    Since Kastner was bought out by Victory Auto Group they went from the greatest dealership ever to the worst. There are some good people still there, but the dealership has lost all it's good reputation. Victory needs to learn they can't pull the $10,000 dealer mark up in Napa...we don't play that game. Until they get rid of their sleazy tactics, go to Fairfield , Vallejo or any other Honda Dealership. Went in for an oil change and I saw a sign that they bought used cars, so I asked the salesman to give me a quote, he came back and said the car is super clean, model was in high demand and could sell it in a day. Then the GM Craig came in and started low balling and said it would cost him $5000 to get it in sellable condition (the car was perfect and low miles). Total bait and switch. Went to EchoPark in Concord and got $3000 more than Kastner offered.

    I've bought two cars from this dealership within the past two years and had great experiences each time. I've also brought my car here for maintenance and plan to continue to do so with my newest car. First car I bought was with Wayne in 2022. Appreciated the fact that he came in on his day off to deliver the keys to me when it was time for me to pick it up. Second purchase I had Cesar and Son helping me out. Great staff that took care of me to make sure I walked away happy with my purchase.

    They attempted a Bait & Switch. I went to the dealership on Memorial Day (5/26/25) to buy a 2026 Honda Passport listed on the web site, sticker price $54,355. You don't have to take my word for it, because I am including a picture of the long list of fees they added to the bill, bringing the purchase price of the car to $71,819.00. But they kept adding fee s after that (see the picture.). Without my trade in of $28k, they were asking me to pay a total bill of $57,770.35. My salesperson was very nice -- Isela Silva. The problem was her husband, Craig Silva, who is also the General Manager. When I told him that I was not paying him $71k for a car priced at $53k, he began arguing with me on topics ranging from the effect of bird droppings on a car's finish, and they (alleged) $3k he has to spend on prepping a trade in for sale. It was all very strange. It was all very petty. It was all very sleazy. As I was leaving, he shouted after me that he would give me $33k for my trade in. Oh, brother. Apparently, Kastner Honda was sold to Victory Automotive Group in August of 2022. Please Google them to get a taste of their legal history. This helped explain to me why I was treated the way I was. I understand why Craig Silva was adamant that I not take a copy of the paper with the comical list of added fees. I'm pretty sure the FTC will consider it "evidence" when I make my complaint to them.

    I came into Kastner Honda not knowing exactly which car I wanted. I just knew I wanted a Honda because it's not only reliable, but it also holds value if I were to ever want to trade it in. When I got to the dealership, Sam was there to greet me and answer all my questions. I told him all the needs I was looking for in a car, as well as all the wants. Sam showed me a few cars and I fell in love with my Accord Hybrid Sport L. The Hybrid was the way to go with my commuting and family trips. We sat down and crunched some numbers. Craig the general manager came by and assured me that I was getting a great price. After a few minutes thinking it over, I knew I couldn't pass this deal up! I highly recommend Sam if you're looking for a honest salesman who will help you find your perfect car!

    I cannot say enough about this dealership! After many weeks of online seraching and a very long and hot weekend of driving up and down the 680, we went north and pulled into Kaster Honda as the sun was setting. It was our last hope. I knew that I wanted a used SUV with lower mileage in my price range.  Jacob from sales greeted us and within minutes took us for a test drive in a small, used Honda SUV in my price range - it was exactly what I had been searching for. He told us a lot about the car and answered all of our questions. He didn't pressure us like other salespeople had that day at other dealerships. (True story, I actually faked using the restroom to run out the back door of another dealership earlier that afternoon - the man spotted me and chased me to the car.)   Anyway back to Kaster Honda and Jacob. Being that it was a used car, there were a few dents and scratches; they had just received it from another location that day. I was told that I could drop off the car the following week and they would take care of those and give me a loaner. My mind raced. I work/live in San Ramon and work in a very demanding events job, so the thought of dropping it off in Napa during the week was daunting, but I agreed, and told myself I would figure it out. The next week came, and Jacob tried to schedule an appointment. I couldn't get away from work. The next thing I know, he is dropping off a loaner (brand new Honda Accord) to my door in San Ramon.  He took my car and told me he would call me when it was ready. I couldn't believe it.  A few days later, I was preparing to drive to Napa after work to pick up my shiny SUV and then a text came. Jacob would be dropping off my car and take the loaner car away. I was exhausted from work, and that text was the equivelent of winning the lottery. He dropped off my gorgeous dent free car an hour later. I still feel like this may be some sort of dream, NOTHING is this easy. Nothing.  We should have started with this dealership instead of wasting so much time searching. Jacob in sales is truly exceptional, he had made this experience so stress free and he is such a nice person, please give him a raise. I am a customer for life. Thank you!

