Fabulous first experience here!! I desperately needed an oil change and I have only ever gotten my oil change at Midas' in California, so I was happy to see a Midas close to where I worked. I booked an appointment online with ease and it was confirmed within 30min. My appointment was for an oil change at 1pm, so I arrived 10min prior to park and get any other info sorted out. I decided to wait inside for my car to be finished and had such a lovely time chatting it up with the two front desk people. Once my oil was changed, payment was super easy and they also gave me some good advice regarding my car. I will absolutely be returning for any future car work! Edit: I have to give a shout out to Staci here. Not only does she have a great personality, she is very friendly, AND she had called me after my oil change to let me know I had left my water bottle. I wasn't able to pick it up the same day, so Staci had let me know they would hold onto it until the next day they were open (which was Monday since they are closed Sundays). Wheel alignment. I had an oil change at a different service center and they said My front tires were all chewed up and I needed an alignment quickly. I figured I would need new tires also and felt like I just had it done... but it had been in 2019! 45 miles later , sure enough they were done! They are specialty tires and Robert found me a good deal! The ride home was 1000 times better! I had my brakes done there before and had forgotten about Robert's honest ways and kind explanations . I recently had my brakes replaced and I needed a battery along with an oil change. I went to this Midas because I read good reviews. So I gave it a try. I did end up spending around $1700. I needed both front and rear brakes. I went a long time past the initial warning about my brakes. I think what I appreciated the most is that they made me feel comfortable and not prejudged for waiting so long. I didn't have the money to fix them when I first noticed the warning. They were down to earth and my brakes are doing great! I feel much safer and so far No issues. I had my brakes replaced in November 2024. I appreciate the work they did. I am also happy to learn about the Brake Pad lifetime warranty. Awesome news! read more

Our tire had a slow leak and given that it's the holiday season and everyone is so backed up, we were going to have to wait quite awhile until I called Midas. I went to the Issaquah Midas for a scheduled 4-wheel tire alignment appointment this morning. The staff there are friendly and got me in promptly within a few minutes of my actual appointment time. The work was performed well and in a timely manner, but the alignment machine had some issues at the end and they were not able to fully finish the alignment when trying to make the final adjustments after the alignment tech had done a test drive. They were up-front and honest and showed me the machine that was having issues and because they were not able to complete the service to 100%, they did not charge me for the alignment and told me once they get it fixed, I could come back and they will complete the alignment for me. Because of my experience at their shop, I will gladly bring my vehicles for any services that I need done in the future. It is obvious that this shop cares not only about customer service, but also about the quality of their work. Damn. After so many years of hitting the mark, I have to come back to update my review. Yesterday, I decided to do my front breaks and rotors myself. As a former auto tech, I know it's easy enough to do, and I wanted a project for an hour. After getting the driver front wheel off, I noticed a caliper hook hanging from a place that I'd never want to hang a caliper from since it's plastic and bends. Also, thanks for the caliper hook..I guess? Also, the 12mm that holds the break line bracket in place wasn't tightened down at all. In fact, the bracket itself was bent. This can happen for several reasons, but it shouldn't happen at all. Tools shouldn't get left behind, and bolts shouldn't be left untightened. The whole point of hanging the caliper is so you don't bend the lines and cause a fracture, leading to a leak. Luckily, there were no leaks that I could see, so no breaks in that line. This break job was done a couple of years ago, but thankfully, the mistakes didn't compound and lead to issues. Needless to say, I'll take some aspirin and do my own breaks until I can't anymore and just find a new mechanic. I started using Midas about 3 years ago for oil changes and performing an overall maintenance check of my vehicle. Even though I don't know a lot about cars, I do my due diligence and often times got a second opinion. It turns out the second opinion would always results in additional items getting added to the list. When I took it back to Midas they always let me know why those other items were not important to get fixed right now. This last time around, they went above and beyond, helping me strategically prioritize a break replacement that needed to get done along with giving me a discount I didn't even know was being offered at the time. The guy up front was friendly, and the job was done satisfactorly, but I got to tell you the price I paid was more than double what it shold have been. How do I know? Cause I got a quote from my usual Midas shop in Silverdale... and not too long before had a similar job done at the Silverdale shop as well. (when I went to bring my car into them they called and told me they had just lost their muffler mechanic so I'd have to find a different place to do the work.) I needed a new exhaust pipe... about 2 feet of pipe. Took about 1/2 hour to complete and I was charged over $250 labor ($350 total) for the job. That's just wrong. read more

