Hello potential customers of a Miele table top coffee machine. DO NOT BUY ONE!!!!!!! I have been waiting on a repair for four months and my Miele table top coffee machine still does not work after spending $900 on repairs on a two year plus 2 months old machine. I ended up buying a Nespresso machine. I loved my Miele table to coffee machine when it worked. I love Miele and have been a loyal fan and owner of many Miele appliances. When it was time to replace the washer and dryer that came with the house we just brought, I knew I wanted Miele. However, I wanted to educate myself on the pros and cons first of a smaller capacity washer as well as a heat-pump dryer. I may have hit the lottery when it comes to connecting with an advisor/representative who went 1,000% above expectations to ensure my learning about their products to ordering them and after installation support was outstanding. Her ability to connect and follow through makes her amazingly unique and I hope Miele understands that without talent like her, the buying experience wouldn't have been the same or may have not purchased them at all. Miele Tysons Corner Experience Center - Appliances Near Me - Vienna, Virginia

Miele (pronounced like Sheila or Tequila) is a German company. There are 12 experience centers across the US. If you ever get an opportunity to visit, you should. The experiences include sponsor events, cooking classes or a chef prepared dinner. This location is across the street from Tyson's Corner, beside Red Door. Hubby and I enjoyed a 2 hour wonderfully prepared meal with our own personal chef. Jennifer spoke to me about food choices, allergies or items to avoid. We had the place to ourselves. Jennifer was our chef. We entered a beautiful showroom with seating around the cooking area. Jennifer had festive party favors and hats, as well as a birthday gift for hubby. We were offered beverages while Jennifer prepared our items. She explained the features of the Miele ovens. They were awesome. Our chef explained how she was making each dish. The showroom is beautiful. There are wonderful luxury refrigerators stocked with colorful items used in celebrations and classes. We had an amazing meal. The plating was creative. We enjoyed a beet salad with goat cheese and a light vinaigrette dressing. The vegetable potstickers were wonderful. Hubby had salmon. I had pesto pasta. We both also enjoyed steamed broccoli and rice. Chef Jennifer made bananas foster for dessert. We even sang happy birthday to hubby. We ended the meal with cappuccinos. The Miele coffee makers were incredible. You could almost have a conversation with the machine. Jennifer was a great food and product narrator. We felt so pampered. The only detail we didn't like was leaving. Bonus points for free valet parking or validated parking in the garage. read more

Thinking of getting anything Miele? Don't. Simply do not. Imagine purchasing a $3,800 microwave and oven (as well as all the other Miele kitchen appliances unfortunately). The microwave stops working. You call Miele service. They are the ONLY ones who repair Miele. I think they are the only ones who can get parts. Miele ports you to a subcontractor named Happy Home Appliance Repair, which schedules a repair - many weeks out. The evening before that blessed visit, Happy Home magically reschedules your repair for three weeks later by sending you an email. The day before the rescheduled visit (now six weeks without), they change the four hour window from morning to afternoon. If you ask, indeed beg, they offer to move it to the next week. For the love of all that is Holy, buy anything else. If you do have a Miele product, take a knee and pray it does not break. read more

We bought a fridge and wine cellar a couple of years ago. The installation was very lousy. Parts were missing and their head quarter was incompetent to solve problems. We recently ordered few parts for the vacuum cleaner and we want to return one part, however we had to call, wait 30 minutes and a lot of hassle. Miele is a name in Europe and our experience with them in Asia was good. Her in US is a disaster. Try to avoid them. Anh read more

Bought a Miele cordless vacuum. The vacuum works great, but the wall mount that came with the vacuum was missing the screws and instructions for wall mount. Called the store to ask if they could get me the missing screws (totaling all of .75 cents) so I could mount the vacuum. They told me to call customer service. Customer service won't give you the screws without paying 85 USD for the entire wall mount that I don't need. I asked the store rep if he could just get me the screws. He said no and I would need to contact customer service, which I already had. I told him I would be returning the $900 vacuum because they were unwilling to help me find a .75 cent part. That's apparently where they left me. Unbelievable crappy customer service. You would think you could expect more when you buy the most expensive brand on the market. read more

I have visited the center to assess all their appliances. The first thing I needed was a vacuum cleaner. The team really set me up! I have special requirements on account of a lot of nice persian rugs and also small children who make messes. To my great surprise I ended up with a phenomenal upright, and it was not at all what I thought I would need. It is a tremendous machine, especially after using my V10 Dyson. The people have probably spent 10 hours with me as worked with their washers, dryers and ironing machine, and the incredible induction ranges. A special shout-out to Jennifer Arias who walked me through all the features of these fabulous products. I have owned a lot of Miele products over the years and they keep getting better. PS...patience is a specialty of the staff here-my 2 1/2 year old dismantled very vacuum cleaner they have about 5 times!!! read more

