The service is pretty smooth . There's always a line waiting which says something about the quality and placement but the guys are efficient and work well together . The downside is that it's possible to get meat that was cooked before you ordered it which obviously what happened with my order because the meat was dry and tasted like dirt . No ambiance here , it's a standard NYC street vendor. If you're going try these guys be sure to ask how long the meat has been sitting.

I do think this is one of the best halal food trucks in NYC. But I guess it's the best since I can't name another best at this time? My go to is always mixed (lamb + chicken) over spicy rice with white sauce and hot sauce (no bbq sauce for me) it's always consistently delicious without disappointment. Nice portion and they don't skim on the meats. One unfortunate thing is that because of our current world situation they had raise their prices, but that is the same every where at this time... it's $10 for mixed over rice ($9 for just chicken or lamb)

I have been a fan of this cart forever. One of my closest friends wanted to meet up for coffee to catch up. After meeting her, I passed by this cart. I couldn't resist picking up a lamb with rice. At $7, it included a lot of meat, yellow rice and salad. My travel time from there to home was 1/2 hour. It was still warm when I ate it. I can't recommend this place enough. It's filling and delicious. In my opinion, it is better the Halal guys in Midtown Manhattan.

I don't live around bay ridge so I waited sooo long to finally try this place and honestly was quite disappointed. The food was definitely fresh and hot, however the flavor profile was not there for an $11 platter. Its pretty comparable to the halal guys, but the lamb is in tiny pieces that have no lamb flavor. The sign says price increase on june 26, but hes already demanding the new price 3 weeks early.

This is really-really good Halal. They do something different with their salad - they toss in stuff you won't find at other spots. During my most recent visit, the chicken and lamb was overcooked and I don't put much white sauce, but I still have to give this a 5/5. They're really good for this side of Brooklyn and if you pay for extra protein portions, they will hook you up.

Quality has severely declined. Seems like they got gassed from all these 5star reviews that they don't care anymore. Stopped for 4 platters last night - dude wasn't paying attention and fucked up the sauces on all the platters. * meat was tasteless and had no flavor * barely any meat in the platters * pita wasn't toasted Really disappointing. Woke up this morning to severe stomach cramping and literal pain. Not sure if I'll return bcuz the new guys working the cart are assholes and the food doesn't taste good - IT HAS NO TASTE. #sad #tragic #rip

White, BBQ, and Hot Sauce on a Combo over Rice

One of the best Halal carts in Brooklyn. Conveniently open until 5am. It is the perfect after hours destination for a rice box. Slap on some pita bread for only a dollar. This cart never disappoints. Quality has been consistent for a long time. Price per order has jumped from $6 to $7 after 9/1/2019. Worth every penny.

One of the best Halal carts I've ever been to! I can't say that this is the best Halal cart in Brooklyn since I haven't been to many in the borough, but I have been to many in the city and they are definitely up there in terms of quality and one of my favorites! The cart is open during late hours, as well as day hours. There is never really a long line here, but it can take 6-8 minutes to leave with your order because they tend to take their time making each order. Most of the platters (chicken, lamb, combination) are $6. The typical carb added to the platters is yellow rice, but this cart ALSO offers spicy rice, which I've only seen at one other cart in all of NYC! I usually get the combination (chicken + lamb) over spicy rice with white sauce and hot sauce. The meats they put in the platter are very fresh and the serving sizes are just right, not too little and not too much. I tend to have a big appetite and if this fills me up then the chances are that it'll fill anyone up! There is one small complaint that I can nitpick about and that is they don't add enough tomatoes to each order (by default). I've seen them prepare the boxes and they usually grab about 4-6 little pieces of tomatoes only. The good thing though is that you can always request for them to add extra, which I've seen them do, but I'd prefer them to make sure there's a good balance of ingredients in each order without me asking for extra anything. Despite this small hiccup, the platters are one of the best I've still ever tasted and I'll continue coming here for as long as they are in the area!

