The people were very polite and very helpful. I purchased a Groupon and I initially arrived at 1130 and they told me it was appointment only. I scheduled an appointment for 1130. So I had to take to another location. Just like every other oil change place they recommended things that needed done as well. The wait time was around average and they had a nice lobby with free water. The restrooms were clean as well. The main reason I chose this location was its location was close to my address. I also like to help smaller businesses. They seem to care more about people. Just my opinion not facts. The value was awesome I only paid $33 for a synthetic blend oil change. It was for my girlfriend's 2010 F150. We brought it home and on Wednesday it started to leak fluid underneath. We found out it was the oil pan gasket. We eventually got this service taken care of at a different location. They had told me it was leaking when they changed the oil. I was very appreciative of them for pointing this out to us. Booked an appointment the day before and drove through 5 o'clock traffic just to get to the shop for the guy to turn me away. Now the time it is all shops close in 30 min or less. Wish they would have called me to cancel before I drove across town in traffic hour. Edit: district manager emailed me on my personal email and harassed me. Beware of this nightmare service. The Midas on Perrin Beitel lost parts to my car, the manager lied about what was happening to my car in their shop, and when confronting the issue I was told the age-old "it was like that when you brought it in". The parts missing in my car would have been a huge liability for the Midas on Perrin Beitel shop as it could have caused major damage to myself, my passengers, and my car had I not fixed the issue myself after their inadequate service. Absolutely will not return. The time management here is horrendous. They tell you one time for it to be done only to constantly add on extra time. My car should've been done Thursday/Friday and here I am Saturday still waiting for my car. And when I ask for them to update all they say is 'oh it's ok we should be done in a few hours' and when I call after times passed its the same thing. This place helped me out tremendously. My back brakes were squeaking like a school bus. I had gone to a different place first and I knew they were trying to overcharge me, so I brought my car here instead. They helped match the price and even lower it. They even did their own diagnostic and told me I did not need one thing the other place suggested. DO NOT come here, my brother took his car in to get his brakes done got his car back and they've been worse than when he first took them in to get fixed. The second time he took the car in to get his tires done, got the car back and his rims were scratched. They were NOT scratched prior to bringing the car in, he's been back and forth with management for 3 weeks with no urgency to get back to my brother. My brother called corporate to complain about Midas and they claimed the manager had offered him $200 ,which NEVER happened. My brother continued to reach out to the District manager Matt after he ensured he would call my brother back numerous times with no contact what so ever. Matt texted him "have a nice night we are not covering your wheels goodnight" . That's how much they value their customers. Nothing but lies and ensuring that your car is more messed up leaving than when you brought it in to get fixed. They sure cover their asses though while making sure they won't take ANY responsibility /Liability for the damages they made. Great customer service pricks. read more

