I came in today with no appointment, needing my brake light replaced. They saw me immediately and replaced my light with no hassle or complaints. THEFT!!! So after going back for the 2nd time cause the oil they put in my car wouldn't stop leaking on my garage floor(smh). It was determined the mechanic damaged the threads on my drain plug and they needed to "keep" my car overnight. I made the mistake of leaving my ATM card in the car and guess what happened? My bank called me the next morning cause there was some suspicious activity on my account. I spoke with the manager and of course no break ins to the shop were reported. Fast forward two days and $1100 in fraudulent bank activities, my car still leaks oil. Unless your in the business of throwing money down the drain to keep these crooks open, STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Great service!! The manager Robert came out and met me in the parking lot before I got into the service center. The products were all explained and we got a good deal. I received 5 star service from the crew. The place was clean and in order, I felt very comfortable while waiting. I noticed how thorough the crew was while servicing the car and putting a new set of tires on. Very detail oriented crew. I brought my 2016 Honda Accord in last week because I was having issues with my brakes. I wasn't sure why I would be having issues, since my car is very new still. I was already frustrated with my situation when I arrived. Of course, the cost wasn't what I wanted to spend either, but, what can you do? Maintaining a car is expensive. The young lady in the office, Crystal, must've seen my frustration because she managed to turn my mood around completely! Yes, I'm still spending the money, but she did everything should could to make me smile and ensure that I understood what I was getting and the warranty that would be alongside my work. Called Firestone first for a quote on SUV battery and then called MIDAS. Glad I called Midas! German answered the phone with an excellent customer service and my mind was made up afterward. The Store Manager Gregory Duncan, was rude and unfriendly. We went in to have our oil changed this morning. When we asked how much it would be to have the air conditioning checked as well, he said $69.99. My husband asked what the sign above his head pertained to that read, air conditioner check : starting at $19.99. He said "I don't know" and he didn't attempt find out. He was rude and short with me when I asked about the pricing of the oil change, because no where on the bill did it say $19.99.. Midas got new ownership and the guys are really good. I took my family car in for a oil change. I originally called around 3pm to see if they were still taking cars. The manager, Ray even towards the end of the day had a upbeat attitude and made it feel like it was the start of the day and I was his first customer. They did everything for my family within 2 hrs even though he was already busy when I walked in at 3:30pm. He let me know everything that was great with my vehicle and the only thing he recommended was some new tires. My car was in good shape. He actually showed me how low the tread was on my tires and started to talk some brands. These guys are all about customer service and recommend talking to Ray at the front. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. My husband and I have been dealing with these yahoos for the past couple of days. My husband went in last night to get a pricing estimate for some brake work and when we went back this morning to drop the car off for an inspection, the estimate went up by about $300! When we declined the work the owner/operator, Ron, was EXTREMELY rude to my husband and treated him like he was an idot saying, "Well, what did you think when you came in here??" He was practically yelling at him! For the record, my husband decided on Midas without my consent. I ALWAYS go to Family Auto Care in Vacaville. It's owned by a married couple who are actually polite and seem to care about their customers. The other people who wrote the reviews must be related to guys who work there. Stay AWAY! I received an awesome service here. The minute I parked my car this awesome employee met me halfway and introduced himself to me. I told him I was the one that called couple minutes prior to coming down.at first they couldn't find the reason why the symbol on my dashboard appeared. So Justin asked his employee to check it thoroughly. So they found out another problem it was the filters..dang filters was black yo the bone lol. So I told him to go ahead and change them even though they are 40 a piece, but Justin worked his magic and shopped around to get me the better price. Talking about awesome customer service, this employee went above and beyond to help me out. Then we see the symbol on the dashboard again so he asked his employee to take the tire to check if there's a hole so they did and found out that it did have a hole..he also mentioned that my tires are worn out and eventually need to replace them. First time at Midas. I ordered set of tires online and scheduled an appointment online as well. When i arrived looks like there was some mix up with my order and an employee but store manager and Eric found similar tires for me right away, delivered next day and price matched. There was a bit of a wait but end job was great. My car runs great and to top it off team at midas did an awesome job and i must say customer service was outstanding. I will refer family and friends. My family and I had our brakes and shocks inspected and they actually let me know some more vital information that we needed to know. Plus they did all this for free whereas Big O Tires right across the street tried to charge us almost $100 to do the same check. Under new management and i love it! these guys really helped me out on my truck after i managed to completey screw up my brakes by not putting parts back in and using wrong brake grease stuiped me that was a very expensive lesson as a result had to replace my calipers, rotors brakes and rear drums whoops and i knew i was going to be spending a chunk of change after the tow truck driver should me throw the rims what he could see and becides the fact my e brake went all the way to the floor but these guys gave me a deal to help me out and gave a loaner so i didnt miss work. owning a car is a expensive cost but choosing to due it yourself can be a greator cost if your not a mechanic. read more