After the staff at the store raved about the combi-steam oven, I decided that I wanted to go with the Miele ovens. However, once they were installed, I couldn't remember what was so great about the combi-steam oven and haven't really used any of the features. Last week, I went to their Masterclass on Combi-Steam ovens and they explained how to use it, a co-founder of Culinaria used the ovens to make us an amazing meal and we enjoyed learning how to use the oven to make multiple dishes at the same time. They gave us the recipes and I am eager to try at home. Also want to try a class at Culinaria. Pete made an awesome sauce. The chicken came out moist on the inside but the skin was perfectly crispy on the outside. And he made a quinoa chocolate dessert that was delicious. read more

Called the store this morning so we could come by and look at one of their products and was greeted with a terrible attitude from the sales associate. Not sure why all the attitude, but it is all good, one less trip for me and I will not be buying any product from Miele. read more

Thinking of getting a Miele appliance, think again. Ask about there service team. Our coffee maker has been serviced at least a dozen times and still doesn't work. There are no local Miele repair people. The last three times, they drove to DC from NY, and our appliances are still not fixed. Our almost 3 year old dishwasher hasn't worked since the middle of May 2019. We are waiting for a contracted repairman tonight. This is the 4th visit to attempt a repair, and our first am appointment has been extended today until 9:30 pm!!! (Imagine that - who possibly but Miele would think this is appropriate, after I waited all day! I can't afford to take yet another day off work, so I am putting up with it. And was just told that they still don't have the needed part for my coffee maker, even though this was confirmed 2 weeks ago. I so wish I had done my research and not ordered a single appliance. From this company. They are not what they used to be. Sales people in this store are great . . .its what happens after the sale. If you think it won't happen to you, think again. Buyer beware. I purchased six appliances from Miele, dishwasher, cook top, warming drawer, speed over, and for a basement apartment a dishwasher and speed oven. So needless to say a large order. I did tons of research and reading to determined they had great products. Well no one told me about the customer service and install experience. It's been difficult to say the least.... The first time they came out, everything was installed. I was unable to stay, so didn't test anything. When I went to check, the warming drawer was installed very poorly. It sticks out from the cabinet, as I was told it would NOT. The following day my plumber was there and tested the cook top. It wasn't working. Neither was the basement dishwasher. So I called... They told me someone would call to let me know they were on their way. No call. Since I had some people working in the house, they just let themselves in and supposedly fixed the issue. I still have no idea what the problem was and how it was fixed. Well, now I'm moving in and went to use the dishwasher for the first time and it's not working. So as you can image I've spent a lot of money on these appliances and I'm super frustrated. I called again, only to speak to some guy, with a whole lot of attitude who was less than helpful. He asked me to check the plug to make sure it's plugged in. Well, I would but the install team insisted that the plug be behind the machine. So I have no idea if the people that installed this machine, actually plugged the thing in. Their solution to all this is to send out Mr. Appliance. Their "certified repair people". As I explained to the gentleman on the phone, the machine does not need to be repair, since it's never worked. Still waited for a phone call back to see when "Mr. Appliance" is coming out. I called the store where we purchased the appliances to speak to Manager and apparently no manager is working today. So would I do this again....? Probably not. This was more expensive and more headaches than if I had just chosen something else. I've renovated multiple properties and never had this many issues. read more

Purchased a dishwasher, and a downdraft vent to go with the Miele combo set that we had also purchased at an earlier date. We were repeatedly told that the downdraft would fit right together with the combi set. When the marble contractor asked for cut out instructions 1 week before the finish install (after the vent had been cut out of our brick and cinder block) we were advised that it was impossible to place both a combi set and a downdraft vent together. Miele cost us over $1800 in "mistakes". Do not trust anything that the sales people tell you. read more

The good. Nice store, well built products. The bad. Pricey, pricy products. Took a month to get dishwasher installed. Website listed on warranty registration card is dead. Cycles not working right . Went back to store and they said call tech support. Call tech support and long wait. Left my number and no one called back. Called them again. Got a tech who really did not know the dishwasher, no help at all. Fumbled through complex direction. Said to try cycles again and if still not working, call back again to schedule service. The dishwasher cleans great but some cycles not working. The appliance is complex, maybe overly, with a bunch of programs and settings. Would I buy this again after 9 days ownership? No, I don't want to be chasing issues down and pressing complex series of buttons just to get a brand new expensive appliance working. Do not buy this brand you will have a service nightmare . Update: dishwasher still randomly does not run cycles correctly. Door sometimes opens for drying sometimes not. Call tech support and they try to suggest operator error. Scheduling service usually takes about a month for them to show. Arrogant overall could-care-less attitude. Avoid miele can get a brand that works and has some level of support. Update after a year and about 5 onsite service calls and hours of phone contact they came and replaced the dishwasher. It is now working. read more

So. After my first post, we got a call that day. We were assigned a new rep and he was going to look in to the issue of faulty cook tops. We got an e-mail that a cook top had been tested and would be drop shipped directly to us and then installed. That was two weeks ago. I have e-mailed the current rep as to whether he had an ETA on the cook top and received no response. I'm SO tired of trying to fry, boil, or otherwise cook on the one lousy burner on my BBQ grill.
