5 star reviews can often be unbelievable. However, Mikes deserves it for the following reasons. Service. I send my 19 year old daughter down to get the estimate. She was make to feel very comfortable. Cost. Good bodywork is expensive. The price given was Fair Integrity. They followed through and completed The work for the exact price they quoted. Flexibility. They let us store the car there for several Days before and after work as we were out of area. Quality. The quality of the repair was awesome. Cannot Discern the difference. Exceeded expectations. I am disappointed. Brought in my car for a quote, they took pictures, said they would email me the quote. Never received the quote. Called them after a few days, they said they would send it immediately. They didn't. I had my estimator literally tell me 3 times " I have a post-it note here to call you back" but NEVER did. There's a reason why he's one of the top rated shops in the area and widely used by the insurance companies. My car was returned to me in absolutely pristine condition. It's beautiful! Not one thing was of concern in the transaction and being that it was in for work, I decided to pay extra to have some other items fixed. These guys rock! Cliff was the service rep who handled my repairs. This guy is a prince! Don't take it from me; go in and check out his shiny crown! This shop is fast, HONEST, and their work is impeccable. She offered to have somebody bring my car to my house because my schedule was conflicting with their hours of operation but we made it work. My car was damaged in a hit and run this past Thursday that left the front bumper dangling. Through State Farm, I took it to Mike's. Cliff explained they are slammed with work, but would get my estimate as quickly as they could. He worked with me to keep it as affordable as possible since I have to eat my deductible. He promised to get me information by today. Today I get a series of texts letting me know the status and that they can do the repair for WAY less than my deductible and they can get it done today. And, that I could drop off the rental there, rather than make an extra trip and Hertz would pick it up. When I got there to pick up my car (they even washed it!) Cliff was touching up the paint, even though I told him it was cool to leave it as it. It is a very old car and I care more about safety than beauty. They really went above and beyond - they even popped out damage that I said was okay to leave, since it was purely cosmetic. He was genuinely nice and great to talk to, he listened to my concerns and addressed them all. This level of customer service and attention to detail is what makes the difference between an okay experience and a great one. read more

They were knowledgeable and patient with me. They texted regularly with updates. Their customer service and care was top notch. I don't know how they stack up in terms of rate comparison as the person who hit me was responsible for the damages. But I would recommend them to anyone based upon my experience. Let me share my recent experience and hopefully people can learn from my mistakes. There's more than one Mike's auto body in the area. Go somewhere else!! First of all, I called them to make an appointment and a lady told me to bring my car on next Monday. But when I got there on Monday, they told me they were fully booked til next Thursday. So I made another appointment and left. I should have took this as a warning but hey... I wanted to give them another chance. So anyway I dropped my car on Thursday and they told me will be done in 3 business days. But they never called me. 4 days later I called them and was told they needed extra time. I said ok. A week has passed, they called again and told me will be done the next day and will call me again to let me know what time to go pick up my car. But they never called. I called them again and they told me some of the parts were late so they need another day. They said will let me know tomorrow. But they didn't. I was furious and called them again few hours before they close and they told me my car is ready to be picked up. So I went there, and guess what, they tried to over charge me... I showed them the paper works and the front desk lady apologized. So overall, they took 13 days total when they were supposed to get it done in 3 days. That's alot time I can't get back... I would not recommend this to anyone. I mean what kind work can they do when they can't even keep their words. read more

Even when there was some delay because of parts he followed up with us and provided updates on a regular basis. When the repair was done, he informed us and made the whole process very seamless. My wife's Acura got sideswiped and after some research, I chose this place. There's a large book of customer recommendations/references in the lobby, their Yelp reviews are mostly positive, and they are a State Farm recommended shop. The good: my advisor, Scott, was extremely professional and knew his stuff. Their systems in terms of customer notifications/updates are modern and efficient. And they do a good job of moving your car along the repair process and keeping you updated throughout. The bad: when I got my car, I immediately saw several flaws that required rework. I'm talking paint runs, misaligned panel, and an area that was repaired that was not even sanded properly nor finished right. They redid those areas, ended up repainting the door, and it was better but not perfect. They forgot one of the protective decals that goes on the lower body panel (Scott ordered the part but I never got a chance to go back). About a month later, my 2011 BMW 3 series got rear ended while parked and, despite my priori experience, I had it taken there, thinking it would quickly be totaled. It did end up being totaled but not before it had to be taken to a BMW certified shop. Kudos to Scott (a former BMW tech) for knowing that only a BMW certified shop would have the correct tools and equipment to deal with the glued/bonded panels on a modern BMW. Scott gets 5 stars, but based on the quality of the actual repair and lack of detail, I wouldn't take a car there for repair again. Ironically my wife's car got hit again and I took it to Jim's Auto Body instead this time. read more

