Just got my 3rd set of tires from this State Line location... been going there for 20 years now. Each tire purchase had a discount -- this time it was 4 tires for the price of 3. 100% satisfied on service each time too. Owned the same reliable car for going on 15 years ... replaced the alternator and water pump here too. Cost for repairs is in line with competition if not lower when pricing around locally. RECOMMEND. They'll take care of ya. read more

I've been going to Midas for the past 5 years. This was my first time visiting this location. For starters, this location is overpriced. I was quoted $244 to have my car headlight bulbs replaced. When I asked about the labor only, I was quoted $191. I took my business elsewhere and paid $130 ( labor and bulbs). Another disappointing moment was when I was told that I couldn't receive the oil type, that I normally get in my car. They wanted me to get the highest priced oil brand. If a customer asked for a specific brand oil that they have been using for over 7 years, don't tell them they can't have it. read more

ATTENTION, ATTENTION DON'T LEAVE YOUR CAR OVERNIGHT!!! They have no Security cameras on the outside or in the bays. Had some things stolen out of my car. After looking around the car after it happened . Driver side seat had spots of grease on seat! No reason anyone needed to be in passenger side seat with work was on front of car. Midas after it happened said they are not responsible for anything stolen out of car! Also always get second opinion on what's wrong with car. Got a coupon in the mail for an oil change at this location. I was thrilled when I called them that they were able to get me in just a few hours later. I have previously always gone to the dealership for my oil changes and I have to wait several days to get in. The service here took longer than some oil change places, about 70 minutes in and out, but that's not bad. The employees were very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. The facility looks well-maintained and is clean. Even the waiting room is comfortable with lots of chairs and a TV. I'll likely go back here for my next oil change, although even with my coupon the cost was about the same as going to the dealership. read more

I dread going to an automotive place being a woman, for obvious reasons. There's so many places out there that scam people, trying to get them to spend as much money as possible. Today I was able to call and take my car in the same day to get a couple dashboard lights checked out that had been on for a week or so. I called around 3 places- they all said they would have to run a diagnostic that would be $130-$160. This morning I called Midas around 9am and they got me in at 1pm. I waited for them to check my car out, which they did for free. They even tipped off my breaker fluid and test drove my car 3 times to make sure everything was OK which I really appreciated. I ended up not having any issues with my car. Chad and Robert were great. This whole situation was a relief. I recommend this location. read more

Short story: after a headache experience at a local and well-rated tire specialty company, I brought my car to Midas and got my tires checked out and fixed quickly, professionally, and efficiently. Long story: We had a completely flat tire the day after getting serviced by the other company. Zak was helpful and straightforward on the phone about availability and was able to fit me in same day. AAA put the spare on and I drove over. After being assessed by the technician, Zak showed me on the tire itself where the other company ruined our tire bead (which is what caused it to go flat and stay flat), even offering to be on the other line to clear up the issue when I drove over to the other company. Zak kindly explained that the other company owed me a tire, and that he didn't want to charge me for something I shouldn't have to pay for. Wonderful, honest professionalism. And $180 saved for pointing out someone else's mistake. The technician also noticed the other company had overinflated our other tires, so he put them to the correct psi. After an interesting experience getting the tire I was owed, I called Zak back for another appointment to get the new tire checked out. Again, he fit me in same day and was honest about the wait time. During the final inspection, the Midas technician found that the other company did not balance the new tire when it was installed. Very thankful for Midas and the people there who do their jobs honestly and properly. read more

These guys are the most ethical mechanics. They went above and beyond for me. I'm so impressed with how Kennan took time to show and explain things to me when another shop basically lied to me. It had been a rough day, and to top it off, my skip plate on the bottom of my car was half falling off. I called Midas after an unhappy experience at another car dealership, and the Midas man on the phone was calm, patient, and assured me I could come in and they would take a look. I came into Midas harried and exhausted and sat in the waiting room. The man at the desk thoughtfully and silently changed the TV channel from 2 and a Half Men (which was playing when I walked in) to a cooking show he thought I would prefer (I was so touched!). A few minutes later, the smiling, friendly woman who take care of my car returned my keys, and they said it didn't cost me anything to screw back on the skip plate. After a weary day, I was especially grateful for the care, thought, and kindness each person at Midas displayed. This will certainly be my new go-to auto shop. Thank you!! read more

