Servings were great. They had freezer meats to take home which was cool. I loved the hot line service and desert cooler. They had nice set up for seating outside We sat outside as they closed up just to try some Mac and brisket (1/2lb) - Tender , moist and perfectly seasoned . Mac was just right, tasted baked unlike some other spot who just dump noodles and sauce together. Once home the sides were still warm a couple hours later and tasted just as fresh for dinner! Boozy pudding was good!

I went with the wagyu brisket, hill country sausage, and boudin. It came out to about $45, with enough to eat the next day. I'd say the brisket and sausage were solid, but not really ranked in my personal top BBQ stops. I'm not really sure that the Wagyu title stands out with the brisket, with mine not be particularly fatty or moist. The boudin I'd say was a bit of a miss for me -- it was quite dry, and felt like it had been under a heater for potentially hours before reaching my plate. I'd also say the sauce didn't stand out for there also only being one sauce option, and there not being a plain chip option stood out as a bit odd -- only offering flavored variations. Overall I'd say my experience was good, and I love that they accommodate allergies and are a safe option. It just doesn't particularly stand out if you really start comparing it to every other BBQ you've had

We walked around on the grounds and noticed that there is a separate patio and a bathroom with seating outside. The women's bathroom was clean. Now to the restaurant. We walked in the restaurant and it wasn't very big. You could see the menu on the wall, the ordering counter was close, the food pickup counter was next to the ordering counter, the seating was in the middle, and the bar at the other end. After walking in and checking out the menu we walked up to the ordering counter. The person that took our order was friendly and patient with me. I wanted the El Burger that was listed on the menu but I didn't notice that it's only available on Wednesdays. The person told me that so I checked the menu out again to see what burger I wanted. I decided on LeRoy's Smash Burger which comes with smashed brisket patties, pickles, bacon & onion jam. I ordered mine without cheese. It came with a choice of a side so my husband and I picked the potato salad to share. I also wanted to try the Smoked Pork Belly Menudo which substitutes the traditional tripe meat with smoked pork belly. This came with onions, cilantro, and chopped jalapenos that you could add if you wanted. My husband and I decided to share LeRoy's Nachos which has tortilla chips covered in beans, queso, avacado, pico, crema, salsa, BBQ sauce and jalapenos. These come with your choice of meat and we decided on brisket. My husband ordered one taco to try called Chancho La Panza which comes with pork belly, beans, cilantro, and queso fresco. The Food. LeRoy's Smash Burger was delicious. I liked the flavor of the meat and the jam. The potato salad had a mustard flavor to it which I didn't mind. The Nachos were tasty. The BBQ sauce in them gave them a hint of sweetness in the midst of all of the saltier ingredients. The Menudo was spicy. I wasn't expecting it to be so hot but it was tolerable. The smoked pork belly mixed in the soup was good. There was also a crunchy texture mixed in that added to the experience. I tried my husband's pork taco and it was delightful. There was so much flavor packed into a single taco. Overall the experience was positive. The restaurant was small but comfortable, the service was good and the food was fresh and delicious.

Brisket was cooked perfectly and flavor was the perfect mix of salt, pepper, fat render and you just taste the beef! (You know what I mean) Macaroni- my kids loved it! Wanted second and thirds! Beans- cooked perfectly with big hunks of pork belly in it! Coleslaw- I loved it! It was a perfect amount of tart and sweetness. Little bits of apple in it set it off. BBQ Sauce- Yall- help me help them bottle that stuff up! I will POUR that all over my bbq sandwiches. The meat didn't need it but it could be a star all on its own. Chicken- so flavorful and juicy Turkey- soooooo good! Tender and lean at the same time! Pork belly- mic drop, and pick it back up again for the sausage and pork ribs!! They all get five stars!! Special section for the Dessert- ok so I'm a calorie counter and usually just taste the desserts to quench my sweet tooth. Their genuine friendliness and professionalism really made a difference and turned an already great meal into an unforgettable experience. The barbecue was delicious, the portions were generous, and the overall quality was exactly what you hope for when visiting a great Texas BBQ spot. But what really stood out to us was the hospitality. People like Jack and Brock are a huge part of what makes a restaurant special. Very rustic country location and once inside you know you are in a Texas country BBQ. Staff was friendly and helpful choosing our food. They suggested going with the family portions to share which was perfect. For 3 people we ordered 1/2 lb each of lean brisket (moist also available), turkey, and garlic sausage. For sides we went with coleslaw and charro beans. Way too much food for us, but perfect for a large leftover plate. Consensus of all three of us was: -Brisket had a perfect blackened crust, with a good red smoke ring. Very little fat and still very moist meat. 7 of 5 stars! -Turkey was well seasoned, very flavorful, and smoked to perfection. 6 of 5 stars! -Garlic sausage was the home run here. When we ordered they only had the garlic one left. I was hesitant to order expecting a strong garlic flavor. It was the perfect garlic hint of flavor with the amazing in-house made sausage. Outer skin had a snap when you bit into it and the flavor of the sausage is a melody of bbq flavor that overwhelms the taste buds. 10 of 5 stars! -Coleslaw was vinegary with some fresh sliced red pepper and fresh jalapeños which was a good touch. 5 of 5 stars. -Charro beans were flavored to perfection. 5 of 5 stars. -And we can't forget the bbq sauce. This was the perfect pairing for the meat. Obviously house made with the perfect balance between spicey and sweetness. Wife and I both said it was the best we ever had. Blows away the sauce from our favorite bbq location here in San Antonio. Another 10 of 5 stars! Fresh squeezed lemonade for all of us and they brought us free refills. Probably the best bbq we have had....ever!

