bike has synthetic oil in it as the paperwork started. She told me it probably did, but cautioned me not to mix two different kinds of oil in my bike because it could damage the engine. So she tells me that I might have synthetic oil, which I did not want, but she did not sound sure of it. So now I'm not sure what oil I have in my bike and neither does she. But she is very sure I should not mix the two oils together. She knew there was a problem, and that was all they would do for their mistake. The problem is solved for them, but what oil do I use when it gets low? I am very dissatisfied with them. I must say that the parts department and clothing sales people are very professional and helpful, but the rest of them, not so much. Now I'm off to another dealership to get my oil changed to a regular oil before it gets low, as I'm not sure what is in the bike. Don't make the same mistake I did. read more
