I would strongly recommend Mighty Muffler Pros. My car started sounding like a lawn mower yesterday. I call to see if I could schedule an appointment to get it looked at. I was told to bring it in and they would look at it. The diagnosis was a flex pipe flange gasket had blown. The part was replaced and I was on may way in a hour for a really reasonable price of $100.00. This was the best experience I've ever had with an issue with my car. Got our car diagnosed and quoted for the appropriate part needed ($1980) + labor ($250). We buy the part separately and when we come in they increase the labor cost to $600 saying they originally quoted us for a different part than what we actually needed (which isn't true, especially since we have it in writing). I can't speak to their quality of work as we went to a different shop for the labor. But the fact that they switched up the cost on us gave me a doubtful feeling about their integrity. read more

Not sure what's going on with the reviews- seem to be very good or very bad. All I can say is my entire family has gone to Mighty Muffler for about 20 years. They are always fair priced and do good work. I do call and make appointments - just to make sure they have all the parts on hand. Not sure if that was the issue with some of the other reviews, but this isn't a grease monkey franchise - they don't hold every part for every year, make, model of every car - so you may need an appointment so they can make sure they have everything on hand to complete the job in the time they promised. (Again, I don't know the details but just guessing). Just today I got my front brakes and rotors done on a new-to-me used car. They got them done at a price lower than was quoted (and the quote was cheaper than other shops), and had the car finished even faster than he said they would. I was planning on coming back to get my rear brakes done at my next paycheck. Jim let me know the issues I was having was probably because the front rotors were out of round, and my back ones actually look really good so I didn't need to come back until I am having a new problem. Now that's an honest mechanic! We've gone to them for years, and will continue to go to them. They have earned out trust over and over again. Hope this review helps some folks. read more

After another shop had charged me over $300 for unnecessary diagnostics and unapproved work, I reached out to a trusted mechanic that we have used for over 20 years, and he pointed me to Mighty Muffler Pros. They immediately recognized that I had been taken by the other organization and helped me assess what had been done up to that point and what needed to be done going forward. They spent nearly an hour reading my engine code history and thoroughly examining my vehicle - even adjusted my tire pressure and offered to tack my heat shield for free. In the end, they sent me back to my long-time mechanic for his weigh-in on the matter, without charging me a dime! A Mighty Muffler, Thank you for your quick and quality work on my 2015 RAM. They helped me price out the job, and even got me info so I could buy the parts prior to coming in (which no mechanic/auto shop likes). And came in right at what they said it would be cost wise. They are first come first serve so it took about 1.5 hours but the job looks great, fits really tight with zero play or travel. Got to watch part of the job, really friendly guys, will show and explain everything before doing anything. Go in there and some grumpy old guy doesn't even say hello or anything says "do you have an appt?" I reply "No I didn't know you needed one" and then old dude finally looks up from his magazine and says "you have too have one." I reply "ok how do I set an appointment" at which point he gets up without answering my question and walks too the back. I wait a few minutes and just leave. The absolute rudest and grumpiest person I have ever met in customer service. I needed a full exhaust for my truck and this turd just passed up an easy job. This place will be out of business soon if "grumpy" doesn't learn how too deal with people. Don't waste your time with these clowns. I went there once before, and had a horrible experience. I brought my own muffler, and just wanted it installed. After installation there was no sound difference and I was informed they left the isolator on. I asked that it just be cut off there, and they said it would be ANOTHER $100 to just cut that off. I ended up doing it myself in the driveway of my friends house. I somehow chose directions to the same muffler shop two years later, and upon my better judgement, since I was already there, pulled in. I have an off-road vehicle, and need the exhaust set up, so it won't get smashed. Now, as opposed to $100 extra dollars, the same older gentleman refused to even do it. He (the owner I presume) is an impolite, inconsistent, money hungry person, and I highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

16 years ago had an exhaust system put on a 1975 Dodge Truck. Great Service and they did a great job. BUT now, maybe a different owner because they are extremely rude on the phone and in person, and when you do make an appointment a week before they do not honor the appointment. Today was the second time there will not be a third. I recommend going else where. read more

