My husband got a burger and paid an additional $5 for a medium fry with a drink to make it a meal. I ordered a burger with cheese and an order of chilli cheese fries. The chilli was spicy for me and I had my husband try it and he agreed. He said it was spicier than his spicy burger but he loves spicy. He ended up taking the fries with the chilli because the order was massive for one person to eat anyway. They did have a back area where we fit our wagon which was really nice. They also have high chairs. They have a big bathroom with a changing table for children. Overall this is a pretty good place to eat and super cheap. This place is a great stop to get a quick bite to eat on the island. You order at the counter, pick up your food from there, and choose your own seat. They have a lot of booth seating, mostly for 2-4 people, some bigger tables, and a small patio on the water. You clean up your own food as well. Service was super quick and food was nice and warm! One of the best burgers you'll have! I tried Mighty Max during my spring trip to Mackinac Island. It's been on my list for years but never tried it previously due to the long lines. There may be a long line when you're ordering but I promise it goes fast (we dined here twice during the stay!) and you'll have your fresh made burger before you know it! You place your order at the counter and pick it up there as well. The people that work here are super cool and make for a fun environment. If I were ever back in the area and needed a quick bite to eat at an affordable rate this would be it. Note: If you buy a fountain drink you are allowed to refill it at no additional cost even if you leave and come back later in the day(until they close). It looks as if this restaurant is a local favorite. Many carriage drivers and hotel servers were poping in after their shift for dinner to-go. There is NO restroom available for patrons. This burger joint ain't bad if you know what you're getting into. It's definitely what I would call a "tourist trap" on Mackinaw Island. Food is a bit pricey and the quality is lacking. The burgers themselves are reminiscent of Checkers/Rally's, but marked up considerably. I was however pleasantly surprised by the poutine. They use fried cheese curds, which if you ask the average Canadian is not authentic at all. But regardless it is delicious and will comfort you on a cold autumn day. If you're at the Mackinac island for a day trip, chances are you are looking for a place with quick service to grab a meal, preferably with a nice view! This place checks all those boxes. Of course it's busy during peak summer time with so many tourists but the good thing is that they manage to keep a high standard of good quality burgers. Oh dear! We went for the low price tag and the idea of a quick hotdog while pounding the pavements trying to see all we could in one day! Don't do it! Learn from our mistake. I mean, it should be near on impossible to mess up a hot dog, right? Especially one that is smothered in chili, cheese and onions to boot, right? Well they managed.
