I am horribly disappointed with the service I received there today. I called two days ago to set up the appointment. The manager told me it would take an hour to do a 30,000 mile tuneup. Four hours later the car still was not finished. Two hours into the servicing i called and Sam said he was waiting to hear back from the fleet company as the car needed new tires. At that time I called the fleet company, and got through immediately. I called them and they said the paperwork wasn't filled out correctly on line, adjusted and sent it back immediately. I then called Sam back and he looked at his system and saw it was accepted, having never called them himself. Previously to my calling the fleet company i had asked Sam to call. In addition when i brought the car in i showed them the fleet on line app but Sam told me he didn't even know it was a fleet car? Sam then told me to come back at 3:15 but the car was still not ready until 345. Sam then tried to fault my fleet company for the delay. Ah Midas. You may ask why I came here. I'll tell you why, they gave me a coupon for a $24.99 oil change, tire rotation, and a courtesy check (visual brake check, battery, air filter, fluids, belts & hoses). I called them up, set up an appointment, and drove over on a Sunday morning. By the time I parked and I was getting out of my car a young man was by my car with an umbrella (it was raining) and was trying to help me get in without getting wet. Since I had a raincoat on I just ran inside. Everyone was very friendly from explaining the service they were doing, to printing and giving me a copy of the recommended service for my car at the next mileage (110 & 120k), to showing me some things that I should take care of soon, but not trying to hard sell or pressure me. The reason I'm giving them five stars is they did some extra work for me without charge. I had some cabin air filters that I was planning on putting in, but they put them in for me anyway since they were in the car and they replaced my dead headlight (I had a bulb with me too). read more

Just filled up for gas and checked out the engine since I got an oil change recently. SpeeDee oil left the air filter on the top of my engine! Which means I just drove over a week with the air filter not filtering any air for 100 miles. Good job guys, thanks. What's the point of having posted hours if you're not here on time? People rely on businesses to be held accountable to punctuality. Shame: I got to the shop at 7:20, was the first one there expecting to get helped quick for a dead battery and needed an oil change. Took this pic at 7:55, there were two other people waiting to be helped behind me. Still nobody. Then 8:05 rolls around.... still nobody. Called the shop on Monument in concord who was able to take me in right away and had excellent customer service. Called this shop to complain and ask what their hours were, to find out that they only have ONE service tech opens at 7:30. How can you service MULTIPLE people and open a shop with only one employee? Both times I showed up at 7:30am shop was closed for my appointment. People came closer to 8am, so a good waste of my time. First time they fixed my flat tire, second time they said they wouldn't touch it because "its unsafe". Another good waste of time as I went to another shop and they fixed no issues. If you have a regular job to do. They can do it like anybody else. But if you need a good mechanic to fix a difficult problem consider elsewhere as they charge almost $200 to use the scanner and even using the scanner the mechanics are not good enough to fix your car. I had this bad experience with them, I left my car on tuesday and they called on thursday saying they couldn't find the car part and I needed to take it to the dealership. $200 and nothing done in 2 days. read more

