I wanted to write an honest in-depth honest review for Mr. Miguel since he did such a great job. He did not ask me to do any of this. Here were the best parts of my experience with his installation of our new flooring. 1. Expertise Mr. Miguel has been in the flooring business for the last 18 years. From the time that I first met him, I could tell that he was good at what he did. His body language communicated that to me and this was one of the things that convinced me to buy his service (and he wasn't pushy at all!). 2. Detail-oriented After watching him replace our floors for two days, I could tell that he is an introverted, detailed-oriented man. He's not much for small talk but he is all about getting to work. From the time he started until the time he finished, he didn't stop working (except for his lunch breaks). His flooring assistant Isaiah is also very similar in personality and style as Miguel. They take pride in the work that they do. They would take time necessary to make sure that it was installed correctly. I watched him closely most of the time that he was working. He didn't cut any corners not because I was watching but because he wanted to do it the right way. He moved furniture around in our home carefully. He also uninstalled and reinstalled the doors to make sure that they wouldn't get in the way and that the flooring could properly be installed. Cost Mr. Miguel's pricing is great. For the work that he does, I am honestly delighted to pay him for the work that he did for us. I believe people should be paid for fair and honest work. He lived up to that expectation for sure! An area that I think Mr. Miguel can improve is the customer service experience. After he came to do the measurements and give a cost estimate, I was a bit confused about what the next steps would look like. I was convinced after meeting him that he knew what we was doing so I gave him a shot. After watching Miguel work around the house, I realized that he's just a hard-working, straight to the point kind of guy. Bottom Line: If you are looking for someone who puts in a solid, honest days work for a great price and can over look some of the customer service, this is the team that you want to work on your floor. I personally will recommend Miguel's flooring to everyone that I know and I will rehire him to fix other parts of our house when we are ready for that. We recently bought a new home, and thought we would be clever by using the 1000 sqft of newly installed but builder-grade carpet for refreshing the old home we were going to sell. The "new" carpet was loosely rolled by another installer removing the carpet from the new house, but they formed terrible ripples in the carpet in the two months before we were ready to have it installed in our older home. I called in Miguel to help - and my heart sank when Miguel unrolled the carpet - I thought it was ruined. However, Miguel brought a good 8# pad to re-install this carpet, and was able to stretch and seam together this mess of a carpet so that it looked great! When we put our home on the market, it sold in 12 hours, and I know part of that was Miguel's great work in making the carpet on the stairs and throughout the 3 bedrooms and closets look like new, and not re-used. He is thoughtful, helpful, honest, and reasonably priced. His team left my home without any marks on the walls or baseboards from their removal of my carpet and the new installation. They also left everything spotless - there was not a scrap of fluff from any carpet shaving anywhere. He cut apart and removed all of our old worn carpet, installed the new pad and seamed together the new carpet in just a day while doing a terrific job! I highly recommend! read more

If I could give more stars to Miguel I would! Miguel was the most hard working, honest contractor that I've met in a very long time. He showed up on time, and quoted 3 days for my job when everyone else quoted a week, and he finished within his timeline! He was courteous to my family and dog, and worked himself along with his crew. The job was done perfectly, no short cuts taken anywhere. He moved all my furniture with the utmost care and literally everything looked exactly as it did before just with brand new, professionally installed flooring. Typically with a job this big the costs involved can be high, Miguels quote came in 15% below competing offers and his work outperformed. When I gave him a check he offered to let me take a picture of his ID which made me feel so comfortable and confident in his workmanship. 10 stars to Miguel, you will not be disappointed!! read more

Miguel and his workers were professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable in their craft!! They sanded and finished our hardwood floors in the downstairs of our home. They allowed us the timing schedule that worked best for us, as well as, provided the stain samples which we got to select from. Upon changing our minds of the stain color during the job, the workers were patient with us in selecting a different stain color, which we love on our floors each day now! They took great care to ensure to minimize the dust from the sanding by using plastic coverings on all areas that could be covered. Miguel even came back a different day to help us move our heavy L-shaped sofa....above and beyond care. Miguel took my call and came out that same day to give me an estimate to replace the carpet on the bottom level of my house. I collected 5 estimates and Miguel's was not only the best price but included the best service. The big name carpet company in NOVA told me they would match his price but I decided to go with Miguel as he was much more personable and passionate about his work. He scheduled the replacement as soon as I wanted and maintained communication with me throughout the process. He and his team hauled away the old carpet, installed the new and even patched some repairs in other parts of the house very quickly. The new carpet looks perfect. Miguel's Floors is a company that is, for sure, as good as it gets. I have been doing business with this company for at least a decade. One thing I can say is Miguel's work is as consistent today as it was 10 years ago. The only difference is that his experience has grown and the work quality is even better. We live in Bristow, VA. I found Miguel through Yelp. Thank you to Miguel and his crew. They were professional in the work they did. His price was fair. They replaced underlay (pad) and carpet in our whole 5,000 sq. foot home. I was amazed that they completed the work in one day. On completion, they hauled all the old carpet away and cleaned up the whole house. If you were a visitor to our home the next day, you would not have known that carpet fitters were here the day before - it was that clean and professional. I had a water leak in my basement ceiling that damaged both the ceiling and the carpet pad. Miguel replaced the carpet pad, re-installed the carpet, repaired the large holes in the ceiling drywall left by the drying equipment, and repainted the ceiling. We used Miguel to install vinyl plank (LVP) flooring in our basement and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Miguel was responsive in all aspects of the job and was flexible in scheduling. He worked with us to split our job into 2 parts (carpet removal needed due to water problems) and later installed our flooring after we resolved the existing moisture problems. I did a bit of checking for flooring services and Miguel's had excellent ratings. We called him and he gave us a very quick response for estimates on carpet and luxury vinyl. His prices were very good. We hired him for doing the floor in our bathroom and it came out great. He ripped out the old ceramic tiles, baseboard, old plywood underlayment and installed the luxury vinyl. He did the whole job in 2 days at about 4 hours each day and he worked non stop. We had Miguel install LVT (luxury vinyl tile) in our laundry room. It's a busy area with access to the garage and also downstairs to the family room, too,....about 55 sq. ft.
