I've found Paul and his team at this particular Midas honest and trustworthy and in most cases, I've found that their pricing takes a lot of my incentive away to try a repair myself to save money. I drive the freeway EVERY day during rush hour traffic. 70 miles a day round trip. I could feel the need for new brakes (after all it's been 35,000 miles in stop and go traffic.) I went online and requested an appointment. I received a call shortly there after. Discussed the reason I wanted to bring my car in and it turns out, I needed my front rotors replaced and my back's turned. Didn't take the crew long and they were honest, courteous and professional. Terrible! Stay away!! There are plenty of auto repair shops around. I went to them back in December to have my tires balanced /rotated. I had a $20 coupon they sent because I'm a new resident to the area. Well they upcharged and then took off the $20. After the coupon it was $38 to balance the tires. I could pay that elsewhere with no coupon. Today I decided its close by and to give them another try. $19.99 coupon for an oil change was sent to me. I arrived and asked about diagnosing an intermittent problem and was told its $125. So they wont even hook up the computer to your car to diagnose. Its $125. The guy behind the counter barked at another employee as I walked in and then seemed annoyed. Proceeded explaining their $125 fee. I was ACTUALLY going to go for it until he said my oil, since its "semi synthetic" is going to be $49.99. I have had my oil changed in this car every 6 months or so for 9 years and the most they ever charged was $29. RIP OFF ALERT! BEWARE. read more

Went there for an oil change, which was fine and done promptly. My problem is they said both of my front bushings (lower arm controls) were broken and needed to be replaced. I was given a "discounted" quote of $1700, which was allegedly a 50% discount. I had the dealership take a look at it and there was absolutely NO damage and no need for replacement or repair. Obviously this place is out to make people spend money on unnecessary repairs in order to make a quick buck. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend this place, even for an oil change. read more

Our family is a Midas fan in general but this is our favorite location. The staff here is genuine. They remember you and details about you, which makes us feel comfortable. And they seem honest. Some places you can't get in and out without being offered something, but here, they're more concerned about what you may actually need and are honest about what you can hold off on. HONEST SERVICE. So glad I came here for a second opinion. Firestone in Peoria quoted me $1600 (!!!!!!!) for a new air compressor. Called Midas and spoke with Jonah who said to bring it by and he'd look at it. Mind you it was already past 5pm and they close at 6. He said even if it was the compressor they'd beat that price. Thank goodness for him, some caps were old and leaky and my freon levels weren't right (Firestone also emptied my freon before I left, classy). Jonah worked on it himself for 2 HOURS until my AC was blowing cold. So kind. Walked out the door paying $100. Look out for Jonah or Jose, they are kind, honest and you can tell they love their job. read more

Terrible service. Did not get a call after making my appointment online like they are supposed to do. Called in and was told "I think I dialed the wrong number." Apparently never bothered to try again and try the right number, Had to move my appointed and when I arrived found out they never made my appointment. No apology, only explanation was it was busy, but he remembered our phone call so he clearly was in the wrong. Said I had to wait to get my car taken in. Never got my appointment time THEY messed up on. Two hours later I left with my oil changed. I will never ever return to this awful location. read more

Went in because I figured something was wrong with my AC drainage tube after I kept noticing wet floor mats on the front passenger side. They fixed the issue quickly, explained what had been wrong (tube had gotten kinked somehow the last time I had an alignment check) and briefly went over the other things I should take care of in the near future. When I went to pay, they said it was no charge which was absolutely unexpected - I figured the cost wouldn't be crazy since I didn't need parts replaced but service was above and beyond. No pushy upselling, respectful and competent mechanics, professional from start to finish. Reading other reviews, I'm obviously not the only one who's impressed. read more

I took my 2005 Acura TL to another auto shop and they told me all of these things wrong with the car, literally 12 things that needed urgent attention. I walked and took the car over to these guys at Midas and they said there are only 3 critical things needed attention, the others are maintenance issues and can be addressed later. I have used this place twice before and the service was has been great. It was recommended to by a good friend, and I in turn recommended this place to 2 of my friends and 2 employees, however, not any more! Last Saturday I had 2 shocks installed for $125: when I picked my car up the my paint on the drivers door was chipped. A local body shop estimated the repair to be ~$600. I spoke to the Manager, Paul & later in the week I spoke to the owner Mike, I was told by Paul that they refused to take responsibility, and have the damaged paint repaired . After another Midas not opening on time I drove over to this one trying to get my oil change, I was the only customer there. Manager came in and asked what I needed and said oil change. He said well that's going to take up to 2 hours all my stalls are full. I turned around immediately and left. Midas is not the place for oil change, they hand out these coupons like it's nothing but if and when you actually get to sit around for hours waiting on an oil change they will up sell and up sell and not take no for an answer. read more

