    Yummy butterfly milk chocolate

Delicious chocolates in a cute shop! Not the flagship store but had a great selection of various chocolates. A family owned business from the early 1900s. Visited on the Melting Pot Old Pasadena food walking tour. Nice and knowledgeable employee.

My favorite chocolate store! Well worth the price of their chocolate. It tastes just as good as it looks

Randomly stopped by during an afternoon walk and was overjoyed that Pasadena has a fancy chocolate store. There are times that I want some thing better than just a mass produced chocolate bar. The staff who helped me, was very knowledgeable about the chocolates. I randomly walked in and suddenly didn't know what I wanted to eat. I'm not a huge fan of liquidy insides., and prefer milk over dark chocolates. Unless, the dark chocolate has some very sweet cream inside. It's a very small store, but they have plenty of options for all kind of chocolate lovers, even ones who want to get experimental with their tastes. They have chocolate for all occasions, and all different shapes and sizes but they often run out of flavors by the end of the day. I recommend going a little earlier around the afternoon or opening to ensure that you get the best flavors.

    Thank you, Cindy! Xoxo

Anyone who knows me, knows I favor artisanal chocolate- I love to support literally all the local SD brands. Recently though, I jumped into another committed relationship and he doesn't like me buying superfluous things (his name is Car Loan, cough cough), so it no longer fits my budget. I've been happily eating my way through my holiday truffles from Trader Joe's. While up in LA, my girl gifted me these exquisite handmade beauties! I've never seen such unusual flavors, such as rose water, and I especially love the hand-painted champagne lips. Overall, these are absolutely beautiful, great for gifts and the chocolate itself is amazing. I enjoy real ganache, made with cream, and I have a feeling these are crafted with quality ingredients (many places use... palm oil).

The chocolates were overrated and overpriced. There wasn't anything special with the chocolate pieces my mom and I got. Lacked flavor and wasn't sure what made it so special. We've had luxury chocolate before but this was no comparison. The service was awesome though! Great gentleman and very knowledgeable.

We stumbled upon this small little chocolate shop while in Old Town Pasadena and decided to pick up a gift box to go. You can choose from one of their premade gift boxes or make your own. The make your own ones are pretty pricey for the amount of pieces you get. They offered me a sample and I decided to go with one with a hint of lavender - it was creamy and delicious with just the right amount of subtle lavender. Service was friendly and helpful!

Happened to walk pass this Chocolate shop, I had to get a thank you gift . I decided to get some chocolate's. I had the best experience shopping with the help of the salesperson, Anthony. He was so helpful and answered all my questions and gave me great recommendations. Definitely will come back in to get some treats for my family.

This cute little chocolate shop is tucked away in old town Pasadena. I happened upon it as I walking around in Pasadena. This is a family owned chocolate store that has been around since 1935. The lady at the store was extremely friendly and was happy to help us with any questions we had. She gave us some samples to try as well. They have a mix from truffles to everyday milk and dark chocolates. We tried their truffles and their " M collection". Both of them were delicious! Definitely worth tryin out. Their chocolates are reasonably priced and they have a wide variety of cute gift boxes.

Mom and pop chocolate shop. A diverse selection of chocolates with very unique tastes and presentation. Many of their chocolates have a hint of spice in them. Highly recommend for any person or occasion. I have been coming here at least once a year for almost 10 years now. They have different levels of packaging depending on the number of chocolates you buy and/or the occasion. The packaging is also very nice. The lady here is also very pleasant and kind. The price is a little bit on the higher side but the chocolate is a high quality novelty confection with a special taste that's hard to find elsewhere (not that it's better than other premium chocolates, but just distinct).

