I'm having a wedding next year and I was searching for a bakery. I found miFlavor from a google search. Their website is esthetically pleasing but doesn't have any information. I emailed miFLAVOUR and I didn't get a prompt response and it was acknowledged by the owner, she apologized as they were working on their new location. I overlooked this and I was still interested in having a cake sample. I asked what flavors she had and if I could pick up the samples on a specific date. When I asked if the date would be ok (two-three weeks notice), I never heard anything back from the owner. Even though I received poor service - I still gave the business the benefit of the doubt. I went to miFLAVOUR the day I asked if I could get tastings. I bought a couple macaroons and their hazelnut cake. The cake was not good. I think I got a raspberry macaroon, not the best but better than the cake by a little bit. And I bought the hazelnut macaroon, this was surprisingly good. While I was there I asked the woman checking me out if they had more flavors for order than the ones in the case, she said those were the only flavors. But after looking at pictures of people's cakes- I believe this was incorrect. Very nice. Overall, this business provides poor customer service and not the best quality products. But at least their website and products are visually pleasing, because that's all they have going for them. read more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed miFLAVOUR yet! I came here shortly after they opened on Sprague bc it's right down the road from my BF's families sandwich shop. The macarons are delicious, beautiful and have unique flavors as well as the other petite desserts I've tried. Your purchase comes with a complimentary cup of coffee too! The employees and owners are so, so friendly and I love that you can see the workspace and the amazing things they are creating! Next time I need a cake or desserts I will be calling them! read more

My second visit and I was once again exceptionally pleased! Everything is amazing! My personal fav is the morning bun which is orangey, crunchy on the outside and yummy on the inside! We got lattes today and they too are exceptional! The mocha tasted like the richest dark chocolate, not sweet but so rich. The latte was very good, thank you to the barista Payton! I went to MiFlavour on a whim, because I felt like something sweet. Wasn't sure if the place was open because it looks like it's under construction from the outside (the inside is better, but still obviously being worked on). There was a long line with one employee helping. I didn't mind waiting because it gave me time to look at the case and decide what I wanted. I think this place would be better utilized as a bakery that you order from in advance, to ensure freshness. I ordered two pre-cut cake slices and they were both fine on taste, but quite stale. I ordered the "Lucky" (chocolate Guinness pretzel) and the "Mina" (funfetti). I noticed the desserts have, I suppose, "whimsical" names, some of which are from the Twilight series. I have tried macaroons over and over again and have always found them to just taste like sugar with no identifying flavors UNTIL now! MACAROONS! Attention Spokane! MACAROONS! Miflavor's location is awful, a strip mall on Sprague with a pawn shop (I think) across the street, but walk in the front door and it is suddenly a super cute little bakery and coffee shop. They have one wall of greenery, white 3-D shaped tiles on another wall, and really cool fiber optic light features hanging from the ceiling. They had about 15 flavors of macaroons available the day I went in, of which I bought 10 different kinds. My favorites were coffee, salted caramel, lemon and passion fruit. There were no bad ones though! They also had other bakery items but I really came for the macaroons. Did I mention they have macroons? You should try them. read more

I ventured in here because it was so out of place in the neighborhood. The chocolate croissant was absolutely decadent along with the fruit tart being perfect. They also have numerous sandwiches that looked absolutely delicious along with ice cream. The major downside to this establishment was their pricing. This would be better suited for the Kendall yards area or the south hill based on the ambiance and pricing. I think they will have a hard time selling croissant sandwiches for $14 in this area. That being said, if you enjoy premium pastries and sweets this is definitely a place to check out, just know that you will be paying much more than what you are used to here in Spokane. The service was also a bit iffy, we were the only ones in line and although they acknowledged us, they still took forever to help us while one girl decided to fill plastic ramekins and the other dipped into the back. They were very nice once they helped us, but by that point we had 5+ people in line behind us. read more