Dropped by for an oil change and tire rotation. I specifically asked for a tire rotation and the invoice said a rotation was performed. The only problem is that my driver side front tire was marked and is still in the same position. Waste of my time to come here. I wonder if they even actually changed my oil or oil filter or just claimed to like they claimed to rotate my tires. read more

I use to go to this Midas for several years and always had a great experience, but not anymore. New ownership. I had my rotors and front brakes replaced. Two days later, they began to squeak at every stop. I took them back in. ..they said it'd be 20 mins before they could service it and yes, I had an appt. So, I said I'd go to the surrounding stores and verified they had my phonr number. After 1.5 hours, I called them, assuming they were working on it. They said the part they put on was defected and it was the manufacturer's fault. After another hour+ of waiting, I returned to the shop and there was my car, parked. The store mgr, Kevin, said he got busy and sorry I had to wait "15 mins" (very sarcastic) When asked what took so long to replaced pads, he said they didn't have them at the shop and had to have them delivered (Nissan Altima). I asked why they didn't let me know they had to order them, he.....wrote on a piece of paper the following: Good 1, Better 2, Best 3 and said...you got the best put on your car. Like I was illiterate. The owner was present the entire time (Syed). I said to the owner, you ordered out for the best, but didn't let me know as I waited, then you allow your employee to speak to me like he hss and then write...on a price of paper like I'm stupid. Syed, the owner, said he doesn't know about auto mechanics, so apparently he's at the mercy of Kevin, the disrespectful mgr. When I read the invoice, it did not state it was manufacturer's defect. When I asked Kevin to revise it, he said he was done with me (shady) and walk away, again, in front of the owner. The owner apologized for not calling, and asked me what he wanted me to write. I told him to write exactly what they stated..manufacturer's defect. It was sad to see the mgr having no authority. He was a nice man, but it appears bcuz he has no experience, Kevin was running the show. I asked for a free oil change, they're was no sticker placed on my windshield showing the change and they wrote that they replaced the oil filter, yet I had just had O'Reilly replaced it 2 days ago, doubt it was done. I went to this location after finding great coupon on Groupon for 4 wheel alignment and brake check up. The service was so amazing. Felt I had stepped back in time when businesses cared about me not their bottom line. No one tried to scare me into spending money on repairs I didn't need. Office was so pleasant to wait in, the entire crew was professional not only in service but appearance, super friendly, and fast. This weekend I came in for a tire repair and to discuss options for new exhaust on my vette. They recommended a flowmaster system. Although the install took much longer then expected they went out of their way to make it right and they did a great job with the install. Looks great and sounds even better! These guys are really great they talk to you about all your options and give you the best recommendation as well as find ways to save you money I have been going to them for 2 years now with both my cars and I'm really happy with their service. It does take couple of hours or more depending on what you need done for you have to take into consideration that they are working on cars so they should take their time and do a good job which is what they do. Been going to this Midas for years and the current owners Jonah and Mike are the best ones yet. They are straight shooters and are extremely competent and professional. They always tell me when I need something, when I don't; and cheaper alternatives to fix a problem. I always feel that I am getting the best service at a fair and reasonable price, and always have the confidence that the job will be done right. When I decide to wait I enjoy their comfortable living room chairs, great coffee and television. They also have a computer available for me to check my emails. I went for headlight bulb change to this location. Staff was courteous but they took for ever. Went into shop around noon, they said they will be done in 45 minutes max, ended up leaving the shop at 2.30. Another lady said she made an appointment at noon for oil change and she was pretty upset as well for same reason .All 3 out of 3 people in the lobby were not happy with the amount of time they were taking. I cannot tell how good or bad of their repair work because bulb changing could have been done anybody . read more

I originally took my son's Jeep to Midas on 83rd and Union Hills to have a cat back exhaust installed, but after being over charged and misquoted for the work they did plus terrible welds I took it back a 2nd time. Jose the Manager is clueless while the owner Mike attempted to make things right, but in the end couldn't. They gave me a minor $50 refund after I paid $400 for basically a muffler swap that any other shop would charge less than $200. After asking for the tail pipe I originally thought I was getting, they kinked the bends in the pipe attempting to make it right but gave up and sent me to Don at Mad Hatter. Don was wonderful and fixed the job Midas couldn't. I wish I had heard of Mad Hatter before. Don would have charged me 1/2 the price! Avoid Midas! Now after 3 appointments and $350 spent the Jeep is done. I won't be using Midas again for anything. They over price their parts and have poor workmanship. Live and learn. Thanks Don at Mad Hatter!!!
