I brought my car here when it overheated. Turns out, oil leaked into my coolant and I needed a ton of work done. They took care of the company who handles my extended warranty. Communication from Rich and Rick was awesome on the status of my car! I had to have a new transmission and radiator installed which was covered by my warranty. They had my Xterra for about 2 weeks. They did a fantastic job fixing my vehicle and handled my questions patiently. Highly recommend these guys!!! read more

Came in to get an oil change. I normally go to a different shop for oil changes but I went to Midas because I had a coupon. They notified me that there was a oil leak that needed repair. After calculating the price of the repairs total came out to $800. Seemed a little high. So I took my car to the original place I go to, to get a second opinion and they told me the same thing as Midas about the things that needed repaired which only is costing me $570. Midas overcharges for everything! I also had them replace my cabin filter which they charged me $50 for!Then I find out the actual filter prices online were around $15 and that I could have just changed it myself. I will not be returning to Midas for anything. Always get a second opinion! It will save you money. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. Avoid this shop unless you want to have the worst job done on your car!!! The mechanic left a rag in my engine. Didnt tighten a clamp so my car had to be towed back into the shop because it was leaking after they worked on it. Broke the metal bar off of my car that holds the hood up. Over filled some fluids and under filled antifreeze. The list goes on!!! I had to take my car to another shop and pay more to get the job completed!!!! You would think if these guys are certified they'd have some respect for their job!!!!! Just don't go here to get any work done!!!!! read more

Horrible customer service! Brought my car in for an oil change! They forgot to put the plug in. Car leaked all of the oil out and could have blown my engine! They "fixed " it the next day after my car staled out multiple times. When I asked what they would do if my engine had problem in the near future..their exact words were, " You will have to prove it, and it is hard to prove ". Extremely rude. This was the worst mechanic experience ever. I had a warranty on a car I bought in Colorado Springs so they contracted it here. It was very clear that the employees here hated that the fact that it was a warranty job. They fixed pieces at a time and cost me 3 deductible payments when they could have done it right in the first trip. If there was a negative category rating I would absolute use it, I had the worse customer service experience in my like this last month! I used a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation, have the oil change was done with least posible attention to deatil and no tire rotation was done at all. However I was given a quote for over 1,500 dollars of additional work which I know you did not need to be performed, the technicians even went as far as loosening my 4 wheel drive front axle seals to inspect them for no reason which led to a massive leak and force me to take it to a more professional no service or to have it fixed. So not only did I not get the requested repair the oil change and tire rotation I requested they also did invasive investigations into my engine in 4 wheel drive which led to leaks and service issues after I left the shop when I called back and confronted them about the tire rotation which they did not perform I was told that the technicians professional advice was not to rotate the tires until the next oil change which I inform them it was way past time for the oil the tire rotation to be done and I was given a blasé answer of well that's our technicians professional opinion!!! In all my 52 years of driving experience I have never received such unsatisfactory and mediocre service from any dealership aftermarket service or substandard customer service from not only the technicians but the management as well. Please feel free to contact me at anytime day or night and I will discuss in detail the lack of general customer that this Midas store showed to me and I'm sure to other customers and patrons if you'll read the past ongoing comments!!!! Rick Bauer and Rich Hoke have gone out of their way to service my 1998 Toyota 4-runner. I have been taking my car here for service and repairs and they have always been honest and knowledgeable about what needs to be fixed. They get me in right away and seldom do I have to wait more than a couple of hours to hear back from them that the car is ready or additional repairs need to be made. I would recommend them to all my friends as a great, friendly place to have their car serviced. read more