Was so excited to try Bills after reading all of the positive reviews…read more It was disappointing to say the least. A complete and utter let down. Got the three meat plate ( ribs, pulled pork, and brisket.) The Ribs and pulled pork were tender hut that's where the compliments end. Both meats were severely under seasoned and there was no smoky flavor to be found. I just don't understand how the ribs could have such a nice red color from the smoke and lack any sort of smoky flavor. Thought to myself maybe the sauce can save the meat. Nope! The sauce tasted like it was having an identity crisis. Wasn't sweet or tangy and the texture was gloopy like a gravy. All it did was provide some moisture. Potato salad was average tasted like any ol potato salad you can get from Walmart or HEB. Coleslaw again average, tasted like I went to KFC and got a side of slaw from there. Finally the brisket. What a major letdown. Impressive looking bark on the outside but again lacked seasoning. Both the lean and fatty brisket were dry. How they manage to make fatty meat dry is beyond me. I've always heard that Texans take their brisket seriously and the brisket here just feels disrespectful. The atmosphere was okay. Clean and had a lot of local decor in the dining area. Final thoughts... don't waste your time. If this is the best BBQ in town you're better off going to another town to satisfy your BBQ cravings. What an absolute waste of time and money. What a disappointment.

The bartender who served us our wines acted a little off put to have been bothered. She gave me a very brief but trying explanation of their wine selection. Two small pours of wine: $34. My mom went with the daily special: Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. I went with a two meat plate with chicken and turkey. Green beans and potato salad on the side. The food came out quickly and it was hot. My mom's enchiladas were stuffed full of chicken and looked good. She liked them enough. My plate was just ok. The turkey and chicken weren't bad - juicy and tasty enough. The green beans and potato salad weren't bad. Tasted like something you would get at a church barbecue. The fixings area was okay - stocked with pickles, jalapeños, and weirdly cut chunks of onion. The menu is very extensive, but lacks explanations of the uncommon offerings. There isn't any more menu guidance on the website, either. What comes on the nachos? What comes on the combo sandwiches or flatbreads? I guess you can ask but that could drag out the ordering process on a busy day. All in all, not bad. Not wowing, but not bad.

I'd earmarked Old 300 as the place in Blanco, to go up against the others. We arrived on a Monday about 1:20p. After lunch hour, and the place was packed. (that's an indicator right there. One of the slowest days for restaurants during the week, and not at peak meal time.) The line went quick. They have what's listed as a "BBQ Sandwich" - it's a blend of chopped brisket and chopped pulled pork (not in long, stringy strands) together. We were going to hit other towns & sandwiches, so for the two of us we just ordered one sandwich and a side of potato salad. We got it to-go. Sat at an empty table. Got ourselves fixins - some doctored up onions (sliced, seems like they sauté them a little in butter and then top w fresh cracked black pepper), pickles, and both their Sweet and their Spicy sauces. They brought it out quickly, less than 5 min. We opted to just eat it there instead of take it to the next town. We topped with pickles, onions, and the Sweet sauce. Oh my freakin' sweet Lord! In this small Texas town with an unassuming spot a block and a half off the main road going through town, easily one of the top 5 bbq sandwiches of all time - no joke! To break it down, we tasted all items individually. The onions are delectable - softened from the sauté, good moisture from the butter, delicious. The Sweet sauce is crazy good. A fantastic balance of sweet, tang, & slight bite. I've never said this before but it's true - told my daughter, "I could just sit here and dip these pickles in this sauce for the next 30 minutes and be completely satisfied." The sauce, yes, is that good. Daughter is not a heat/spice lover, but she did try the Spicy sauce and we both thought it was definitely tame as far as heat goes. We both thought the Spicy sauce was okay. The Sweet sauce, though, stellar! We were overwhelmed by how good it all was. When we got to the car, I said, "All the ingredients together was like a symphony." Next time I visit her, am absolutely gonna suggest another drive out to Blanco specifically, to try some other items on the menu. But I can say this, for the BBQ Sandwich, pickles, doctored onions, and Sweet sauce alone, Old 300 is worth a generous drive and you will 100 percent be happy as a lark. Thanks for fantastic meal, Old 300. Will most definitely be back.
