    Cheese dip and salsa

Best Mexican in town! Great service. Food was perfect! Wish I had come here sooner. Plus the bathrooms are very clean.

As hopeful I was for Miguel's to be delicious, it was many things but delicious wasn't one unfortunately. I gave 2 stars solely on the fact that our waiter was awesome. And 1 star for the margaritas which were lacking flavor but not alcohol. The chips were stale. Salsa was deep red in color but no spice. The Bean and cheese burrito was huge in size but the beans were whole and completely lacking flavor. The cheese was unmelted. Pricing is fair. Parking is simple. The restaurant is small but clean and well organized. The food just really needs seasoning.

I'm a bona fide Mexican food junkie visiting from California visiting family. Sit in restaurants aren't open due to COVID. Family recommend this place and I visited twice while here and got my fix. My first visit I had the enchilada, taquitio, and quesadilla maize. Yum Today I got the tacos Al pastor. Yum Yummy salsa, decent margarita. If I lived here this would be my go-to place Thanks Miguel's

I debated between a 3 and a 4 for a while on this one. While in Fairbanks we were craving some Mexican and came across decent reviews for Miguel's. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with ample parking. When we walked in we saw that chicken fajitas were the special for the day, so we already knew what we would be ordering. Upon walking in we were told we would have to wait a few minutes for tables to be cleared, which was totally understandable. While waiting another server asked if we had been helped. Once seated, we sat for a solid 5 minutes looking over the menu before anyone came to take our drink order. We both settled on the house margaritas $8 each. They were actually really good, and I'd recommend them if you're into margaritas. This is one of the few Mexican places I've ever been that doesn't offer complimentary chips and salsa. It is $2.50 I believe. We opted for the $5 queso dip as a starter. The dip was alright, you chose between adding a mild medium or hot salsa to be mixed in. This was something I've never had before. We decided to split the chicken fajitas. I was pretty disappointed by them. For one, the chicken and veggies just came out in a basket, not sizzling like a typical Mexican dish. In addition the onions and peppers weren't raw, but they definitely weren't sautéed and crispy like I typically have had. Our server was very friendly and clearly over worked.

    Very good chicken strips& fries

Visiting from California and really enjoyed our burritos tonight. Great flavor and we really liked…read morethe asada.

I had the absolutely worst experience at the Mayan Palace tonight…read more #1 The drunk owner #2 Foil chunks in my food. #3 Bugs in food #4 Accused us of lying and that our picture wasn't at his restaurant, wasn't his tables and plates and that it was from a Chinese food restaurant. ... Details: I told the waitress that my food had chunks of foil in it but I just picked around it. I still had a taco, full plate or rice and beans to eat and she took it away, I figured I would get another plate. Then my 15 year old son found bugs in his enchilada and rice (pictured above) the waitress took both plates away. Then the owner came out and at first I thought he was joking/teasing but he continues to berate us and say that we were lying. Saying we didn't even have food and that his picture was from a Chinese food restaurant. The picture clearly shows an enchilada +fly. The owner then demanded to show my son the kitchen, which was a disaster (don't eat the chips)! The owner tried to intimidate my son with an overly forceful handshake. The whole situation was backward and highly inappropriate. We then were back in our seats for a long time just sitting there with no food so I told him my son we should leave. The bartender then said that we were leaving and didn't pay, I said yes, we had food that was taken away for the mentioned reasons and that we had no replacement and no bill and that the owner was drunk and inappropriate. Then another drunk patron started butting in and said why was I defending my son and that he should handle his own business. I said he might be 6'3" but he's only 15 and it's my job. The wait staff seems to be intimidated by their drunk owner and didn't say a word, one did whisper sorry to me. I feel very bad for the staff. The owner still professed that we were lying as we were trying to leave, I told him to stop drinking. I eat at this restaurant all the time, I love Mexican food, and I was just here at this restaurant on Monday with my husband. Sadly I will never eat at the Mayan Palace again. Beware.

So ok I was craving tacos today and. A huffy of mine suggested this place..... and for good…read morereason!!! The tacos are amazing!!!! This is a small lil joint with big flavor!!! Lane and Brady are two of the nicest people I've met in alaska. But let's get to the taco!! The tortillas are made fresh in house!!! We ordered the Alaska , the Texan, and 'Mercian tacos!! Freakin delish!!!! I can't wait to go back and try the other tacos also they have a special I'm not sure how long it'll be there but he said about a week. It was a chicken taco with pickled hominy and onion and some kind of white sauce which was fantastic!!! For two meals and en extra taco and horchata we spent $45 not including til which of course I tipped them. Averages out to about 7 a taco and 2 for the rice n beans. All in all not a bad price . Most definitely recommend coming here if ur looking for a shorter wait time don't go at noon! lol the lunch rush was pretty funny. But u know they're good when u got that many people in a small venue. lol

Went in around noon for the 1st time. Lane explained how everything worked. Almost everything…read moreincluding tortillas are scratch made. The Alaska taco was amazing!! Also had the Texas, which was really good. Sauces were excellent! The beans & rice were good, but nothing unique. I'd suggest get 3 tacos & skip the beans & rice for same price as 2 tacos with B&R. The dine in space is small, but if the weather is good the patio is nice. Very friendly service as well & a good hip vibe. Close to UAF campus.