What immediately stood out about Vasser was the way our salesperson, Tyler Caruso, handled the process. We communicated mainly through text, and he gave us the information we needed without constantly calling or pushing us to come into the dealership. Several other dealers took the opposite approach. They filled voicemail with messages and texted nonstop, which we understand because their job is to sell cars. But their messages and texts were intentionally vague in response to our questions. Tyler was responsive when we had questions. But he let us move at our own pace. One thing that impressed us was that on a Friday evening, which we later learned was his day off, Tyler checked-in by text, and we ended-up putting together the framework for a deal. At no point did we feel pressured. Our purchase was a little more complicated because we planned to buy a number of accessories separately through Toyota Parts for a TRD off-road build. When Tyler learned what we were trying to do, he offered to help coordinate everything through Vasser, obtained an even better discount than the Toyota Parts promotional rate, and arranged installation at a reasonable cost. It made the process a lot easier than trying to manage it ourselves. The trade-in process was straightforward and fair. Once we finalized the numbers, we worked with Finance Manager Mariano Aguilar. He was organized, efficient, and easy to work with. The paperwork was explained clearly, and there were no surprises. While we were waiting in the lounge for the paperwork, we met another couple who'd driven from Fresno to buy their car from Vasser. They'd chosen Vasser for a lot of the same reasons. The conversation confirmed our impression that what we experienced was simply the way Vasser does business. Buying a car isn't usually an experience that people look forward to. But Vasser made the process easy. Tyler and Mariano are both professional, respectful, and good at what they do. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Vasser Toyota to friends and family.

To be clear, the Service department has been excellent -- professional, reliable, and willing to step in when Sales fell short. Special thanks to Maui Oregon in Service, who worked hard to make up for Carlos's lack of follow-through. On December 27, 2024, I purchased a Jeep Renegade from Carlos. The car had several issues that were written into the contract to be repaired. Because it was dark at the time of purchase, we couldn't fully inspect the vehicle. Later, additional problems surfaced, which Carlos also promised to address. Unfortunately, he stopped responding to me altogether. It wasn't until I posted a negative review on Google/Yelp four months later -- which Corporate noticed -- that he finally reached out. The delays were extreme. It took until April for repairs to begin, and our vehicle was out of service for more than a month. While a loaner car was provided, this did not excuse the lack of communication and accountability. To make matters worse, I later learned from Service that if the vehicle had been left with them at the time of purchase, the parts would likely have arrived within a week, not four months. You'd think Sales would be aware of that, but nope. By mid-May, most of the issues were resolved, but a dent and interior discoloration were left unaddressed. Service informed me that Carlos never passed along these items, despite assuring me he would. When I followed up, he ignored emails, responded once by text on June 3 promising to "look into it," and has ignored all communication since. See screenshot. I paid for a brand-new vehicle and was promised that all flaws would be fixed. That promise was not honored. Instead, I was met with months of silence, broken commitments, and an overall lack of professionalism from Sales. Now I will have to pay for the remaining repairs out of pocket somewhere else. If you are considering Hanlees, my advice is simple: buy elsewhere. The Service team may try to help, but the Sales experience with Carlos Barrera was a disaster. Do not put yourself through the same ordeal.

After being told her truck had a blown engine by another dealer, Napa Nissan service tech found that to be false and fixed it without needing an engine. In fact after scanning the computer, it was just a coil and a vaccum hose. They take care of women customers and don't take advantage of them. I love that. I will take all 3 of my Nissans here for service. My daughter is so happy now. She loves her truck.

We researched the model car we had our eye on, including known issues for the year and KBB value. The one on this lot was priced high, but we rationalized that it was due to low miles for the year. Just in case, though, we took it to the Toyota dealer to have it inspected. As we were literally pulling away from the lot after having just purchased it, the check engine light came on. Not a great feeling when you just dropped $11k for a 13 year old vehicle. In retrospect, the light was probably in during the test drive too, but I didn't notice that because I was focused on so many other things. You sort of just assume warning lights won't be flashing when you're buying a car. Once home, had the car checked out by our trusted mechanic only to discover that the steering column was broken (!). We had them fix it to the tune of $800. I returned to M&J and explained the situation and got the "too bad so sad" response from them. They refused to even split the cost with me and further accused me of breaking it and that the car was perfect when they had it. First of all, how does one break a steering column driving on flat roads within a mile radius of the lot? I have never in my life broken the steering column in a car. I'm not even sure what stress the car (which is equipped with 4WD btw) would need to go through to make that happen. Second, to the point that we had the car independently inspected, apparently they don't include checking random things that usually don't randomly break in their 54 point inspections. They also do not check for warning lights apparently. All of this could have been right by the dealership to split the cost with me, which they refused to do. It left me feeling ripped off. Slimy business owners need to be called out so thank god for Yelp. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this business, unless you are a mechanic and know what you're buying into. Otherwise you may get left holding the bag for some expensive repairs like I was.
