I saw about this place online back in January and it was listed as the best reuben in Idaho. I live in Edmonds Wa. and knew I had to try it. I have been on the lookout for a great reuben for over four years and have tried many places in Seattle, Edmonds up past Everett. This is the Holy Grail! The sandwich was huge and tasted as good as I have ever found. This place is nirvanna for me. The cost of the sandwich would be around 18 dollars in the Seattle area but only $9.50 here. Looks like a drive up coffee spot. What you get is a super friendly service and the most massive sandwich I have ever had from a deli. Totally fresh and all homemade. The sandwich is as good as big. I had a whole turkey and provolone on rye with mustard and horseradish. The bread was soft and not too thick, ate easily (and yum). The horseradish was quite spicy. Lots of turkey. We had an amazing Reuben with a ton of corned beef on it that they sliced after we ordered it. We split a whole, but splitting a half would have been enough. We were visiting post falls and stopped by because of the yelp reviews. Not only was the food delicious and plentiful , but the two women serving us were friendly and when they saw our dog they offered water for her and brought her out end pieces of meat. Ok, 5 stars for a sammich may seem like a lot but they earn it! Yes, there is a little wait because they are truly building your perfect sandwich, but oh so worth it! My brother warned us not to get whole sandwiches, as they are huge, but hey leftovers!! I've been hearing about Midtown for several years now, even hearing about the amazing sandwiches from the owner herself as we floated the Post Falls river together at our mutual friend's cabin. It's taken me 2 yrs to get my butt in gear and now that I've tried it, I'm kicking my own ass at wasting so much time! Hands down, best sandwiches you can get in the Spokane and Northern Idaho area!!! They're so big, they barely fit in the styrofoam clamshells.....so much meat, you can barely wrap your mouth around it (that's what she said - haha!)!!! The amazing owner doesn't waste room with vegetables unless they're grilled accompaniments (like grilled onions and peppers in the roast beef), and has to die for garlic butter that the bread is grilled with, should you choose to take it grilled. Meat, bread and cheese choices are straightforward. Take her advice and don't mess with what she makes them with...she is a sandwich master. The turkey bacon comes with homemade Caesar dressing....to die for! The pastrami boasts a hot mustard only found in Canada...mind blowing taste explosion!