I recently went back to Midas in Walnut Creek for additional repairs. This time I needed an anti-freeze tube replaced. They could have stiffed me for a new radiator. But they were honest, which I've found a rarity among auto repair shops. I have lived in the area and practiced law for over 40 years. I was so pleased with their obvious honesty and lack of pressure that I also bought a set of tires as long as my car was in the shop. I have a 2000 Volvo that I am trying to make last into my 80's. They could have lied to me about the prospective results from oil leak trouble shooting and caused me to spend $1,000's of dollars, but they didn't. In my experience most of their competitors would have sent me on an expensive wild goose chase. I went to them for exhaust services last year, but am pleasantly surprised at the full extent of their available services. I put trust and honesty first in auto repairs, ahead of skill and deceit. So honest and truthful. I was told from a different company that I needed 2 new tires because I had to buy in a set. Then they said I had 2 nails in my tires that weren't repairable and it was going to cost me 1k just for the tires not even the labor and tax. I came to Midas and got the truth about what was going on with my tires. And that if I did have to get a new tire that I don't have to buy in a set that I was absolutely able to buy just 1 tire. Did a great job! Nice people too. Helped me to get quality tires on my car that work best for my needs. I needed the ability to trailer safely. Helped me to come up with a plan to get the tires in a cost effective timelines. They suggested I replace the worst ones first (they move the remaining 2 bad tires to a safer position on the vehicle) and then I came back when I got my next paycheck for the other 2. My 2017 Out back needed new break pads and oil exchange,I went to this place a month ago.They put new breaks and rotors when I only need the pads ( of course they can charge more ) The car start with funny noise that it never had before until now I do not know what it is but the noise is getting worse .I called and asked about it but the owner give just excuses that it did not make any sence My oil light came out a coulple of times and I went back 1 week after the service was done and they told me that the oil was half empty,is kind of weird because the car did not have any leaks .They did not even put a new tag with when the it will need another Oil exchange. I also compared the cost in other Midas location and the price it was at least 30 to 40 % less ,I also asked the owner about this and he say that each location put they own prices . read more

These guys are GREAT. I was ready to leave for my trip when I saw I had to replace my rear tire. I called Sam and he told me they had a tire in stock and to bring to over. I did and they replaced it right away. An hour later I run into a curve and tear up a front tire. I had to be towed back to these guys who supplied and installed a second tire. Rod at this location was absolutely fantastic. I had my work vehicles battery die and I didn't get a jump till 5:40. I called and spoke with Rod and he made sure him and his crew would be there to take care of me. I didn't get there till 5 minutes before closing and they were able to get me set up with a new battery and install it. They stayed till 6:20 which was after closing and did it with grace. I took a appointment with these guys to get the oil change and i went to this place next day with my oil change coupon. Showed coupon to this white guy "Manager" in front desk and he told me that he cant take this coupon because my ford escape takes only synthetic oil. FYI dumb ass (Manager)... ford recommends 5w-30 or 5w-20. Nowhere it says that you need synthetic oil. After explaining him many times that i need 5w-30 he was not willing to do it just because i showed him coupon and he wanted me to charge premium oil price. So, MIDAS / SPEEDEE clients - BEWARE! I think this place is shady and quality of service questionable. Stay away from the shop. The manager is a jerk !! read more

I came here after a dissatisfied service at the Concord Midas. Concord Midas didn't flush my brake calipers and rip me off $70 and they tried to upsale me for power-steering. Anyway, I came to this Midas with my cousin to see their process on flushing brakes. We spoke to a good man by the name of "Rod" and he was concern and he personally resolved my issue. He told us to come back in 1 hour and when we did, we saw one of the workers test drive to feel the improvement of the brakes. Rod told us that the Concord Midas didn't flush my brakes at all! I was not shocked to hear that based on my experience over there. I'm glad we came here because they were very helpful and got my car service like how I expected. Got my fleet 2017 Ford Transit Connect oil change 2 weeks ago, and tire pressure warning light came on today. Brought it back because checking the tire pressure was part of the service. They responded quickly and told me all was well, that the spare tire was low. Drove car several miles and code did not clear. Checked the tires when I got home with my own gauge, had 38 lbs all the way around. Door jam says 44 in front and 48 in back....I pumped them up using my hand pump and a fair amount of sweat. Did Midas even bother to look at recommended pressure? I doubt it. If they can't get tire pressure correct I have no confidence in this shop's ability to do anything else right... read more

This is a so so place. I don't agree with things that they say "you need to fix". I simply came for an oil change the sign outside says $49.99 but now for my car it's $79.99. (What can I do) After waiting for over an hour- they came back to me saying that I needed a new battery, spark plugs and tires... (Mind you I just bought tires less than a year ago-) I don't know if everything that they say is true. I have a fairly new car that I take to total care of. And to have all this done to my car they told be it would be like $882. They are crazy. I ended up only getting my oil change. The prices that they offer are crazy high. read more
