This fast food Miguels Jr. does a lot of its business by drive thru. Yes you can walk in too, but there is limited seating and not real comfortable. It is one of their original locations here in Corona and yes, we have been customers here since we moved here in 1980. But not real often. Their other "original" was a sit-down restaurant that was mowed down by a large car dealership, in the 1980s I think. They reluctantly moved. Opened a bigger restaurant. And since, have carried out a very successful business plan that encompasses many areas of So Cal, and that makes all their initial tearful protestations look pretty silly. I personally am not a big fan of their menu. While their business is rapidly expanding, their food is easily matched and bested by more authentic mom and pop places. I find their food for the most part bland and boring. That being said, there is one thing I do like on their menu. Their shredded beef burrito. It is packed with savory beef. And for some reason, even though I would not eat their beans normally, way too bland, they make a nice combination burrito, with a fistful of cheese when I am feeling extra frisky. They make their own salsa rojo too. Again, I am not a big fan of that either, but the men in my life slosh it onto everything they get with their meal. Obviously, each to his own taste. My recommendation, however, is to give the shredded beef at El Taco Lucas (also in Corona) a try before you make a decision. Bigger size, more flavorful and juicier, maybe a little more ghetto location, but that would be my first choice. read more

Tried this spot out because of all the "hype" on here and it is what it is...hype. I guess like a few people have said, if you want gringo food go here. I've tried their chile relleno combo with taco, the chili colorado wet burrito, and their tostada salad with shredded beef. The chile relleno combo was a joke. For what I had paid, I should've gotten more. I kind of wonder if that was a whole chile in their or if they cut it in half??? The taco was nasty as it felt like it was soaked in oil and not drained. I kid you not, the taco shell looked like it even had soaked all the oil. The Chili Colorado Wet Burrito wasn't bad. It was actually tasty, however, it would've been better if I had more than five bites of meat. Talk about chincy! Finally the Tostada salad with shredded beef was a joke. It was more like Tostada salad with shredded lettuce. Again, they were chincy with the meat. Anyhow, I wanted to like this spot, but after three trips down there, I won't be coming back. Hell yes! This was the primary place I ate lunch when I worked at Watson Pharm (the other of course is Innout). I ate on the cheap, so I normally picked up 2 bean, rice, and cheese burritos and loaded them up at the salsa bar. This place is cheap, delicious, and I want some right now! Anything that has their shredded beef is a win though =) Garbage burrito is good. Cheese enchiladas are real good. Bean, rice, cheese burritos are great. Carne asada burrito could use some work. With the all hype about Miguel Jr here in Corona, it was a disappointing meal. I am Down right mad... I had wasted a meal here. Beans and cheese, and rice were so bad there was tears comings down my cheeks. Rice was dry and hard to enjoy. The chili Relleno was tiny with nothing to compliment about. My garbage burrito with Chile Colorado was ok if you like soup for a burrito. Imagine a meat chili mix with sour cream. guacamole, Refried beans, and rice. It actually sounds good... until you try eating it. The mix of flavors was interesting but the texture of that gooey mesh inside the flour tortilla... was anything BUT appetizing. It is always busy...but it needs to be adequately staffed then. The food is always great and I haven't had a problem with that. I particularly like the garbage burrito since it is massive and has just about everything you could ever want in a burrito If you want to be cheap, you can get a bean and cheese burrito for about two dollars The hot sauce that they have is excellent. When I'm in the Corona area I make it a point to go here. I usually order: the bean,rice, and cheese burrito OR the chicken nachos The burrito has good flavor but sometimes you end up eating it with a fork because of the beans spilling out. LOL The chicken nachos are delicious. Your can either order a small or regular size. They come with cheese, guacamole, sour cream etc. Only thing about this location is that they don't have a salsa bar. All and all a good mexican chain restaurant. read more

I love this place and I believe anyone that grew up eating does. There's something refreshing about their beans, no Mexican restaurant comes close to the creamy goodness of their refried beans. Their tortillas also make for a soft delectable treat that pair so nicely as a wrapping for all their varieties of burritos. Their nachos with shredded chicken are super filling and so tasty! Their shredded chicken tacos are AMAZING! Basically mostly everything on their menu will be able to satisfy the pickiest of eaters. Make sure to order an orange bang or horchata with your meal and enjoy!!!! Me and my bestfriend came to this Miguel's twice in the last few days and both time they messed up our orders. Last time they forgot our beans and today I ordered a chicken burrito with no beans, add guacamole , with green sauce on the side, they gave me a shredded beef burrito with beans and no guacamole, as well as no sauce after they asked about 3 times how many sauce I would like. For the price of their food I am very disappointed and still hungry due to the fact that my shredded beef was still very pink and not eatable. Will not be returning, to this allocation at least. All of the corona locations are very poor in food quality and making sure their orders are correct. He even said chicken burrito with no beans add guacamole when he read it back. Do not recommend this location or the other corona and norco ones. read more