Eff this Midas. I'm a loyal customer to this chain and I'll never go back here. I have a credit card for repairs and I may not ever go to any Midas in San Antonio again after this experience. Let me explain why. I went in early in the week telling them about a low oil pressure warning, which is super annoying if you've ever had it happen. I'm told at that point that they can change my oil and check out the intake while it's up there to rule it out as the culprit cause it's usually the issue and isn't difficult to fix. I bring my vehicle in today for the oil change and they neglect to do the check, which I reminded them of when I gave them my keys. I'm told at that point that if the warning comes back on (an incessant beeping alarm) I should bring it back immediately and they'll check it out. So it comes back on. And I take it back in. They take a look at the alarm and have the nerve to tell me that I'll have to pay $110 just for them to hook the diagnostic machine up. What in the entire hell?! I asked you to do this while it was convenient and up in the air. You can't tell me how much the labor is even though you've already stated that it's a common problem and quoted the part price? I'm thinking you should at least be able to give me a rough estimate! Then on top of that, you add insult to injury and try to charge me a hundred more to take a second look WHEN YOU SHOULD'VE DONE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Eff these guys. If you're in the area, go to Meineke up the road past the Walmart on Nacogdoches. In less than five minutes, not only were they able to confirm they could look at my car WITHOUT CHARGING $110, but I was given a no BS estimate of the potential cost, inclusive of labor. I'll never go to this Midas in my life again. They're crap since Phil left. UPDATE: so Meineke lifted my car and told me very quickly that the intake is obviously in need of replacement. I quote "that thing is leaking oil all over the place!" Further evidence that the technicians at this Midas suck donkey balls! You JUST had my car in the air and you didn't see that?! The job I had done, which was a simple task, was completed in a manner so careless that my engine would have suffered. During that same visit, I was quoted for an absurd amount of money for a job that my car did not need. I managed to resolve my issues through another company. The new management is terrible. The lack of a constant authoritative presence hinders the progression of the store. This place has gone down hill and I will never return to this establishment. Appalling service from a bunch of scam artists and con men. Took my Chevy Impala 2003 in with a leaking radiator. Was told by the store manager that the intake manifold and thermostat were busted, despite the fact the hole was clearly in the radiator, and I pointed this out to them. After it became clear they weren't going to budge, we agreed to the work. They are after all mechanics, and I am not, and as such a small amount of customer / vendor trust has to be issued. Two days later we are called by their assistant manager, demanding $1300 more than we had already paid, because they had removed (without our permission,) the head gasket. In the process of doing this they sheared two of the gasket bolts and fractured the gasket seal. After much arguing with the store manager about this, we came to an agreement we would only pay for the cost of the parts. They also managed to flood the engine with coolant during this process. (Still now, due to the lack of pressure to the engine, I am convinced they simply poured coolant in there to make it appear flooded.) At this point I was out of town for a week. I fully expected my car to be ready for pick up the following Tuesday when I returned home. I called the shop at 10 am, and was told it would be a couple of hours. Biting my tongue, I reluctantly hung up, and called back at 3.30pm, to be told it would be ready before the end of the work day. At 5.30pm, and having still received no contact from the shop manager, I decided to pay them a visit (the shop is very local to my house). Imagine my surprise, when upon arriving at Midas at 5.45pm, I find my car still in the shop, still up on braces, and still half the engine missing. After a very heated debate with the shop manager, it was agreed we would pick the car up at 10am the next day, or we would take civil action for their incompetence. At 10am the next morning, I got to spend the most exciting two hours of my life sitting in the Midas waiting area, waiting for my car. At almost midday, they finally turned the car engine over. From my seat in the waiting area I could hear the engine knocking. Guess what! The head gasket and pieces they had been sent by the parts shop were faulty! By this time, I was so fed up, it was beyond getting angry with these clowns. They were told in absolute terms, my car was to be ready the next day. This had gone on far enough. It is at this point I decided to contact Midas Customer Services. (The investigation to this is still ongoing as I write this, and so far we have been treated relatively well by our contact.) The next day, by some miracle, (my car had been in their shop almost two weeks by now,) my car was ready to pick up. We went through, paid our dues, and collected our car. Not 45 mins later, we got home, to find the radiator... SURPRISE! Was still leaking coolant, and not just dripping, like it was when we took it in, it was POURING out of the bottom of the radiator. We called Midas, the mechanic came out, took one look, and declared, to my implicit infuriating non surprise (because I told them this was the issue when we first took the car in,) that the radiator had blown a hole. They promised to repair this the next day, for the cost of the parts only. My wife took the car in the following morning. Remember the con artist who tried to charge us $1300 for their mess up with the head gasket? Suddenly, according to him, the $130 estimated quote had suddenly turned into almost a further $600. After some 'discussion' with my wife, he finally called the parts shop, and she paid for the radiator direct, over the phone. The work was complete by that evening and so far, fingers crossed, the car has been okay. In total, we have spent: $1011 for the original (and I suspect unwarranted and unneeded,) replacement parts and work. $390 for the head gasket repairs (parts only). $114 for the radiator replacing (parts only). Had Midas' crew of brazen con-men and scam artists done as we asked to begin with, I wouldn't be wasting my time writing this now. but its imperative that others know about this robbing bunch of crooks. Keep away from them, take your business elsewhere. read more

I would've given zero stars if I could. Came in for an oil change, the next day my oil was burnt looking and smelling. They also checked off and signed that they services my wiper fluid, vacuumed, and wiped the exterior of my windows. None of which was done. Came back and they changed the oil (again) but still didn't vacuum or wash the windows. I had to remind them to top off the wiper fluid. In addition, they charged me the full price of the filter that was supposedly included because it was different, even though it was cheaper. NEVER GOING BACK! read more

I highly recommend avoiding this location. Took my car in for radiator replacement and after replaced my car was still overheating. They kept saying it was something else every time until finally I got fed up and quit taking it here. The last service I also had to force the mech/manager to give me the price he had quoted for all the trouble and after trying to double it and said he had no recollection of what he said.
