Not sure why this place has such low ratings. We went with some friends and couldn't of been more pleased. Ordered a crab spinach dip and some mozzarella sticks. Both awesome but the dip was a standout. Friends ordered the wings, cheeseburger and delmonico steak. All great. I ordered the alfredo tortellini and couldn't of been happier. Delicious. Bad service. We were a party of 5 and was told 20 minute wait but after 45 minutes they were still seating people that walked in much later. They act they have never heard of pulling tables together. The hostess was rude and the manager just gave out excuses and lip service. Called Safari Miles while waiting. Was told they could seat us immediately. We are here visiting family and when we pulled up I thought it was some type of deli. When I walked in I was very impressed to see this amazing full bar and large restaurant. The staff was wonderful. I took my family to Midtown on Tuesday night, and the line was out the door. I didn't realize that it was Wing Night (1/2 price wings). I was a little skeptical about staying, because typically when a restaurant is that busy, the service & quality of food will suffer. Not the case!!! I have been ordering and spending a good amount of money at this place for two years a long with my co workers but lately almost every time we order they mess up someone's food or forget to give you something you pay for. We called again tonight because they messed up our order I did not expect a refund or anything just tired of them messing up the orders the night manager was extremely rude to our co worker saying "oh y'all are the ones always getting free food", we are pissed because we have never gotten free food we have only been put down for a fix on our next order bill. We have spent so much money on their business but no more because that was unprofessional as hell and disrespectful. Friendly wait staff and food comes out pretty fast. set up nice with a sports bar area with many TV's and a restaurant area. good menu to choose from. Every time I eat at this Midtown Sundries location I'm blown away by how great the food is. The chef here is great. Yes, it's a bar with bar food but the selection is huge and I have not had a meal there that wasn't great. Pretty much the same as he other 2 locations in the Charlotte area, but every time I've been to this one they have treated me well. I'm pretty sure all 3 are family owned. Staff seems to actually care. Your basic bar food, but a little more diversity in seafood than most. Probably the best place to watch sporting events in the area. This place has gone downhill in the past few months. It used to he one of our favorite spots, but you can never consistently get good food or service. The restaurant closes at random times so you never know if they're open or closed at night. We've had a few issues with Midtown in the past few months but kept coming back. After today, we will never return here. The service is awful and the management couldn't careless about you. My husband and son went in to order food to-go and it took over an hour for two entrées and two kids meals. No one apologized or even told us it would be long. Me and my family went there today for lunch but weren't expecting the lemon pepper wings to be smothered in salt. There was just way too much seasoning on the wings and the crispy taco salads weren't too enjoyable either. I remember coming here a few years ago and the food was actually delightful but now it's questionable. I clearly enjoy eating here since I just did it twice in one week :) the chicken Alfredo with broccoli was phenomenal. But I wanted to thank the server the night of 4/14/21. We were in the side room celebrating my birthday and she saw my toddler keep looking at the game machines. She took him over and paid for him to play which is the nicest thing someone has ever done for us, while also being our server! He had so much fun and won two rubber ducks! Loved, loved their gourmet quesadillas.... Had one problem...called our order in & was told the normal 15-20 minutes. When my husband went to pick it up, our order had not even been placed! Needless to say he was not very happy as he had to wait for the whole order to be cooked. Also, I had requested tomatoes with mine. No tomatoes.They did call to tell me they had forgotten them & if he wanted to come back, he could get them. He was pulling in our driveway, so, no tomatoes. LOL! I ate here about a year ago and did not have a good experience so i decided give them another chance. i decided to call my boss at work and see if he wanted to meet me and my wife here for dinner. We arrived and ordered our food without incident, at that point i thought all would go well....boy was i wrong. My manager ordered a chicken pasta dish which came with a side salad. A while later all of our food arrived and my manager looked at me and said "well i guess i'm not getting a salad". Meanwhile the waitress walked by our table and dropped a bunch of dirty plates on the floor next to where my wife was sitting. Mistakes are human and no one is perfect, I had no problem with her dropping the plates but then she came by and started to spray the carpet with disinfectant which stunk up our whole table and sent my wife digging in her purse for her inhaler for her asthma. Five minutes later i had to switch seats with my wife so she could breath. i get the dirty carpet thing but spray the chemical cleaner after we leave next time....My manager starts digging into his chicken pasta and the broccoli is raw. A restaurant manger came by to check on our table and my manager asked her for some cooked broccoli and then asked why he didn't receive his dinner salad. The manager apologized and left to get some cooked broccoli. A few minutes later a salad arrived after he had eaten half his dinner. 15 minutes later after he finished his dinner the cooked broccoli arrived. Meanwhile the waitress kept walking by asking if everything was ok, completely oblivious to the dinner issues my manager was having. We get the bill and my manager asked the waitress if he can have his ice tea to go. Ten minutes later we got up after the bill was paid and he never received his ice tea. Needless to say we won't be returning to this place again. I gave them two stars because they managed to get mine and my wife's dinners out fully cooked. read more

We eat here a lot and get the wings. We always get them double grilled but tonight when the wings came to the table they were (charcoal black ) extremely burnt!!! So I asked if I could have them replaced after trying them. The manager took them back and all they did was scrape the burnt black off and put some sauce on them. The way I know this --- the same wing I took a bite out of came back!!!! And it only took a couple minutes. Not acceptable!! Went to Midtown today for the first time. Friend recommended it. Was seated fast. Did take about 5 minutes for the the waitress to come by. We got our drinks fast. Then the food came out fast for it to be lunch time. The waitress brought our food out and it looked amazing. My sourdough turkey & ham sandwich was hot and the fries were fresh as well. Very happy. Each time I at the one in Denver it makes me miss the old one on the lake even more. Great burgers, but my favorite is their bourbon wings. I've dined at this one about 6-8 times and it has always been good, but the one on the Lake was within walking distance and that always helped with a late night walk home if I had a few too many. This is my second time eating here, and it was pretty good. I had the potato skins for an appetizer and the fish n chips basket for my main course. The skins were very good, and a decent portion for the price. I also enjoyed the fish. I think the breading was a little too heavy, but thats just my opinion. My server was very professional too.