A chic and modern place at the outskirts of the city. It is obvious that the owners out a lot of time, thought and effort into this place. Other than its location, everything is great. The interiors has a crisp, minimalist black and white theme with faux plants scattered around. The pastry display is big and they have a wide variety of cakes and macaroons to chose from. Their drink flavors and menu are unconventional. They use unusual flavors such as rose, cardamom etc. The staff seemed very reserved but helpful and polite. My husband and I just went to this bakery after wanting to go there for a couple months now. Once I walked in, my husband and I were so mesmerized by the decor of the shop! I'm going to say that Mi Flavour is pretty much my favorite dessert shop in town. Nowhere else in Spokane even comes close to the artistry on display here. They have several Macarons and Parisian style desserts to choose from in their newly opened store on Sprague, just west of Freya/Thor. They are open during construction of their larger storefront, due to open this Spring/Summer. So, don't be shy to walk inside even if the outside looks a bit unfinished. The desserts here are more akin to a Parisian Pattisserie than to a lot of the other baked goods shops we have in town. You won't find bread products here, just beautiful, perfectly prepared macarons, cake slices and ornate chocolate desserts. They are also available for special order cakes and desserts upon request. I believe they ask for at least a one month notice for special orders. You can also find their Macarons for purchase at several other bakeries and specialty food shops around town. read more

I could not believe my eyes when I stepped into this shop--the location belies an interior worthy of the stylish quarter of a big city. I was delighted to see that many offerings are gluten-free, so I didn't feel the least bit denied. My husband and I, eager to get an overview, selected a plain croissant, a hazelnut chocolate mirror mousse (yes, it's just as sublimely beautiful as it sounds!), and a key lime tart. Each of these was a complete package: Gorgeous to look, deeply flavorful and with wonderful textures. I hadn't thought to leave a review until now, with the coronavirus scare. Super cute place, definitely Instagram worthy decor and presentation. Some really great dessert options. The 3 star is purely for service. It was my wife's and mine first time and we didn't realize that almost everything is made from almond flour and/or egg whites. My wife is allergic to both. That narrowed down her options to like 3 items on the menu. The girls behind the counter were not helpful and were overheard talking trash about my wife's allergies behind the counter after we ordered. There was only one girl that was an exception, I wish I remembered her name but she deserves five stars for being friendly and patient with us while we figured out the ingredients. My wife tried to leave her a tip for her kindness especially after overhearing the other girl bitching, but she refused and said they weren't supposed to take tips. I hope they hire more people like her because I really want to love this place but customer service is so important. read more

I made multiple purchases over the holiday weekends to be pretty disappointed... the only thing this bakery has going for them is their tasty macaroons and that is the only reason I will give it 2 stars... Their service is absolutely awful. Do not get their key lime pie or lemon meringue... I had to double take thinking the funky smell "might" have been from my fork?!?!? I bought both of these for a neighbor who was having a Covid "crab broil" and to my disgust served them this awful lime pie and lemon meringue... :( thank God I added macaroons in the mix. I didn't want to write a review thinking.. "it's covid, I should excuse it" but Honestly, it was the horrible service that made me write this. Do not call and ask "what they can do for you", if you want to order from this shop you have to download the app and then not be greeted when you come in or acknowledged. Nice that it was complimentary though! Everything is picture perfect. Prices are higher than some bakeries, but the effort and quality shows and I think it's worth it for a treat. The only thing I didn't understand was the coffee... our city has tons of amazing roasters in it! There is no reason a bakery should try to compete with their own blend. Stick to baked goods and source your coffee from a local roaster! EDIT: The owner graciously let me know that they do source their coffee from a local roaster. I was to the former location and the new one is over the top! So classy, clean and inviting! I have been a fan of the macarons since trying them at My Fresh Basket over a year ago and continue to have the passion fruit as my favorite. Tried one of their croissant sandwiches - the Norte Dame - which was very good. My non-fat latte was done well also. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I wasn't sure why all of the baked goods were sitting on an open counter, uncovered, in very close proximity to patrons (?) It made me not want to buy any of those items -people touching, sneezing, coughing...you get the idea. Maybe I should have asked why the baked goods are left that way. read more