Aw yeah Halal Cart. Best cart in the city. Cheap, quick, awesome. Seems they changed out their hot sauce...it's way way more spicier. I ask for very light hot sauce these days. I've had the lamb, chicken, and falafel over rice. All pretty good, though the falafel has a longer wait time. read more

We came here upon a suggestion from my friends classmate and the reviews say to stay away from the other Halal Cart just down the street...so we did! The gyro and falafal were both quite delicious and at a great price. The "White sauce" was probably something like mayonnaise? I love tazaki sauce, so that was a disablement. But, other than that hot fresh sandwiches for cheap, good deal...oh it does take a while to make them, so don't expect a quick meal here! read more

In our small Bay Ridge corner of the world, there is no lack of middle eastern or mediterranean restaurants. But, when you are in a hurry, don't want to cook, just burned through your paycheck at TJ Maxx or Century, or heck, just plain feel like it...this chicken and rice cart is clutch. Not talking about the plethora of carts in the city, this rating is based on whats offered in the area. It's cheap, the meat moist and flavorful, a choice btwn yellow and spicy rice, white, hot, and bbq sauces... warning the hot sauce is HOTTT...and face it, the aroma grabs you by the nostrils and drags you over...give in to it...There are 2 carts in this area, make sure u come to this one. I love the chicken and rice but my fav is the lamb over rice.. or better yet, when im craving my San Diego carne asada fries, I ask if the can make mine lamb over FRIES with white and hot sauce....yaaa buddy! When they are making the falafel fresh, grab some cause they are grrreat! If they are refrying pre-made ones at the time u go... erm, try the lamb instead. **Recently there has been a movement by local business owners to push this cart out, support them by eating there and sign their petition!! ur tummy and wallet will thank ya! read more

Best halal middle eastern street meat I've had in NYC. Better than Halal Bros which I was not impressed with and any other places I've tried in the city! I alternate between the chicken over rice and the combo over rice; both are amazing! The combo over rice can be a little salty though. If you like sauce get Extra white sauce but be careful with the hit sauce as it is EXTRA HOT. read more

Stopped by here the other night at 11PM and just like the reviews said, there was a line. The guys can be slow, but worth the wait. Got the combo over rice and it was delicious. I preferred the lamb over the chicken and the hot sauce is bomb. Make sure you go to the cart next to Citibank, and not the imitators across the street. read more

Located pretty close to my house so I actually come by for food often. It was always a great alternative to the carts I love in the city but.. the recent price increase is a little annoying, as well as the additional costs for bread, that most carts in the city don't tack on. Overall the food is good however, a little salty, sometimes the rice can be dry, but mixing it all up with hot and white sauce is great. They are also open around the clock and in all weather making it super convenient.. read more

Working in Manhattan I have tried quite a few halal carts. I would say, hands down, this is the BEST halal cart food I have ever tasted. Chicken over rice and Lamb over rice are both excellent. (although lamb was little salty.) Falafel over salad was, well, as chef Ramsey would say, f*#*ing amazing. if you are a foodie, this halal cart is a must try. PS. as others have said, this one is on the north side of 86th street. so between 86th and 87th on 5th Ave. not to be confused with the other one on the south side. read more

Drunk or not, this food is good anytime. Definitely tastes better after a few drinks though. There's two carts: one in front of chase and one in front of citibank. They're both the same thing and I bet if you had a blind taste, you wouldn't know the difference. Try the long meaty ones that look like fried hollowed out hotdogs, spicy and tasty. read more

Best halal in Brooklyn!! These guys are not cheap with the meat or sauce! I used to love taking trips to the halal guys in the city, but this halal cart won my heart over. The guys that work there keep you laughing while you wait for your food and if you see a line, no worries, you wont ever wait more than 5-6 minutes. Def give their green sauce a try. I mean...it's definitely above average chicken & rice. The white sauce is much creamier, the hot sauce isn't too spicy, and the rice is soft & greasy. The lamb was especially tasty and the chicken was allright. I think what makes this place good is the amount of grease on the bottom of the pan. Better than most halal stands...and I didn't get the friendly vibe from the workers either. read more

Probably one of the BEST HALAL KARTS you could encounter in the five boroughs. The cooked onions and green peppers in the chicken really makes it. I always get a combo platter with extra lamb and extra chicken with bread......NO RICE. Meat and bread with red and white sauce is all I need. read more

This halal cart has some of the best middle eastern cart food I've ever eaten. Not to be confused with the joke of a cart across the street (outside chase bank) which has terrible food; this little food truck has a chicken with spicy rice and white sauce that will knock your socks off. Also, the falafel is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and is never dry or overcooked. Everything they serve at this cart will blow you away. I highly recommend it. read more

