Took my car in for AC diagnostic. They said it just needed to be charged and coolant added. Bought the service but still didn't fix the issue. Returned 3-times and every time the guys at the counter just kept saying "you have to park in the shade, your car just gets hot." Finally on the third visit one of the mechanics suggests what's actually wrong with it (AC compressor), instead of trying to keep selling me other things like the front desk guys. ZERO Stars!! DO NOT GO HERE!! I went to them for a new muffler on July 20, 2021. I had an 8:00 AM appointment. The TWO managers ignored me for 3 minutes at the counter while they read on the computer. Finally they put my car on the lift and cut off the muffler. Then it sits untouched for 90 minutes! I asked the manager and he says they ran out of welding gas. This means TWO tanks empty and nobody ordered any. Over 70 minutes later the manager arrives with a tank. It took over 3 hours to get 15 minutes of work done. When I left, my tailpipe was rattling but I didn't have time to go back that day. Later, I called and made a new appointment. They looked at it and took it for a drive without saying a word. I reminded him that I had a shifting issue and the guy driving needs to know that. The Mgr. refused to call him on the phone. I saw him almost get hit twice while driving my Jeep! The manager REFUSED to give me the number for Midas Inc. The mechanic returns and tells me nothing is wrong with it and then tells me to F**k OFF while flipping the bird at me. When I filmed him doing this a second time, he HIT ME! The manager was not concerned at all. So glad I went here and I will come back in the future for my car needs. I called to ask about possibly replacing my wiper fluid reservoir because the fluid kept leaking out. I was told I could come in with out an appointment and when I did they inspected the car, for FREE while my dealership would have charged me, and discovered that a squirrel had chewed on the hose and the fluid reservoir was fine. The hose was replaced quickly and a lot cheaper than the dealership as well. Thanks guys!!! read more

I came in for an oil change and a tire rotation. When I asked for the technician working in my car to wear a mask, The owner lectured me about how Covid isn't that serious. First of all, I didn't ask for your credentials from Fox News University. Second of all, it's my vehicle and I can make that request regardless of the owners feelings. He made a big fuss out of "he will if he has a mask". When I responded "I have extra" he said "I have a box here". Okay so why the attitude? I am still here, 2 hours later. Again, I came in for a tire rotation and an oil change. As soon as I left, my car was vibrating on acceleration so I came right back in. Turns out, they drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil. Now there are 4 mechanics working in and around my car trying to figure out how to fix their mistake. My car has been lifted and lowered about 8 times so far, I'm still in the waiting room. My next mission is to find out if they will refund me for the pleasure of them nearly ruining my car. ZERO! Stay Away! They are liars. I brought my car because of a check engine light. They said the sensor was probably dirty, they cleaned it, and said if it came back on, I would need a new Mass Air Flow Sensor. Light came back on, so I made an appointment and got the new part installed. Less than one hour later the check engine light came back on. So, I called and schedule to bring it back the next week. Next appointment they "reinstalled the part" and again the light came back a couple of hours later. Brought it in a THRID TIME and they said they had fixed it and driven it all around to double check. And AGAIN, a couple hours later the check engine light came on again. I called back and the manager/ owner, John, told me he didn't know what else they could do. I asked if I should take it to the dealer. He said yes, and if it was their mistake, they would "make it right". So, I took it to the dealer, who said they had used a cheap knock off part, and that they had specked it wrong. The dealer showed me what the part should have been and the part they installed and pointed out the differences. The dealer said because they put in the wrong part, I was getting terrible milage and I need to clean fuel air induction. Ok, so I called John, explained what had happened and asked for a refund. He refused. I pointed out that he said he would when he told me to go to the dealer. He was adamant that the part they used was name brand and the right part and they had done nothing wrong. I pointed out that if they had done nothing wrong, why did the check engine light keep coming on. Obviously, something was wrong. He said if I came in and showed him the difference in the parts, he could refund me the labor. I told him if I am coming back for the FOURTH time to show him that, he was refunding me the whole thing. Since it's been 24 hours since taking it to the dealer and the light is still off, clearly, they were wrong, and it was their mistake. They put in the WRONG PART and then LIED about not using cheap knock offs. And they LIED about making it right if it was their mistake making the repair. How can you refuse to refund something that was done incorrectly, with the wrong part, and was in fact costing me more money in milage because it was done incorrectly!?! I was told to take me car to a different company by the Manager/ Owner because their company couldn't fix it and then I was refused a refund when I find out the repair was done incorrectly. What kind of company does that? Stay away from this place, don't waste your time or money, it's not worth it. read more

mechanics broke a hose while repairing the alternator, however insisted the vehicle came in that way. complete falsehood. advised manager (jimmy) of the damage, instead he reminds me of the converation we had regarding the hose assembly (before they began work). i was supposed to receive a phone call when truck was dropped by tow company...never did. jimmy stated that he was not repairing the part despite his tech breaking when removing the alternator (could have been totally intentional). jimmy gouged the part stating an additonal $920 to repair something that was not damaged when car was brought in. there was no coolant leak (or should a say coolant dump) on truck prior to midas touching the vehicle. instead jimmy was very rude, not polite by any means, and when i called after speaking to him in person, he raised his voice, stated that he was no longer going to "entertain" my concerns and disconnected our call. vehicle has been taken to another mechanic, and due to the negligence at midas, repairing the alternator (labor cost $145+tax) + cost of part (supplied by consumer), it is now costing me an additional $775 to replace the hose assembly that was broken, flush coolant, and due to coolant getting in the cylinder head, i had to replace (4) spark plugs and (4) ignition coils (all on passenger side). previous management was superb at this location (john). i will neeeeever return to this location and will continue to seek restitution for their negligence. read more

They're very nice and our longest wait has been an hour for oil changes, depending on how busy they are we usually leave a little early. Called to get an estimate for the replacement of a catalytic converter for my 2002 Chevy Blazer and was quoted $1,045 with a time estimate of 2 hours. Ended up taking it to a small muffler biz and getting it changed for $298 total with tax in about 30 minutes. I guess at Midas a catalytic converter replacement means they are going to replace my entire exhaust system. Buyer beware, get more estimates. The rent must be really high there. read more

THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE! My car wouldn't start so AAA helped me get it to the nearest mechanic...big mistake. They told my my starter needed to be replaced among other things and the piece was about $250 and the labor would be about 270. They also told me my belts were cracked and there was something wrong with my transmission, in total the bill would be more than a grand. I take good care of my car and thought this sounded suspicious so I called my personal mechanic in Miami. He said the labor for the starter would be no more an an hour and shouldn't exceed $90-$100. When I told the mechanic at Midas that I would not be getting my car fixed there he then decided to inform me he had made a mistake on the maintenance price by choosing an incorrect button on the computer. The manager told me the mistake happens and did not apologize. I took my car to another mechanic who said the starter would cost about $215 but the labor was only $91. He looked at the rest of my car and stated there was nothing wrong with my transmission or belts. This place took one look at me and decided they were going to scam me. DON'T GO HERE! read more