NO STARS My AC compressor has been replaced 4 times within one year. Vacaville Midas broke at least 2 laws and lied to me several times. The Vacaville owner told consumer relations that he wanted my car to be checked out by a local AC specialist. I dropped my car off at the Vacaville Midas. When I was told me car was ready I asked the person at Midas where my cars was taken. I was told that she didn't know. She said it was picked up. I asked by whom. She didn't know. I asked for the paperwork. She said there wasn't any. She said the work was done for free as a favor to the owner. I called the Cal BAR. A representative met me at the Vacaville Midas. He asked for invoices. He was told there weren't any. My car was supposed to go to another place to get checked out. The BAR rep found out the work was done in house by the same technician who did the work three times before. That technician was not to touch my car. How do I know my AC is fixed correctly? One lie after another doesn't make for good business. Aaron's Automotive is the best shop in town. I have always used them. I had a discount for MIDAS. BIG MISTAKE. read more

I stoped by to get an oil change with a coupon I received in the mail. I gave it to the cashier before I gave up my keys, they defiantly did not fullfill the coupon by only changing my oil and nothing else. After I payed I got to my car and noticed my Windows were not cleaned floorboards were not vacuumed and they did not top off any fluids along with not performing the 17point inspection or rotating my tires. I went back in to ask the cashier why I only received a simple oil change and he said it was because they did not have the supplies to fullfill the coupon. The cashier definitely should read the coupon before starting the job and if they are not able to fulfill the coupon I should have been informed before paying and them taking my car! Today I was planning on getting an oil change and visit with my sister who works at Uhaul next door while the work was getting done.So I proceeded to park at the midas section and walk to the uhaul to get my sisters keys to get the expensive oil I prefer for my car out of her suv. Well before I got there I got yelled at about parking at midas and goin over to uhaul lol. Mind you this old man is yelling at a 8 month pregnant lady. I was so shocked at the fact that this business man yelled at me I decided to take my business elsewhere. It was really embarrassing to be screamed at by someone who wasnt working. Just went to get an oil change at Midas on Monte Vista in Vacaville around 2 in the afternoon. Drive up to an empty garage and 4 workers standing there eating lunch. Though I had an appt. they said it would be 45 minutes because they were busy. All 4 employees at lunch, at the same time. Way to go Midas. Won't be going back. I noticed that they usually won't tell you to go some place else or do it yourself, but that's understandable, they are running a business after all. BEWARE Took my car into them to have the Break pads and Rotors looked at because when I applied my breaks it would pulse. The guy informed me that I needed new breaks pads and rotors in the front and the rotors couldn't be turned because there wasn't enough left. Estimate was $300.00. Took my car in for a second opinion and my break pads were almost new and the rotors just needed to be turned. Maybe because I am a girl they thought they could pull a fast one on me. I had an idea it wasn't my break pads because I bought my Honda Pilot as a Certified used car and they insure you its safety inspections pass. When I was in the waiting room the guy was talking with another female customer about her tires. He was informing her that she needed new tires but she had a lot of tread left and she should be good for a while but it would be noisy. Not sure how you could need new tires but still have good tread left until she could buy her some. BEWARE read more

I went to Midas today to get an estimate on my brakes. After inspecting my car, the cost of my brakes (which were in pretty bad shape) was said to be around $1600 - being a college student, I saw the number and had a quiet panic attack lol. So I called Firestone, which is right next door to see if they would be able to give me an estimate of their own. After letting the Firestone mechanics check my vehicle, they gave me an estimate of $430 and told me that the majority of the work the Midas had recommended was not even necessary. In fact, the employees at Firestone couldnt even comprehend how Midas got to that original number of $1600. I feel like Midas tried to take advantage of me and I will not be going back, nor will I be recommending this place to friends or family. I am not happy with this experience what so ever. read more

I usually never write reviews but my experience with Midas has pushed me to do so. I usually go in for oil changes and small repairs for my Toyota. This time I went in they told me that my breaks were in bad shape and they need to be changed right away. My cab filter was missing even though they had changed it last and they did not put the new replacement in. They were not willing to replace it even though I was visited Midas like always. They gave me the cost of the breaks and wanted to do it right away. I held off on it because of the price, couple days later I went to another shop to have them look at it and they were confused on why I was there for breaks because my breaks had 65-75% life left on them. I also had another person look at them too and they said there is no squeaking to my breaks and they did not to be changed. In the long run I am not sure if its because I am a younger female that they felt they could rip me off!!! very sad that this still happens! read more

I have been a loyal customer of Midas for several years. So I was disappointed when I saw that they appeared to be closed a few months ago. I was happy to see they were in fact, reopening, and to receive a coupon in the mail for a $14.95 oil change. When I went in to use my coupon and get my oil changed, there was a sign hanging that said that the coupon was a misprint, and that it was supposed to be $10 off an oil change. I talked to the lady working in the office, and she explained that "cooperate had sent out the wrong coupon" and that an oil change on my car would be $40+. I asked why prices had increased so much and she rudely said "I have no idea what the prices used to be." I left without an oil change and will not be back. In my opinion, if you send out a coupon, you honor the price, even if it was a misprint. read more

