Best carne asada burritos ever! All the other food is good too. Service is fast and the resturant is clean. I highly recommend.

I want to begin by saying that I genuinely enjoy Miguel's Jr. and have been a loyal customer for years. I have always had a positive opinion of the company and will continue to support Miguel's Jr. as a whole. However, after my recent experience at this particular location, I unfortunately do not feel comfortable returning. I placed a DoorDash pickup order for a burrito, a taco, and churro pancakes. When I arrived, I spoke with an employee who informed me that my order was being prepared. I could see a clear bag containing what appeared to be my order sitting on the counter. I asked about the churro pancakes, as I have ordered them before and knew they would typically be packaged separately in a clear container. I was assured that everything I ordered was already in the bag. A manager then came over and explained that they were out of churro pancakes and that they were a breakfast item. She offered me a churro as an alternative, which I appreciated. I want to be clear that I am not upset about the restaurant being out of an item. I understand that inventory can run out, and I also understand that DoorDash may not always reflect the most current availability. What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled and the tone used when speaking with me. I felt as though I was being made to feel responsible for the mistake, when I had simply ordered an item that was listed as available on DoorDash. I was only trying to understand where the item I had ordered was. Unfortunately, when I arrived home, I discovered that my taco was also missing from the order. Additionally, my burrito was extremely soggy and appeared as though it had been sitting for an extended period of time. I understand that mistakes happen, and I am usually very understanding when they do. However, customer service and the way customers are treated are just as important as the food itself. I was disappointed that instead of feeling heard and helped, I left feeling as though I had somehow caused the issue. I have been a loyal Miguel's Jr. customer for years, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve communication, customer service, and order accuracy at this location. read more

DoorDash does not allow me to modify my orders which is horrible but I called the store because it didn't tell me where my order was coming from and Vincent completely took care of me he asked just in case if my order came in how could he modify it he wrote it down without being asked and he was so kind he's a sweet sweet person give that man a raise!!!! read more

Awesome service! Friendly and welcoming, hard working and efficient. First time visiting an original location! It has all the charm of old school brick & mortar. Drive thru available. Food was fresh and had that same quality as other locations. Love the fresh lemonade! It's my favorite during the hot summer months to quench that thirst. A friend and I ordered a bunch of food some for here and some to go. It was a fun experience feeling how heavy our trays were. Glad this establishment is up and running full force. We usually go to the Miguel's over on Compton in Corona by the 15 freeway. The food is always good and the beans are not pasty at all and full of flavor. I know it's the lard but that's what makes them good. We tried the one on sixth Street and realized it was completely different. The tortillas looked cooked differently with the brown spots from the grill and a little overdone, I guess the bean, rice cheese when you cut it open and not even move the beans were so thick. I could not digest it and felt terribly sick the next day. I guess we'll stick with the other Miguel's we usually go to. Not sure why they're such a big difference. Hi, This is the original Miguel's Jr. it has been here something like 50 years! Not a negative, but you can tell when you pull up. It definitely has old school ambiance! As you all know, I am a fan and I eat in one of the locations quite often. Probably ones a week. The food quality is basically the same throughout. I like Miguel's because the food is good. Don't get me wrong, it is still Mexican fast food, but it is way better than say Del taco or Taco Bell. The food is more of a traditional type. The Salsa's are freshly made, not the stuff in the little packets. I especially like the bean and cheese burritos, the taco's and the taquitos. Unfortunately, this location does not have self service drinks and sometimes you have to wait on a refill. They also do not give you your drink when you order. You have to wait till you get your food. This is why this location got three stars. I also get good service here. The workers are friendly and always say hi when I walk in. I don't know what's going at w. 6th st but 3rd time now drive took about 20-25 minutes for one burrito. The time before that I was in the drive thru I pull up they asked to hang for a second and then went on to forget about me completely. The last few months have been very obvious of down hill quality. No way my favorite mexican drive-thru, what has happened to it? This place used to be consistently good quality food and accurate orders, now a days things have deteriorated to the point that we threw our entire order in the trash, first of all 3 items were the wrong order and this is the 3rd time mind you that this happens, my husband was furious and you know how they get when they have a few beers in them and they finally agree to sit down and eat after a long day at work only to find the order from Miguel's is completely wrong and the food we did get was horrible. The burrito we ordered with special and careful instructions was wrong, my grandkid left without eating.....we were so mad, we called and as usual they offered a refund....we said no....we dont need a refund ......but for the love of God....please fix this problem!!! Had a bean and cheese burrito and shredded chicken taco. Both very flavorful, however, the bean and cheese burrito needs a knife and fork to eat. The burrito is so stuffed with beans and cheese that trying to hold it and take a bite the burrito fell apart spilling half the contents out of the tortilla. read more

