I neglected my 1994 883 because I bought a Softail Slim a few years ago, has been sitting for a couple of years. After installing new battery, new plugs and draining the gas tank, it would not start. I suspected the carburetor needed to be rebuilt. I called Harley of Sacramento and I was told they don't work on bikes older than 10 years old, they recommended Midcal. Midcal gave me estimate over the phone for a carb rebuild, very good price. They fixed in a matter of days. They showed me the clogged jets. Great customer service. Bike ran like a champ, in love with this bike again. This will be my go-to bike shop, have your bike fixed there.

Great experience! Saved me money from what A&S wanted. The work: install two new tires for my BMW S1000. They were fast, good and thorough. This place has heart and are working on all their certifications. What i really loved was the heartfelt story the owner told me about how he is recruiting and training new mechanics and investing in their education/certifications . This is the kind if place I truly love supporting! Watch out A&S you have competition in west sacramento!

I brought my bike to them to install heated hand grips, and what should have been a simple and easy installation turned into an ordeal because of previous unrelated work done by another shop. Bruce and Joe had to call to get new wiring harnesses, rewire the harness through the handlebars, and clean up some sloppy wiring. In the end, they were able to get the job done RIGHT and PROPERLY. They also installed a new adjustable clutch lever and were kind enough to clean my chrome pipes with some steel wool where my pants got burnt on them. I would highly recommend them if you own a Harley.

Midcal installed new Pirelli Angel GTs I provided on my 1996 BMW R850R

Last week, I called several shops for advice on a new set of tires for my 1996 BMW R850R. No shop had a matching set of tires on hand, but the guy who answered the phone at Midcal checked his inventory twice and spent some time on the computer to see if he could order what I needed. When he came up empty, he suggested buying the tires online and having the shop install them. I had already done some research and asked for his opinion on the Pirelli Angel GTs I was favoring. We talked pros and cons on tires I was buying from someone else! I scheduled an appointment and brought my tires in. During a ride the previous week, a friend mentioned my rear brake pads looked like they needed replacing. So I asked Midcal to check it out and replace if needed. Later that day, my bike is ready and I'm told my brake pads are practically brand new. They could have just said it needed to be done. Great service, integrity, and I even got advice on breaking in my new tires. Super happy with the experience. Thanks Midcal!

I love this place. I own four custom bikes and they are all taken care of by Midcal. Bruce, Lewis, and everyone else are friendly, master technicians, and most importantly honest. I would never take my bikes anywhere else. My experience with motorcycle repair is that if you take your bike to the dealership they will find something wrong with it. If you take it to Midcal they will tell you the truth and fix it. You will pay at least half of what you would at the dealership.

Bought a new to me motorcycle that has been sitting for 2+ years. Brought her in so these guys can take a look. Found out that my breaks are bad because dude used a different oil and the lines and cylinder are filled with gunk. They provided pics and even showed me the old parts. Thankful for these guys for no bullshit. They told me what I needed and how to fix it. Fix it they did. For being a business they told me that if it ain't broke don't fix it. That's really all I need to say. Any future maintenance or mods I will definitely be back. Thanks midcal.

These guys a great! I thought I knew what the issue was with my bike, but I was totally wrong. It turned out it really wasn't worth fixing because of what it would cost. so they ended up just buying the bike off of me, which saved me a huge hassle. I forgot what the guys name is, but he made sure I knew what was going on with the bike, took me back in the shop to look at it while it was all apart and really educated me on the issue.

Took my road glide in to be FIXED for the 2nd and 4th gears were slipping. They charged $270 for diagnostic, $589 for clutch kit, $67 to tighten 2 riser bolts, $67 to put on a $3 bracket, overfilled my oil, put a hole in my exaust, put a used filter on my bike, kept my bike for 4 weeks, and had the gall to charge me $1000. They called saying my bike was ready, stating it was test driven, I started my bike after paying, didn't even make it out the driveway, only had 1 operational gear, my bike was smoking and knocking as if they intentionally ran it hot. They intentionally over filled my bike with oil, in which overfilling it makes it smoke. They put a hole in my exaust, for whatever reasons, not to mention my saddle bags were loose. Paint was chipped up, cracked and used air filter and cover, but were charged $272 for new filter and cover. First off any shop that does any diagnosis would know what to exactly what to fix. Second these people really don't want to see US on Harley Davidson bikes. Third they're all liers. Yes I did get a full refund that same day, but my bike absolutely came in this shop better than it left. Had to get my bike towed from that place... My advice, if you're an African American be prepared to be overcharged, crappy work, and lied to. DO NOT GO TO MID CAL MOTORCYCLE. You'll be sorry!

He was very concerned because Harley dealerships don't maintain parts and resist working on a bike this old.

There was absolutely no pressure or upselling, just straight-up documentation of what looked good, and what needed help. I came back the next day and got valve covers and timing belt replaced. Word to the wise: There's a waiting area and restaurants nearby, but the shop is so busy if you are in a hurry you don't wait for them to call. I dropped off my car at 8:30, but there was already two other folks in the shop's dual bays. They said it might take half an hour to take care of the other clients and then 2.5 - 3 hours to take care of business. I waited at the Starbucks across the way and showed up a little after 12... and the car was ready to go! I could've shown up earlier but Dom hadn't had a chance to call me. I appreciate Green Rider's speed, efficiency, clarity, and fair pricing. Thank you!!

They spotted a number of issues with my car during my visit. They were really good about taking pictures of the problems and explaining things, so I trust them. I noticed the difference in the way my car drove right away. The steering was pulling to the side before but they straightened it out. I'll definitely go back.

I just come here for my tires because they cover flats, repairs, replacements and I have a lifetime wheel alignment that has paid for itself 10 times over. I was considering America's Tire just across the way but would you believe they do NOT do wheel alignment? Crazy. I needed 4 new tires today and added a radiator flush because I was here. I dropped off at 8 telling them I needed it by 430 because that's when my ride gets off work and they said no problem, we'll call you when its ready! 4:35 and no call and my ride is leaving. I call and they say its ready. Hmph. So come here with caution. They can do good work but quality care is not consistent for Firestone. You are paying for convenience. I think they have a high turn as none of the people I saw today was familiar at all. Watch, look and listen to what they promise or charge.

I had been using them for…read moreoil changes and had always been happy with that service, so I trusted them with this repair. They diagnosed the source of the oil leak, and because I have an extended warranty, I went through the warranty process and authorized the repair. Their labor rates exceeded what my warranty would cover, so I paid the difference out of pocket. Unfortunately, this is where my experience went downhill. After the repair, my car continued leaking oil for more than a year. I brought it back multiple times, and each visit resulted in another attempt to fix the problem, usually by adding more gaskets. It became clear that they were taking shortcuts rather than properly diagnosing and repairing the issue. At one point, I discovered they had even stuffed rags around the oil pan. After several unsuccessful repair attempts, Auto Stop finally admitted they could not fix the problem. To make matters worse, during the course of their repeated repair attempts, they damaged the upper oil pan. Their only recommendation at that point was to take the vehicle to the dealership. That's exactly what I had to do. The dealership corrected the original oil leak and repaired the additional damage caused during Auto Stop's failed repair attempts, leaving me to pay for work that could have been avoided. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Auto Stop. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into more than a year of frustration, repeated trips back to the shop, additional damage to my vehicle, and significant extra expense.
