Total incopetence. The PA gave me a frightening diagnosis. This caused me distress for two entire days. What she said ended up being incorrect. They knew the day of my visit after a doctor's review that the diagnosis that the PA gave wasn't correct. But, no one told me or called me. I had to make call after call, lose a nights sleep thinking I am contagious to all.. The PA had no right to give a diagnosis, it is not her job. The should be the doctor reviewing the tests and xrays and that is who should give us the diagnosis. This woman should lose her job. read more

I feel that because this is near my house we come here very often. Unfortunately this location is the bottom of the barrel. I think the idea is great but staff is usually rude doctors have been sweet. All seem new to this field. Awful customer service. I tried to call on the phone to ask questions and a woman who spoke unclearly, answered the phone with an attitude for no reason. I respectfully asked her to repeat herself since I couldn't understand her and she just hung up in my face. Also, I'm pretty sure this company sells your data and phone number to health insurance companies because shortly after calling them, I began to receive spam calls from health insurance companies. My company requested an accessibility accommodation form on July 17. By July 26, it was completed incorrectly, failing to meet the requirements in the original email. On July 30, my company requested an official letter on letterhead--also stated in the first email--but they repeatedly resent the same incorrect paperwork. I even offered to type it myself that day. By August 4, when I asked if the letter had at least been typed, I was told, "I guess they can start on that." By August 9, they claimed difficulty obtaining a letterhead. They also lied about having reached out to other locations for assistance obtaining this form being that I offered to help August 1. On August 11, Portage Park retrieved the form in 30 minutes and informed the norridge location--who stated they are working on it and don't need assistance. That same day, a physician falsely claimed no locations could provide a letterhead and all were working on it. Patient advocacy has never reached out to me despite leaving two voicemails. I left a message with the manager. Shout-out to Portage Park for being wonderful. read more