Went in to have some service on my Ford Explorer. The manager, Gabriel Ojeda, was extremely polite, very professional and most of all he got my vehicle serviced quickly! Since his techs were already working on other customers' cars, Gabriel did the quick repair on my vehicle himself!!! I was very pleasantly surprised by his commitment to superior customer service!! I would strongly recommend this location to anyone who requires service and/or repair for a place you can trust and know the price will be very competitive! Sorry to say, I've had several experiences with this location of Midas. Although Keenan is probably a very nice person, he will not prioritize the customer... you can see it right after he assures you that you are a priority. The work is substandard at times and you would THINK that they would get right on top of "making things right." Not going to happen in my experience. This location of Midas needs to go over to Discount Tire and just observe great customer service. Sure, everyone makes mistakes... it's the manager who really cares about the customer... that is what will set you and your company apart. read more

His lack of common sense customer service, no apologies and no thank you, prompted me to finally join Yelp. I only wish there were an option for 0 stars. I know I've already reviewed the guys at this Midas location, but I can't say enough good things about them. I had another emergency service situation (my car was having major trouble starting) and I took it in on a Thursday morning. They didn't repair anything before calling and getting my approval and they had me back on the road by 4pm! I knew that they had a lot to work on, so it was awesome that they fit me in & had it ready so quickly. read more

Both my husband and I have been taking our cars to this Midas for as long as I can remember. They are always straight up and explain things in a way that people (people meaning me!) in a way that can be understood. I have to shout out to JOHN! Recently my husband and I have had car issues. My car was a hot mess and John was honest and told me that it wasn't worth the cost of getting it fixed. Plus informed me that I was driving a death machine! I've since bought a new car. Last Friday (8/26/2016) John really came through for us. My husband's car broke down and we had it towed to Midas. John was still in the office, after working a long long day. He took a look, gave us an estimate and was able to fit us in to get everything taken care of. We drove, happy as a clam until we realized we had left our house keys on the key ring my husband gave to John. OMG, such a pain. We called on the off chance that someone was still there. Lo and behold John was STILL there and was happy to wait for us to come back to get the keys. Crisis averted! Overall, every experience with Midas State Line is a painless experience. Got an inspection done at a different auto repair place, they told me I needed to get a welding job to patch the exhaust pipe on my mom's car. They said it would be very easy and inexpensive, which was good because my mother is going through hard times at the moment. So I took it to this Midas location and asked if they could patch it. They told me it was impossible, and there was too much rust on the exhaust pipe, but I could see that there was not. They told me that I MUST buy a new exhaust and have them put it on for over 400 dollars. That is not cheap for my mother, its about all she has at the moment. I realize they thought I was young and dumb, but I told them I am going to get a second opinion and if they are lying to me I would post a review. So here I am, got my mothers exhaust fixed for one tenth of the price at 40 dollars, including a tip. Of course, it would have been closer to 60 dollars if the new mechanic wasn't a friend of a friend. Either way, this place will cheat you if they perceive that you are not knowledgeable about car repairs, which lets face it, most people are not. Also, when I called to inform the manager of my complaint they made an excuse that he was either "out buying parts," or "wouldn't be back until tomorrow," I asked them if they often ran the store without a manager, and frustrated I told the man on the phone to let the manager know I was posting this review and to be more fair in future business, and that he was lucky I didn't call the better business bureau. There are plenty of places that are still at least fair, and Thurgood ain't gonna let these guys rip off young kids or old ladies anymore. Thank you. read more