Do not eat at this location. Went yesterday and got food poisoning for sure. Hadn't eaten anything else prior and then felt sick 1-2 hrs later. I did notice the beans they gave me had black pieces in it, because I cook I know that mean someone must have been scraping the bottom of the pot but now I know it was scrapped from the bottom of and old pot and it wasn't hot. Very disappointed I eat at Miguel's way to much. Plus the food was extremely salty. I do feel like I was being discriminated against and that my food was sabotaged purposely. read more

This restaurant is always clean and the staff are the BEST, their manager Marisol is always working hard. She cooks, takes orders (both inside and outside) , she's the kind of worker every employer dreams of. And all the workers there seem to enjoy working there as well. The food is very consistent, good! I can say I've had every item on the menu at least once and have never been disappointed. This is a family business that started with one single location (this is the original location that has been renovated) and grew into an amazing empire of locations all throughout the inland empire and Oc! Love this place and eat here all the time, but they've gotten my order wrong on a couple of occasions, so now I ask before leaving just to be sure that the kitchen remembered the adjustment (double-this, or none of that, etc.). This time I asked at the window to verify that the kitchen remembered the order adjustment before I drove away and I was told "yes, they got it"... only to arrive home to discover that they "didn't" get it, even after asking to check. Also, it might have been a one-time thing, but the chunky guac seemed thinner tonight. Normally it's really thick and that's exactly why I get it. So let me begin I have live in corona my whole life an have been a regular since I would walk to Miguel's in high school for lunch. Last night I had the worst experience with the one off temescal rd. I ordered an asada garbage burrito. Pretty simple first I show up on time call and they leave waiting out side for 30 min. I finally go inside can't find any one. I end up in the kitchen. Usually, this place is pretty good with how they make their food and I love going here. However, during my latest visit, my burrito is definitely not how I expected it to be. I'll be honest and transparent upfront. I've been eating at Miguels Jr. since the 80s and it is still my overall favorite fast food restaurant. The food is unique, distinct, and delicious! I love it. I happened on this page because I was looking up their most recent addition, which is OUTSTANDING pozole by the way. I then scroll through the reviews and see several negative comments. Unbelieivable. I've been to this location at least 4 times in the last 6 months and the service and food has been great, as always. No missing items when I get home, very polite and fast service, and again......Delicious! Just wanted to add so their rating stays real!! read more

I used to love Miguel's, bye not their lemonades taste bad and they charge $1 for every enchilada sauce you get when it used to be free, no way I'm coming back ever again, that's $8 extra just for sauce if i want to enjoy my garbage burrito. I'll pass, hope you guys do better read more

The food is good, but the service is so so. I waited over 15 minutes today for a to go order. The guy in front of me inspected his order before he left, and was missing 3 tacos. It took them 7-8 minutes to get him his missing tacos. I did notice the drive through line was going quickly. They were filling those orders before most of the to go orders that people ordered in the restaurant. We've frequented this location many times, and have never waited so long for food. At the skate park, we got this place as a recommendation and I wanted to try something we didn't have up north. I appreciate the friendly staff. You could hear the person on the drive-thru speaker asking people how they were. The person behind the counter treated us as though he wanted us to be there. That's rare. We each ordered two tacos--one with beef (taco meat/ground beef?), one with chicken, and one with carne asada. It was $7.71 and tax each, and they came with rice and beans. It took a while--their drive-thru was BUSY--but the food didn't look great. The carne asada didn't look asada enough. Everyone thought that the food was okay, but not great. Even the rice and beans weren't quite right. I loved that they actually fried my tortillas fresh, which they didn't seem to do for the other two. They had labels for the salsa bar on the sneeze guard, and they were saying don't be afraid over the green sauce that looked a bit different than typical salsa verde. It wasn't spicy to me--I even drank the remainder in the cup. It's a good place to get a consistent meal, but like McDonald's, you shouldn't expect greatness. Anyone who wants to dispute my opinion, go to Tacos Autlense or a number of other taquerias in San Jose up north, and tell me which is better. read more

Placed my order at the front counter with the courteous & friendly male employee and chose the chili Verde combo which included a beverage. It was reasonably priced considering it was a dinner combo. As for the food, I was impressed with the taste and quality and was better tasting then those big box fast food joints I try to avoid. The portion was decent and satisfying. Arrived just before 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon for a family get together. 8 of us total 2 of them being little kids. We were told it would be 45 minutes. Ok not too big of a deal. Until its been an hour and 15 minutes and every single party that has come before and after you has been seated and you're still out front waiting for a table. Asked the hostess on 2 separate occasions how much longer it would be and both times she responded that we could sit at 3 different tables in the bar section. This place is amazing! Miguel's is very consistent is their ability to reset your body and make you appreciate true Mexican food at other places. I used to come here about 2x per month, but now I only visit 2x per year. Every time I come, I think that maybe they may wake up and realize that salsa and guacamole should not have the consistency of water. Or, that food should not be served lukewarm.