I had to go to urgent care. I spilled bacon grease on my hand It felt like it was still burning. When I arrived I checked in at front desk. I explained that I had just burned myself. I had my hand wrapped in a towel. She told me to have a seat. She didn't know how long it would be. There were probably eight or nine other people waiting. No one looked at my hand to see the severity or the extent of the burn. I understand you have to wait your turn. Somehow a recent burn seems to me to take precedence over Covid testing or sore throats. I said OK I don't mind waiting, however, is there someplace that I can run cool water over the burn while I was waiting? I was told by the receptionist that they suggest not putting anything on the burn before it is seen. Now keep in mind this could be an hour at least. Meanwhile my hand keeps "cooking". I told her the Mayo clinic online suggested putting it under cool water. She said " it's up to you if you want to believe them or us". I asked if there was some place where I could run it under cool water while I was waiting. She told me the bathroom. I said I'm going to be in there for a while. She said that's all they had. I ran it under the water for about 10 minutes. I came back out and sat down for about five minutes . My hand was still burning terribly. I got up and told her I was leaving. I went to another urgent care center where they saw me immediately. The least the receptionist could have done is informed a doctor about what was going on and let them make the decision. ################################################################# I now have received a response on Yelp from Midwest. I've been to the Norridge Midwest Express Clinic when I haven't been able to get an appointment with my primary and as appointments are not necessary and beats waiting for weeks or going to the ER when you're sick. I have never had a bad experience until this Saturday, 16 Dec 2023 & today 18 Dec 2023 at my follow up. I was around my nephew who tested positive for covid and the flu, he had a fever, and was throwing up. Couple days later I began feeling ill. Being a single mom & swamped at work I thought it was just a stomach bug (vomiting and diarrhea), fever and body aches and chills and figured I'd let it run its course with my little home remedies and not further expose anyone. But after 4 days I was not getting better, I come in because my employer give me 3 days plus I took 1 vacation day since I still didn't feel well but after that they require a return to work letter, no big deal right?! Or so I thought. I head to the clinic in Norridge Saturday, let me acknowledge the other staff are WONDERFUL despite how swamped they were. I'm not complaining about the wait time at all as many moons ago I worked at a clinic and know how crazy busy they get especially during this time. However, although I had the symptoms, no taste/smell, at this point thankfully the fever had broke, thankfully I was negative for covid/flu but I was still vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps and the body aches. I finally get seen by APN Stefanovich, she begins frustratedly questioning why I didn't come sooner you probably had covid had you come sooner your results would have reflected that, or you probably have the virus everyone's getting and have been coming with the same complaints. I honestly didn't think it would last this long. I felt like a child being questioned and scolded by my mother. I'm a 45 y/o single parent, I take care of everyone BUT myself and I don't like going to the doctor unless it's really bad. I know not the best practice, but there are many people who are the same, however, neither here or there. She begins talking down to me she's only going to give me 3 days, that if the medicine doesn't work I need to go to the ER and very condescendingly tells me she's not going to do FML paperwork for me and at that point, I reply, excuse me but no one is asking for FML paperwork. I'm a single parent, I need to work, where is this coming from?! So she excused herself and said she misunderstood, and I reply I never asked you for FML. I don't understand how she got confused. Fast forward to today Monday I return for my follow-up, I'm a bit better, but still puking. After an almost 2.5 hr wait, again I understand the wait, they were swamped, not complaining about that at all, however, I wanted to ensure she cleared me for me to head to work tomorrow, as I was not going to make it to my employer's medical section before they closed at 3 given they're way south, she began saying again in a condescending and rude manner that she wasn't going to give me an extended holiday. At this point I'm confused, reasonably irritated now, & insulted. I reply that she needs to stop making assumptions, at no point did I ask for an extended holiday, nor FML, that my employer requires us to call everyday we're sick, we get assigned a nurse case manager who encourages us to take our time and get well before returning. Technically tomorrow the 19th would have been the 3rd day she was referring to. Had it not been so busy and they not have accidentally put 3 patients ahead of me, I would have been out early enough to head to my employer to clear. But, this woman was rude, disrespectful and discriminating against me. I don't put out reviews but her behavior was not professional. I never once disrespected her much less the staff, as I understand from personal experience the pressure they are undergoing, however, I left feeling discriminated and with a referral I didn't even ask for. If my stomach still hurts I'll call my primary for an appointment and a referral. But I was not rude nor disrespectful, then she's like take off your mask let me see your face, and again I was just beyond baffled that her bedside manners were this terrible. If anything I was like "ma'am where is this coming from? you shouldn't make assumptions. that's not ok!" No apology, as she from the moment she saw me Saturday had formulated her own assumptions about me. Then she asks me to review my letter and of course she typed the wrong date..smh, then takes the letter from me and says I wrote wrong date, crosses it out adds the correct date and signed/initial's it. Thank God I was able to email to my employers nurse case manager and she was fine with it, but this experience was very unnecessary and disrespectful, I felt judged for something I didn't even do. I will never return to this clinic, and will never recommend anyone come here either. I'm a kind hard working woman, I felt as if she questioned my ethics and values. it was awful! read more

Mireya Valladares is not the right person to talk to customers; she has no manners; she want your insurance, you copay, want to keep you credit card info with her and also a signed form to authorise her to charge your credit card in the future (she said if the insurance does not pay). When I told her this surely illegal she said We are a private company!!!! The Doctor marked a spot infected on my hand and wanted to see it after 2 days ... We I came back she said you need to pay for a fallow up in addition to the insurance and the form. I prefer to go to this urgent care over the one that is much closer to me. The wait time is shorter (I always make an appointment though), and the staff is very kind, listens to my concerns, and prescribes me what I need. At other immediate cares I need to practically beg them to give me antibiotics even though it's clear I have an infection. The waiting room is clean and tidy and they offer free masks. You may want to consider going in the morning if you can for a shorter wait time. I imagine it gets busier in the afternoon or after 4pm when people get out of work. read more

I came in this morning to get treated and was told I needed my credit card/debit card stored on file so I declined because I was previously a victim of identity theft and I have never heard of a medical practice that store's credit card info. Our 2nd visit. Efficient, professional staff, obviously well trained/prepared for their role. Both providers were caring, and really took their time to fully explain diagnosis and treatment. Many more services offered than just urgent care that appear geared to whole health. Facility is very clean and aesthetically pleasing in a calming way.