Avoid this place at all cost unless you like being ripped off, lied to and paying $100's of dollars in damages they cause... Needed an oil change done before I brought my car in for emissions. Had them do an oil change and rotate tires. After everything was finished, came in to pay and he starts going on how my transmission fluid was dark--unfortunately for him, he didn't know I had just had the transmission completely rebuilt a few weeks ago. When I confronted him on it, the back peddling began with "oh i didn't mean it was dark but that you should check it". Started becoming irritated and told him you just told me specifically it was dark. Anyways, I dropped it as I had 45 min to get to the emissions center. Start driving to the emissions center and just about to get onto I-70 when i noticed a metallic noise. Pull over and start checking the lug nuts. 1 lug nut missing back rear and all 4 lug nuts on the front left were completely loose(they forgot to torque them after he threaded them on) I could turn all the nuts by hand they were that loose. Called them up and Dan tells me to drive a mile back to the shop.......Well what happens if my wheel falls off. He tells me "we'll pay if anything happens".....ya right... What idiot shop tells a customer to drive back to their shop with a wheel completely because they forgot to tighten it? I get back and I'm quite upset. Driving down a highway at 70 miles an hr and have your wheel fall off was not a good thought. At this point, I was thankful it was me that had brought the car in and not my wife and 1 1/2 yr. old son as she would probably not have noticed the sound and got on the highway and into an accident if not killed because of the incompetence of this place. Long story short, after the emissions, I go back to the shop and ask if they check for any damages. Mechanic tries to check without me even looking at the rotor or anything and as I walk over hes already putting the wheel back on. Tell him I want to see it as I don't trust anything they say or do at this point. He didn't want me to see it as there was damage to the rotor and he tries saying they are normal "rust chips on the rotor that's 4 yrs old....no other rotor on the car has these "rust chips" Hub where the rotor slides onto is damaged. They basically tell me they caused no damage and everything was there already. Brought the car to another shop 1 1/2 weeks later as I start hearing noise on the front left. Mechanic at the other shop was laughing at the "rust chip" excuse and shows me the full damage caused on the hub and rotor and even went as far as pulling off the wheels from the other 3 to show me only the front left rotor/hub had damage on it. Simple oil change ends up costing me $200+ in damages due to their negligence. My only regret is I didn't have my camera phone recording everything from start to finish and not just the mechanic at the end telling me more lies. read more

Took my vehicle here to get the break lines flushed. Spent over $325 for a bench bleed and break line flush. The manager told me he would check for a part next week and give me a call. The manager also told me he would discount me next time since the break flush was so expensive. He never called, which I assume he never checked on the part. He just wanted to take my money and not actually help me out. Wish I would have checked the reviews before I went to this place. When people say "scam alert" their absolutely right. I will never return to this place for any vehicle repairs. read more

Not too happy after I spent $800.00 on something I was told I didn't need at a dealership. Just moved here from Boston - I'm sure they'll figure out who I am after this review and was in a panic because I needed to get my car registered here in Colorado asap. So I went here since it's closed to my house... Of course it cost $140 to just get codes pulled when I could've went to AutoZone and got the same codes pulled, but it was a "full diagnostic". Whatever - I spent it because again, I was panicked. Guy Kevin from New York calls me up and says I should sit down because my MAP sensor went to trash. Mind you, I just moved from Boston (0 miles sea level to Lakewood 5280 sea level) so of course my car will throw some codes around. Again, in a panic, I said to myself I already paid $140, let's just pay the extra $700 something to get this done and over with. I do it, get my car registered, and I'm good... so I thought. Check engine light came back on, of course, and I bring it back. I think this good guy Eric (name?) comes out and checks my codes and checks my barometric pressure which was now throwing the codes. Something I thought it was from the beginning, and I should've went with my gut, was the issue. He told me to go to an Infiniti dealership and he was actually helpful. I went to the dealership, they reprogrammed my ECM to match the altitude change and now I've been good since then. The kicker? The dealership said I didn't even need to change my MAP sensor. Shame on me for pulling the trigger too fast, and shame on me for trusting Midas. Shame on me again for not going with my gut and going to the dealership. Most importantly, shame on me for not getting the "broken MAP sensor" after Midas changed it to get it tested and checked. Seriously screw this place and I'm appalled at Kevin trying to be my "friend from the east coast". Again, I guess it's my fault for trusting them - $140.00 to diagnose my car; tack on about $700.00 extra to "repair it" and actually do nothing but change my air filters and MAP sensor for no reason; and then pay $145.00 to reprogram my ECM at an Infiniti dealership anyway. Thanks guys. You get 2 stars because the second guy actually helped me by telling me to go to Infiniti. read more

Awful experience! I waited over 15 minutes to be greeted when I walked in, waiting for the guy to get off the phone. Understandable to take a call, but not two more after that, interrupting the in-person conversation you are having with a customer (me). Not to mention, I HAD SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT! Finally got my car checked in for an oil change... Took over an hour for them to call me to tell me to come pick it up. I got back within 5 minutes and it wasn't even ready! They then up-sold me on an air filter... which is cool, I needed one. But what they didn't tell me is that a normal 2 minute job was going to take almost another hour! They didn't have any in stock and instead of informing me of this, they ran out and bought one, taking a ton of extra time. If I had known this, I would not have stuck around. I scheduled the appointment for a reason. I had places to be, and was consequently late because I was waiting longer than necessary. At the end, he didn't walk through any of the maintenance report with me or anything else that is recommended, and did not fill out the "summary of my visit" page. In the grand scheme of things, the paperwork isn't a big deal. However, it just helps prove the lack of customer service attention that was paid. NEVER going back!! Do yourself a favor. I had a terrible experience with this store. An OIL CHANGE took 1.5 hours. Then they wanted to give me a free brake inspection, which I really appreciate! After inspection, which took another hour, it was decided that I needed two new brake pads, calipers and something else, which would take another 1.5 hours. I didn't have the time yesterday, so I scheduled an appointment for today. Rick told me he would get the parts there yesterday so that my wait today wouldn't be too long. Well, Rick lied. I got here this morning at 9:40 am for my 10 am appt. it is now 1 pm and I am STILL WAITING for a part to get here that Rick "was going to get yesterday". This is absolutely ridiculous, I have never had such terribly long service. Rick and the crew are nice and friendly but by no means are they quick. I'm in from out of state and really baffled by the length both of these processes has been. I do not recommend this Midas for any service. read more