This place is exceptional, Jim and Gus will take care of you in a jiffy! Mighty Muffler in Westminster is fair priced and quick with the work. I was told at one shop in Denver that i was looking at about $1400 in work. Went to Mighty Muffler for an estimate. $800 later my car passed emissions with flying colors and I was back on the road savings hundreds of dollars! Thanks Mighty Muffler you go above and beyond! Had some custom exhaust work done on my car and these guys really made it happen; I brought in my parts and we worked out a great deal.... I have dealt with Mighty Muffler previously at jobs with local high end European car shops and had great service.... This experience was exactly the same as the positive ones I have had in the past..... There was absolutely no wait and work was done quickly and efficiently with quality. This guy looked at my car and said he had to order my part. He didn't call back for two weeks and when I checked in, he told me it would be faster to get the part on my own from a dealership. He was too lazy to look up the part number and insisted it was the only gasket if it's kind in the area (it wasn't). I finally got the part and dropped the car and never heard from him all day. When I went to pick it up after work, the shop was closed. Nobody had called to say my car was ready. I had to get home and find a ride for my son to school the next day and a ride to my car. He didn't even apologize. Incredibly unprofessional and sexist. I would NOT recommend fhem AT ALL!!!! read more

Bad custom service, no one was friendly. Overpriced. Most importantly, shoddy work. A couple months ago I had headers, a resonator and a catback installed. The exhaust rattles BAD. It didn't at first, but now it's awful. After inspecting to see what it was, the exhaust hangs loose, TWO/three nuts they put on one of the bolts connecting the cat to the car back were the WRONG SIZE. They fit over the bolt like a glorified washer. Bad welding on the flanges, for over $400 I expected quality work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this shop to anyone! read more

When he finally got around To looking at what I needed he told me I had to go to a junkyard. Open and close when they feel like it. Terrible customer service. Poor work. Had an exhaust leak brought it in to get fixed they called said it was fixed. I picked up the truck and could clearly hear the exhaust still leaking. It was like pulling teeth to get it back in to there shop. Always said they were too busy. Finally got it in only for them to tell me they dont have the part to fix my exhaust. The guy was a complete ass. He told me i should put my exhaust manifolds back on after i spent 200 bucks for headers. A joke! read more

They are lazy incompetent. I left an up pipe overnight to have an O2 bung welded to it, and have an adapter made for my exhaust. The welds for the up pipe protrude into the interior of the pipe, and looks like some could break off and end up in my turbo. As for the adapter, it was cut haphazardly and welded up crooked. They did not clean up any of the items I picked up, and there were metal splinters and shavings all over them. They completely forgot about my order, until I walked in, then had me wait while everything was welded up in a rush. I paid $70 for this. Most definitely not worth it. Up pipe is ruined. Jim is an Ace mechanic and Honest as well! Try to find a good mechanic these days - Good Luck - most are incompetent or only know how to overcharge for poor quality workmanship. Jim is not of this breed of mechanic - he's old school and won't sell you what you don't need and won't overcharge you for his quality workmanship. I've been to 4 mechanics in the past 12 months - overcharged each time and still my problem persisted.Today I met Jim at Mighty Muffler and today after 12 months my truck is Finally running properly once again. I have been using mighty muffler for a few years now. It used to be the only place I would go, but now that Gary left a few months ago I won't be going back. I went in there to get new mufflers put on my car recently and they charged me $120 to cut my old ones out and clamp the new ones in (that I purchased online). That seems a little steep for four cuts and a couple clamps that I had to re-tighten a week later because they used the cheap clamps. I also specifically asked them not to drop my old mufflers and they dropped both of them. I have recently decided to buy my own welder and do all my own exhaust work. If you need any exhaust work done, find a different place. They are over priced, do mediocre work, and are arrogant and rude. read more

I have tried two days in a row now to take my car to this "first come first serve muffler shop" at 8am (the time that they open!) And both times the OPEN sign was switched on and the door is open so i walk in to get an estimate and there is a man who's only there to tell me that they are closed, BOTH TIMES. Very unprofessional. Poor quality workmanship exhaust was under sized and rubbing on the frame of the car had to have all redone by A qualified shop, mighty muffler refused to make it right. This place is not recommended! See the pictures on their site I posted of exhaust hitting floor board and rubbing on emergency brake cable and undersized exhaust tube choking the motor, hazardous and crooked. read more

I'll cosign on that. They guys who work there used to do ok work. But since the locations are closing up the quality has suffered. I used to get my brakes done at the Colfax store. I will never be going back after I spoke to an ex manager. He told me the owner laid off his entire crew at the Federal store one day before the shop had to close. he didn't give any of his employees proper notification or time to find work. thats just plain bad business. Id say the quality of work they provide is directly correlated to bad shop management. I recommend going to my four year old cousin for any work comparable to theirs, and you only have to pay him in cookies. only gave it one star because I had too. read more

Highly recommend! I went to another repair shop that was going to charge me almost $800 dollars to fix my muffler. I brought my car in to Mighty Muffler and got my car fixed in an hour for $140. This place is open and closing on there own time. I've came here several times during the "hours they are supposed to be open" but have been closed several times.
