I drive by this chocolate heaven frequently and finally had to stop and explore. What a find??? There are over 75 different chocolates flavors, each one is molded and designed differently. They offered me a sample, after they asked me if it was my first time in there. I decided to try the Ginger with lime seasalt with 56% dark chocolate. Wow, what a combination of flavors! A must try for everyone. I put together a gift box of 15 pieces for $27 (what a bargain) and gave it to my wife. We explored each piece that night and enjoyed a unique artisanal chocolatier in our beautiful Glendale. Not sure why I haven't shared a review for Mignon because I have been coming for several years. It is such a great hidden little secret in Glendale and I am not sure why there aren't lines out the doors. They may not appeal to some of the younger, hipper set because some of the packaging is a little dated looking and some of the "gifty" items just do not look like something a younger person would give to someone. However, there chocolate is simply great! And the price for the quality makes it 6 stars if that were possible. It is all made locally and several times a week! The staff is always super friendly and they remember their customers. I also find them to be very generous and offer samples of full truffles or have them on the counter for people to try. They also make several beautiful truffles. In fact I would say their chocolate is some of the most beautiful I have seen. I take these chocolates with me to family and friends when I travel in the US and internationally! They make great gifts and also great gifts for yourself!! I hope to convince them to create some updated packaging for the gift boxes that might be more fun/appealing/attractive. Currently they are too old-world looking. read more

We've always bought our special occasion chocolates from here and it's always been delicious. Recently my sister was in need of decorated candles for her wedding and it took us many phone calls to different bakeries, florists, etc. to try and find someone who would be able to do it. Everyone said no. Until my sister called Mignon. We bought the candles and dropped them off. Lili was such a pleasure to work with. I dropped off the candles for my sister and didn't know what design she wanted so Lili was very patient with me. She later sent me pictures of samples of what she can do and my sister was able to pick what she liked. I picked them up the very next day and they came out really nice. It was such a relief that they decorated the candles (though it's not their usual job) with the wedding the very next day. Lili was also surprised that it was so hard for us to find someone to do the decorating and believe me, we were too! We'll keep coming back here for all our special occasion chocolates. read more

Of course the product at Mignon is the best you can get. More importantly, the people who work in the store are friendly and accommodating. I was out on a walk with my service dog and needed to use a restroom. This is one of several businesses open on Sunday afternoon in the strip-center. After asking at 3 other businesses, the young woman at Mignon was very nice when I asked and didn't hesitate my request. I've done business with Mignon since they opened years ago and will continue to be a faithful patron. Thank you again for your kindness. I can not understand how some employees can be so rude and unprofessional. I did not get the chance to get the employees name but she had red hair and was very rude to other employees in front of the customers. I was surprised to hear someone yell inside the shop, but I was shocked when I saw that it was the employee who was yelling at others for no apparent reason. Summary: Mignon Chocolate serves wonderful tasty chocolates that I think would make me want to turn fat in search for that "golden ticket" (ref. to Willy Wonka movie). This place became a treasure in itself that I alone got to enjoy without any long lines or no parkings. A toast to them for the many awards they received! Call it, glendale's little "secret garden" for chocolates, leaving a personal touch to the whole feeling like this place is yours, and you don't want to share your little secret to the world. My son loves this place. Whenever we drive by here, we have to stop for some chocolate. Everything is really good and fresh, but the price is ridiculous if you are taking your kid and he wants each truffle that is like a dollar each! I frequent the Mignon in Pasadena and have recently been coming to this store. I can't ever get enough of this chocolate!!!! The last time I went in, I bought almost $200 worth!! I really love the ginger with lime sea salt, lavendar, cuban mojito, creme de menth, and chili pepper!! Their flavors are soo unique and the girl who works there is very sweet and helpful. They will let you sample whatever chocolate you want, if you ask them. I falso had her make me an ice blended mocha and it was just as good as the chocolate! I went to Mignon Chocolate looking for a variety of chocolate at reasonable prices and that's exactly what I got. A few seconds after walking in the woman working in the kitchen came out and very efficiently helped me pick out several pieces and made a few suggestions. She explained which cases were sold by the piece and which were sold by the pound. No complaints about the service. The chocolate is pretty good, the ginger sea salt is the most unique that I tried. I really liked the hazelnut truffle. I would say these chocolates are not quite as good as Godiva, but for about $1 per chocolate I'd go back and try some more. read more

Sometimes stellar - sometimes subpar. I've been here close to a dozen times and while I'd love to say this place is a 4 or 5 star-- they simply don't have enough consistently good service to warrant that rating. There is one guy there, I got him my first time, that is spectacular! He's great at explaining the chocolates, getting you excited about your purchase and really paving the way towards enjoying your relatively high-priced specialty chocolate. Contrast that with my last visit where the guy was probably more let down to have to work than excited to see a customer come in. He asked questions and made comments on my ethnic origin, uncomfortable attempts at conversation etc. He was going to throw the truffles in with the the standard chocolate that gets weighed... Truffles are delicate and pricey enough you don't want them squashed in bag-- we had to ask for a box which is usually a given. After I paid the bill I looked it over to find I got overcharged, I ended up getting the extra truffles I had paid for but the whole experience was a disappointment. I'm sure I'll return eventually but lately have been hesitant since I dread another awkward experience. Having said that, their chocolate is pretty awesome. They have the best chocolate bars with dried berries on top, rich and flavorful truffles, good high quality chocolate. read more