My car is currently still on the lift. I left the cherry pit because I knew waiting 45 minutes when they looked busy was a bad idea with a toddler and here I am an hour later still waiting to pay and leave. BEWARE -- DANGEROUS POOR WORK AND LIARS!! DONT USE THIS SHOP Earlier this year I brought my daughter's Volvo here to replace brakes. When we picked up the car it was worse than when we dropped it off -- the car shook when we applied the brakes! Midas told us "I don't know what is wrong, you need to take it to the dealer." When we took the car to Volvo, they informed us it was NOT SAFE TO DRIVE and that the Midas installer broke a caliper pin when installing the brakes! Volvo charged me $300 to fix it and the brakes were still not right! I had to go back to Midas and they told me they would install Volvo factory brakes and would reimburse me the $300. A total of 5 days without our car. In then took me six months and 12 phone calls to Midas executive offices to get my $300 reimbursed. Yesterday we had the car at Volvo for maintenance work and they informed me the car had after-market, non-Volvo brakes. This franchise is poorly run, they lie, and they do poor work. can't say enough about this crew...everyone very friendly and knowledgeable!....i own a jaguar...nobody touches it but bacchus in dublin...i called them to see if it would be ok for me to take my car locally to have my brakes checked...my son suggested this midas...i told them what bacchus wanted to make sure they had to make repairs...they assured me they could abide......they took excellent care of me...i did not have to have anything done!!!...they checked more than i expected...did not cost me anything!!! did not try to cheat me (i would not have known)......very honest...very fair....and all the ladies in vacaville can feel comfortable taking their auto there....they will be the only ones i take my cars to....especially my jag! read more

Up to this point I was getting all my service done at the dealership. Now that my warranty has run out, I decided to go elsewhere. I had been meaning to get my car checked out. Whenever I braked on the freeway the steering wheel would vibrate violently. Then I started noticing that when I turned the wheel at low speeds, like in a parking lot, my car would make a funny sound. An upcoming road trip prompted me to finally get my car checked out at the last minute. I called and spoke to Ron, and explained how I needed this done as soon as possible. He told me to come on in and he would take care of it. I got there and the waiting area was very clean. Ron was there, he is the owner. He was really nice and explained they would take a look then let me know what they recommend. Their price is very reasonable, much lower than what I would have paid at the dealership. Ron was courteous, friendly, and honest. They did a great job too, completely fixed the problem and then some. My husband noticed during our road trip that the drive was much smoother. Midas does more than just brakes, they can do maintenance services also, and at great prices. Highly recommend this place! read more

i came with my car to midas vacaville and asked them to look under my car for oil leak. they said it is rear main seal and it will cost me 800$ to change it because they need to take transmission off and bla bla bla.... then i took my car to another mechanic he said leaking is coming out from oil pan gasket and it will cost me 120$ to fix it. do not go to that midas . they will rip you off with wrong diagnosis to make money on you. prices are super high. just to change 2 rear brake rotor on toyota corolla they asked for 500$. Another mechanic did it for 250$ including brake pads with mechanics own parts and i didn't buy anything. they will not allow you to buy your own part and give them to fix your car because they add rediculious amount $$$$. on part prices too. One time i needed to change thermostat and they gave me quota for just thermostat price without an installation $ 62. In Autozone or Napa or O'Reilly it is no more than 6$. Imagine how much they add on top of part prices. other mechanics allow to bring your own part that you can buy for much more cheaper prices. Also managment is very rude. Especially that shaved white men ( probably owner). No wonder why their store manegers and employees leaving that company so often. A few times i was there and every time I see a new store manager. I heard they have branch in Napa, CA too. If you changing oil there ( of course probably for highest possible price in town) make sure they changed it and put new oil filter which is not leaking. Go personelly inside shop and look if they put right new oil and oil filter into your car engine. They might charge you high price for cheaper oil.. Someone also mentioned about this oil change problem in previous review. In my car they did not change oil filter and put old filter back. I found out later that oil filter is leaking. According to them they do tire rotation for free when you change oil. I asked them to look at my tires if they need rotation. They said no i dont need it. I went to Big O Tires , then another tire stores to make sure i dont need to rotate my tire. And ques what? All of them said I need rotate tires. So even Midas in Vacaville say they do tire rotation for free if yoy change oil, most of time they will say you dont need it ( they need your top $$ for oil change and not for tire rotation). I did not wanted to write this review thinking that they will get better but unfortunately it is not happening. Therefore i decided to write review and give this information to people who wants to use Midas Vacaville service. Not RECOMMENDED FOR Doing Business with Midas Vacaville.