I've been going to miguels Jr for about 10 years now. 5-10 years ago, this was my favorite place to get Mexican takeout. Their burritos used to be a good size for the price. Since then, there prices have gone up and their quality has gone down. It seems like every time I go there, there is a different problem... very inconsistent restaurant. Today I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with sour cream. Simple right? I guess not.... I cut it in half and it seemed like they had given me a sour cream burrito with a little beans and cheese. My gf grew up eating here and loves this place. Unfortunately she now lives in the OC and we don't have it over here. I decided to drive out there buy her burritos and surprise her with it. Came here late in the evening around 8 and arrived at 8:30. The seating inside was closed so I had no choice but to order from drive thru. A simple menu to order from with nothing out of the ordinary. The food is pretty excellent. The hot sauce that isn't hot actually tastes really awesome. Something about it makes you continuously pouring more and more on to your items. I had the shredded beef taco, carne asada garage burrito, and brc burritos. The shredded beef taco was awesome. A light flaky hard shell, and tender beef. The cheese melted lightly onto the lettuce. I loved it. I didn't expect that. The carne asada garage burrito was okay. I've had better carne asada burrito's elsewhere. The BRC (beef, rice, and cheese) was probably the best I've ever had. With that hot sauce pouring over this big burrito I just couldn't get enough. Made sure to get myself a large Orange Bang to soak down the beans. I felt a bit gassy afterwards but it was all worth it. I tried something new and my girlfriend was happy. :) Recommendation: BRC burrito and Shredded beef taco. Don't forget the Orange Bang! read more

Have you ever looked forward to a meal, scarfed it down in pure hunger, regretted it, and puked it all out? *Raises hand* I did after eating a much-acclaimed BRC burrito. I looked forward to trying out a BRC burrito after reading many raving reviews about it. I ordered one after sitting in traffic on the 91 with hunger pains setting in. I scarfed down the first half of it, thinking "OMG, it is that good!" Hunger pains subsided and another feeling kicked in. Guilt. Remorse. Nastiness. Reality sets in halfway through my meal I just ate a whole can of refried beans that tasted like they were smothered in mantecta lard, then added in some rice and fattening cheese before being rolled in a flour tortilla. Feeling like Veruca Salt after she ate Willy Wonka's three course dinner gum, I went home and threw it all up. Disgusting? Yes. TMI? Probably. But I'm just warning folks that unless you love tons of saturated fat, cholesterol, and more fat, save yourself from the BRC burrito. Or else just eat a whole can of refried beans and call it a day. I was born and raised in Corona. The ONLY thing that would make me ever return home (besides of course my very large and wonderful family) is definitely daily consumption of Miguel's Jr. I can say that I have been eating at Miguel's since I was knee high to a pig's eye. I have literally eaten everything on the menu... Miguel's is the perfect, most delicious Mexican food joint on the entire planet. I go back home for a weekly visit at least twice a year. Each time, I make it a point to eat at Miguel's at least 3+ times. My absolute favorite entree is a bean and cheese burrito, with jalapenos, wet style. If I were on death row this would be my requested last meal. I hate beans, but there is something special about the beans made at Miguel's. Perhaps it's the extra lard or cheese they mix in, I am not sure. But, they have the best beans in the world! (Sorry Grandma.) I love that it started as a family business with the original location here on on Sixth St, and now extends itself to a dozen locations, including their eat-in restaurant: Miguel's (no Jr. LOL) They even have these funny little "Miguel's Rechargeable Cards" ... Before i was a vegetarian, i used to eat their Garbage Burritos, HUGE burritos filled with (let's see if i can remember everything) meat (your choice), guacamole, lettuce, sour cream, tomato, salsa, beans, cheese, rice aaand well, basically everything you would put in a burrito. And last time i checked it was only $5 or $6 and i swear it's the biggest burrito you've ever had. And seriously... i know it's odd, but they have the best bean and cheese burritos EVER. Miguel's is great! They are on point with their hot sauce.. shit is perfect with everything! Food is extremely cheap and there's seating available always. Dine here for lunch or dinner. The food is fast, they have a drive-thru and they keep their restaurant clean. Unfortunately, parking is very compact and the drive-thru is always congested. There are places you crave and places you CRAVE! Miguel's Jr. is an establishment that built their reputation on their famous Bean Rice Cheese Burritos (RBCs). I've been eating here for over 20 years now and it takes fast food to another level. I highly recommend their burritos RBC, Pork Potato Cheese, etc. I am not a fan of their tacos or nachos but the enchiladas filled with chicken and smothered in their hot sauce is to die for. Miguel's hot sauce is also what causes the food rating to jump from a 4 star to a 5 star (in fast food terms). It's so good they actually have to limit the number you can have per item. You can also order your item "wet" and they pour enchilada sauce over your burrito. They do not use ground beef but shredded beef instead so if you are expecting Del Taco or Taco Bell do not eat here. Shame on all the people giving no love to this place. Comparing this place to Taco Bell is Sacreligious and again, order the burritos not the tacos. That's like saying go to McDonalds instead of In and Out for a delicious burger, like comparing a Hyundai to a Mercedes, like saying Knott's Berry Farm is just as good as Disneyland...Makes 0 sense. This is the best way to get a great tasting quick mexican meal. We love the red sauce. I found this place when I was a supervisor. My employes always told me that I was lucky to live in Corona because I could go to Miguel's Jr. I head that for months on end. My husband finally went and we loved it.