To be perfectly honest, I was a bit apprehensive after reading a few reviews about less-than-stellar customer service...but the lady behind the counter (Sandra) transcended all of that by offering me a sample of chocolate before I even whipped out my Yelp check-in... So after asking about what was popular and gazing at all the pretty designs and reading the descriptions, I chose: 1). Ginger with lime sea salt - dark chocolate filled with ginger ganache topped with lime sea salt (their most popular) 2). Caramel cup - dark chocolate filled with liquid caramel and topped with Himalayan sea salt 3). Lavender - dark chocolate shell filled with lavender-dark chocolate ganache 4). Coconut Toffee - milk chocolate shell filled with liquid toffee-caramel topped with a coconut swirl I got it all to go in a beautiful brown box with shimmery orange lid and matching orange ribbon. There was also a gold Mignon sticker...build your own 4 piece box, $9.00 Mignon has a fascinating family history beginning in the Ukraine in 1910, followed by time in a Siberian prison camp (their crime- being too successful) and then on to 1970's chocolate success in Tehran and beloved sweet shop of the Shah of Iran. By the way, mignon, which Americans associate with steak, actually means "cute" or "dainty." I found these confections to be quite dainty and delicious. I especially loved the lavender with crunchy bits of the flower and the coconut toffee. A very nice experience! Yelp Challenge 2019: 13/100

Chili, mojito, pomegranate, dark ganache, and hazelnut crunch.

My friend and I were walking to our cars after lunch when we stopped by this shop. It smelled delicious and it looked delightful. The woman at the counter offered us a sample, and we tried the ginger and mojito (on her recommendation). You only get one sample each, but she was nice enough to cut each of ours in half. Works for us! They were so good. Naturally, we bought a pile of chocolate to take home with us. I took several pieces home to share with my husband and daughter. We're all chocolate fanatics, and we all have a strong preference for dark chocolate. We loved all five. The chocolate with chili was really smooth. You didn't get the spice until the end. The mint infusion in the mojito was so refreshing. The dark ganache was boring by comparison, but that's not to say it wasn't good. It's just that the others were really great. The dark pomegranate had a really nice punch of flavor. And we loved the crispy bits of the hazelnut crunch. I would definitely go back.

    You have arrived.

If you want the best chocolate, well look no further. Mignon Chocolate is a family owned and run business. They have been crafting chocolate since 1935, using a combination of a time-tested craft, innovative techniques, long-standing relationships and a complete obsession with making a premium chocolate that delivers a spectrum of flavor for every discriminating palate. I simply love their assorted chocolates from sea salt to dark chocolates. Interior atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. It's neat and organized. Besides their Pasadena location, they have another store in Glendale. Staff were very amiable and knowledgeable. Prices were fair. Street metered parking only. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this chocolate store.

We should have allowed that to be our indiscretion for the day. But nooooo. Mr. B can smell sinfully yummy calories, even with a bag over his head, a mile away. Their specialty... chocolate croissants. Thus, we let Artisanal Goods lure us in. No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. Sorry about no pictures, but you know how things get out of hand sometimes. However if you want to experience an orgasm in pastry form, I suggest you high tail it here.

The staff was very nice and we ordered the classics. - Croissant : was fresh, flaky and a good size. The only small issue: 20% of it goes on the table as it literally crumbles at each bite. A good croissant should have some elasticity lacking here. - Pain au chocolat: quite large with maybe too much chocolate. But the flavor was on point. I liked it but my wife thought the extra chocolate was too much of the good thing. She reminded me that in the pain au chocolat in France, you actually feel the chocolate under the tooth at each bite. Between the two, I would get the plain croissant next time. Final thoughts: These pastries are more expensive than in other places( pain au chocolat for almost $7 and croissant for $5.5). Would I come back: yes to get the plain croissant.

I've been wanting to try this place, and I'm so glad I finally did!…read more I ordered the Egg Heaven and the Iced Honeycomb Latte. The Egg Heaven was honestly one of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had. The flavors were light but still incredibly satisfying. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the egg salad was seasoned so well that every bite was delicious. It was also definitely worth the price, it came with three pieces, which was more than enough to share between two people. The Iced Honeycomb Latte was just as good. It doesn't come sweetened at first, but as the dalgona slowly melts into the coffee, it adds the perfect amount of sweetness. If you prefer your coffee less sweet, you can always ask for less dalgona. On top of the great food and drinks, the staff was incredibly friendly. Since it was my first visit, she gave us great recommendations and helpful feedback on what to order, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