UPDATE : i am taking away my 5 star review and I will not come here again. After I got my car serviced they said everything was great , breaks were ok etc. Fast forward 3 weeks and my car tells me "brake fluid low" so I get worried and take it to Midas and then they tell me oh you're breaks are very thin and you need new rotors and it's will be almost 400 bucks .... But wait, you just told me breaks had life left, " oh we must have not looked at all of the break pads ". What a joke !!! I left , went to les Schwab and paid 275 and didn't need new rotors. What a disappointment , I will not return Came in because of all the great reviews and I'm so happy I did . John at the front desk is so nice and so helpful. I always hate getting my car serviced for anything because most places always tell you something is wrong and that you need something fixed . I picked up a large nail in rear tire. Alex and Jeremiah were especially helpful! When they determined the tire couldn't be fixed, they tried to replace it but don't carry large pickup sizes. Jeremiah put on our old spare after determining it was functional and rotated it to a front tire so the rears matched tread. They got us back on the road to drive 80 miles home when others wouldn't. I'll be honest, I rarely leave an auto repair shop that I just paid nearly $1,000 and think to myself, "I'm really glad I came here!" Well, today was the day. While on the westside, I discovered that I needed some brake work done before heading back over the pass so I looked up places on my way out of town and stumbled upon Midas in Issaquah. The online appointment tracker said they didn't have an appointment until late in the day but when I called, they said they would hold a bay and get me right in. I arrived and indeed they had a bay ready for me to practically drive up on. After giving me an estimate for what I could possibly need and giving me a 90 minute timeline, they ended up not needing to replace all of the parts and had it done in about 45 minutes. I was able to return and pickup my truck quickly, I showed them a coupon that I found which they actually beat by an extra $30 (every little bit helps!). I am an owner of a vintage car (1940s) and was in need of a tail pipe for my car. I removed the old tail pipe and took it to the men at Midas. The desk manager was friendly and very professional. The technician was tremendous. He took the pipe and indicated he could make what I needed and would have it ready for me by the end of the day. Before the end of the day, the manager called and told me the pipe was ready. When I arrived, I was told if I had any issues the shop would help me resolve them. The cost was reasonable. I had made an appointment to get help with my battery. The staff was prompt and worked efficiently, and were clear in their communication with me. The reason for the lower rating is because there were zero precautions made for COVID-19. There were signs placed on the front door, but the staff were not wearing any masks. The mechanic who took my car did not wear any mask and drove my car with the windows rolled up. I stayed in the lobby waiting with my mask on, but then stepped outside in the cold because I felt uncomfortable. Before taking my car home I sanitized as much of the surface area as I could and drove home with the windows rolled down. Another customer made the same comment in Aug 2020 that there was little consideration for customer safety against the pandemic. read more

When he said it was free of charge we had to ask Jeremiah to repeat what he said. We came in today with a nail in one of the tires and they were able to get us in and assess the tire immediately. It took Jeremiah less than 10 min to compete the assessment and re-patch the tire, and most importantly, he had a smile on his face the entire time. I wanted to get my car inspected because I'm making a big trip at the end of the week. There was an opening the following morning, so I brought my car in then. John was SO friendly! After thirty minutes, he came out stating my car looked perfect to drive a long distance. And the best part is that it was a curtesy inspection! John even said "you can't put a price on safety." Pros: *staff was friendly *no charge for a tire repair Cons: *no regard for customer safety during a pandemic- there was a sign posted on the door