We walked by this place today after a quick trip to Century 21, located in the middle of the adjacent block. This is the one next to the Citibank and not the Chase. Ordered the mix plate, which came with yellow rice and a bit of salad for $5 total. Standard white and hot sauce, as much as requested, was added. This particular cart is closest in taste to the version at 53rd and 6th in Manhattan, which needless to say, is probably the best CnR cart in New York City. 4 stars will eat again. read more

These guys do make some of the best halal food, especially since well It's one of those cheap and tasty eat that will satisfy your stomach when your craving for halal food hits. I use to go to school around there and usually buy it cause it's cheap and tasty . The guys are usually very nice and you can strike up a conversation with them and just relax. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the MIX over spicy rice with white sauce and BBQ sauce because you get a bit of everything. read more

It was so creamy, cheesy, and satisfying. Even the Hometown Slaw was just right. Not too creamy, not too vinegary, and gave us a fresh bite to cut through all the savory meat. The worker was nice enough to give me some pickled onions which I absolutely love with my BBQ. I wish they had some more local beer options but the Stiegl Goldbrau Lager Pint was great to sip on as someone who likes light & refreshing beers. Despite the atrocious wait time, I'm really glad I got to try it!

The West Coast oysters were Kumamoto (California), while the East Coast selection were called Bad Boys (from Nova Scotia, Canada). Normally I'm a big fan of West coast oysters, but the Bad Boys were delicious! They were plump with a bold ocean brine & crisp finish. My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.

I really like the food. The chicken and lamb which is what I usually get always has a good amount of flavor in comparison to some of the other halal places that I have visited in the past. They have a bunch of other offerings like falfal, hot dogs, and burgers. I cant say that I have tried anything then the signature combo though so you can take my review about those like a grain of salt. It actually is pretty conviently placed a cart because there are 2 benches about 3 feet away from the cart. Not sure a lot of people sit there to eat, but im sure that is just something good to keep in mind. The food has a lot of good flavors, I really enjoy the tenderness of the chicken and lamb compared to a lot of other carts that I have had in the past. Other places I have found tend to put out very dry food that is not very impressive to me. The rice is also very good, they have two types yellow curry, and spicy rice. It's really worth it to try ,I actually try it after I read all the good reviews about this cart , I came on Saturday night and it was soo busy and I waited on the line 16 minutes which is actually not long for how busy was it and honestly it was really worth it after I order chicken over rice with white and hot sauce the chicken was really tasty the sauce amazing and also the guy who did my plate was really nice he told me do you like flafel I said yes I do he put me 2 falafel in my plate and he said try our falafel and the falafel was really soooo good I love it, definitely I'm coming back it was really a good experience about this halal food cart and even if I waited for long than 16 minutes it's really worth it for the delicious food and the nice customer service read more

The best in bay ridge period!!!!!! I don't like cart that much because it's hard to find really good cart food. But these guys pulled it off. Excellent food with a great price. I got the the chicken the sandwich. It was juicy and flavorful, I had asked for extra hot sauce and white and the guy hooked up with out making a fuss. I also bought some falafel and damn it was like a party in my mouth. Unlike some other people the falafel I bought from them actually tasted like real falafel. On my drunken stumbles home this is a wonderful sight. Almost always there except in severe weather. I've never had a problem with anything I've eaten there. Right across the street from where I work (upper westside) is a halal cart as well, but the food isn't as delicious and the preparers aren't as hygenic looking. They're polite even when dealing with out of control drunks in the area. Good prices, especially when I used up all my $ getting wasted. read more

i know i shouldn't review a place that I've never eaten from, but just one question, where do they go to the bathroom and why don't they wear gloves. These guys are awesome. My friends and I go to them at least once a week. I usually get the combo with yellow rice. I love the rice, it's perfectly cooked and doesn't feel like it has a lot of oil. Usually get a horrible feeling after eating at some of the other carts because they use so much oil, not this place though. A must try! read more

One of the best Halal Gyro's in NYC! Their gyro is always fresh and tastes really good compared to many others who just don't compare with these guys. The lines can get long sometime but its worth it. I always get mix lamp and chicken over spicy rice and the best thing is you get free pita bread over it if you ask. read more