I stopped by to see if they would fill up my two tires with air since I didn't have any coins for the gas stations. I was willing to pay for the services but they were quick to dismiss that idea. They not only filled up my tires, they filled up my washer fluid, and topped off my oil not expecting anything. Given this excellent service, I decided to buy a full set of new tires with them. They fit me in same day to service the tires and drove me to work. Great service. read more

This place was a joke went in for an oil change originally earliar in the afternoon and didnt seem like an Older Gentleman didnt want to do anything or wanted my business !! Like wth..anyways made an apt came back now on two seperate occasions before and after i made note about my power steerind fluid it was checked off on paper work left its still whinning checked while it had been running it was hott.. and still empty i called and was very dissapoinyed future work will be done else where dont want that midas touch. I have never had anything but a great experience with these guys. I have always gotten day-of service so I'm only ever without a car for one day. They always take the time to go on a drive with me so I can show them what's wrong. Then they provide a shuttle so I can get to and from work. They don't talk down to me but they also make sure I understand what they found with my car. I highly recommend them. My car is a 2001 VW Beetle and they are perfectly comfortable and competent working on it. read more

Worst Midas experience to have break pads and rotors replaced. From the moment I drove away from the Midas at 11411 West Colfax Ave Lakewood Co 80215 the breaks were squalling so bad it sounded like the breaks needed replaced. When I took my car back to talk with the store manager Don Wicks and shop manager Mark Mayberry all they could tell me is the problem was due to the customers poor driving skills and other repair work that was needed, which was not mentioned during the break inspection. Not once did Don or Mark take any responsibility for poor workmanship that was performed. This is the Midas touch you are guaranteed to receive at this shop location on West Colfax. Don will ensure the customer is overcharged for the car repairs he ensures poor quality workmanship and won't honor the warranty's. I had to get the District Manager Bill involved out of the Corporate office to honor my service work warranty. I was advised to take my car to Midas at 3805 N. Wadsworth Blvd Wheatridge Co 80033. The Shop Manager Tim after a quality inspection found that the LEFT FRONT BREAKS were missing all the "Hardware" that holds the break pads in place and that this was causing the loud squalling problem. This shop honored the repairs under warranty and since this work was performed two weeks ago the loud squalling has stopped and not returned. The car breaking systems is now safe and will ensure not to fail. The shop on 3805 N Wadsworth Blvd was honest and performed the repairs as expected. Also they took responsibility for the poor customer service received by West Colfax and the poor repair work that was performed by the West Colfax shop. Also they did this without talking bad about the West Colfax shop. Which I have to say the West Colfax shop did nothing but talk BAD about the N Wadsworth Shop when I first drove into this shop for break work. My learning experience is to "STAY AWAY" from the West Colfax shop and choose the Midas Shop carefully when car repairs are required because some shops "DON'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO PERFORM REPAIR WORK, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, TALK WITH CUSTOMERS, UNDERSTAND AND HONOR REPAIR WORK WARRANTY'S. read more

Yesterday February 2, 2019 my college student son woke to a dead battery in my truck that he is using while in college. AAA said he needed a new battery and he had the vehicle towed to the nearest shop which unfortunately was this Midas. This was my son's first experience replacing a battery - he unfortunately left the process to the folks at this Midas. They did not give him an estimate or tell him what price to expect. Two and a half hours and $287!!!! later they had successfully charged twice as much as any local competitor for the same battery and installation. After my son shared with me the cost I called the store where I had a lengthy and trying conversation with the manager Mark M. who informed me there was no discussion on price adjustment, price matching, return of the purchased battery, that he did not have the Regional Manager or Owner's number or email. He finally gave me the owners name Jeff J. but said he did not have contact information. He was rude and combative. He finally said he would pass my information to the District Manager. He wouldn't let me talk, he stonewalled me, and then hung up before getting my contact information to forward to the manager. I will let you decide if you will do business with this store... I certainly will not and will let others know of my experience. read more

I've never had any issue's with my service at Midas. I have had my oil changed at the same place for a few years now. They put new tires on my car and gave me a great maintance on my car as well last year. I've never had an issue at this place either. I find them to be friendly. read more