saying masks were required and there was no waiting in the lobby, chairs would be moved outside for the customers' convenience. Well not a single worker was wearing a mask, not even Robert at the front desk who was dealing with customers face to face in an enclosed room. Chairs were left indoors and I was told to take a seat and wait. I got so uncomfortable of people walking in and out without masks on, I took it upon myself to wait outside *I wasn't informed of what was happening with my car. If you want something done right, you do it yourself. It's an easy small job replacing a muffler. It was a muffler replacement, plane and simple. Two welds, two tacks, and you want 3 hours and $400 for that? Get outta here. At another shop I had a custom downpipe with several cuts/welds/bends on a custom turbo build I was doing, your competitor laid dimes and it was $600 for that. And you want $400 for a muffler swap? Your guys did an hour of work (that includes the time taking my car, pulling it around, discussing what needed to be done, taking the car back off the lift, and me paying). Actual labor time was closer to 40 minutes and I paid for an hour of labor + shop supplies. Why would I pay 3 hours of labor? Also my comment about o'reilly's was to highlight the 3x inflated prices. And seriously, all day to swap a muffler? Axle back bolts hold the front and oem rear hangers align the back. If you think all day, or even more then an hour is needed for an OEM muffler replacement, you're mistaken. The scope of the work I needed done was chopping out an OEM muffler and welding in a new one. But the manager was trying to take me to the cleaners. To give you a background, I used to race, I have built several cars, and most recently have gotten into off-roading and building out my Tacoma. Originally I was quoted one hour. When I showed up all the sudden it was 3. Again this is for two welds, and 2 hangers tacked. Oh and I had already removed the exhaust and made one of the two cuts. The mechanic was super nice and his expectations aligned with mine. The front end manager though seem to have an ego complex. The guys in the shop were already getting to work and he came in to tell them what to do, just so you could add his two cents. He made comments about the fact that he had been doing this for 20 years and he knew everything. I told him I wasn't going to pay $400, which is what he wanted. He asked what was fair and I said an hour at most. In my head I was thinking that would be the absolute most. From the time they took my keys to the time I got back in the car was exactly an hour. The problem I'm having is that I had to fight for the right price. Can't imagine how many people get taken advantage here. I appreciated that after I said I would take my business elsewhere, he was willing to work on the price, but that conversation shouldn't have even had to happen. He also wanted to charge me $12 per hanger times four hangers, but only two were used, and their $3 at O'Reilly's. This business could thrive with someone else working the front. As for Covid, everyone was wearing a mask, and seemed to be taking necessary precautions. It seems like they did work on that. One star for the nice mechanics and good work. Last Thursday I was bringing my wife to a medical appointment in Issaquah. While traveling in the HOV lane on I-90 i ran over an object which ripped the undercover of the engine which caused it to drag on the pavement. After going to a number of auto repair locations to have it checked, to no avail, I stopped at the Midas station to see if I may get some help. I didn't have any cash or credit cards on me. After explaining my situation to Robert within 15 minutes he had the car looked at and the undercover removed. Robert is a gentleman and a scholar and deserves a shout out. I have a Tesla Model S and recently picked up a nail in the tire that was causing a slow leak. I had heard that many shops won't service Teslas because of the vehicle weight, and so I called around to at least 5 tire repair shops and was told that they actually won't work on Teslas with factory tires since they come with some sort of acoustic dampening lining instead the tire (it's a pain to deal with and can require some special equipment apparently). I called Tesla and basically just got the run around, so I kept going through the phone book until Issaquah Midas said to bring it in. They were able to squeeze me in on short notice and fixed it in less than 10 min with a plug. Service was awesome, they saved me, highly recommend! read more

They went above and beyond today! I called to see if they could get my in this week. They had a cancellation and got me in. My car was making screeching noises, sputtering, and other high pitch noises. They took care of everything and gave me an amazing price. It took four hours, but it was worth it. They were busy, yet, made me feel like I was the only person there. So grateful for them. My car doesn't make anymore noises, and we are safe. I will only go to them moving forward! read more