Update Horrible experience number two. My adjuster scheduled my repairs here. So I just wanted it done. Big mistake. From inspection to appointment it was a week. Only 800 dollars of paint repair took 5 days. Here's the kicker. Get in my car to leave. No audio works at all. They can't fix it. Was told they turned it off. He said he'd call me Thursday. Nothing until Monday and he said I can take it to dealership but I will have to pay for inspection and that my model had a lot of radio and sound issues. I've had this car for five years. No probs. Now no audio and they won't fix it. So I have to file complaints and get this done I don't trust them. Scammers Would not recommend Mike's autobody I brought my car here with a minor door ding approximately $1000 worth of damage I was told it would take around three days it took almost 2 weeks and when I picked up the car and we were inspecting it we both saw a bubble in the paint they wanted me to take it anyways and bring it back the following week which to me was on except a bowl to be without a car and miss work a whole other day so I left the car for the whole weekend and Monday to be repaired again I also had damage to my license plate cover and they didn't fix it which is annoying and I now have to figure that out it just took way too long for such minor damage they do a lot of insurance work here and maybe they put me last I don't know it just seems crazy it took that long and they didn't even check out their own work first be prepared for this to take a very long time from dropping off the car to the inspection it takes about an hour and a half to then making an appointment to drop it off to be repaired which will take about a week and then when you drop it you're going to need another 45 minutes the worst part of that is when I dropped it off I was told that would be fast and it wasn't and they told me they would take care of a ride to the rental agencyIt took 45 minutes for the car rental place to come when he picked me up it was literally two blocks away and I could've walked I wish somebody would've told me that and I told the car rental person and it took 45 minutes and he said I just got the car so this place really does not respect your time read more

This was doomed from the moment I brought in my car. Came in for an estimate on my car on Thursday the 19th (was rear ended and pushed into the car in front of me) for minimal front and rear damage. The estimator, Jason, said the computer was down so he'd email me the estimate as soon as they were back up, that it shouldn't take more than 3 days to fix and that they're currently booking for Wednesday the 25th. No problem I'm a patient person. Never heard from him. I called on Friday and they said the estimate hasn't been uploaded yet and they'd call me by the end of day. Never called me back. I called them again on Monday and they finally had my estimate in but bc they took so long to get back to me I had to now wait until Tuesday the 31st to bring it in (6 days after the original quoted date). They called me on Friday the 3rd at 5pm to tell me my car was ready but they close at 6 and I would not be able to get there by 6 so I scheduled to pick it up Monday. Upon arriving on Monday morning I noticed that they forgot to fix the rear bumper. The damage was minimal, however there was damage and it was in the estimate to be fixed, it was just overlooked. I had to wait another 3 days to get what they told me was just a dent removal and paint job. I had to call them every day bc they didn't call, to check the status. I finally picked up my car on the 11th. Once I brought the car home I noticed that: 1. The hood wouldn't open and 2. They installed a clip underneath the bumper inside out. Come on!! So I had to go back in this morning to get that fixed. Fortunately they fixed it quickly and Sam the manager was nice about it. That's the only reason why they're getting 3 stars instead of 2. Their customer service (when they actually call) is nice and the manager gave me a free car wax for my trouble. read more

Being hit by someone is never fun, but Mike's always delivers on returning your car to you better than you expected. It looks brand new. One of their fortes is keeping communication lines open and keeping you informed of every step of the progress. Jason did a great job both in managing the repair, but in letting me know what was happening. Not their fault that it takes a while to get in - supply chain and lack of repair people - but once you're in, they take great care of you. And it was an added bonus to be able to drop my rental off there, instead of going back and forth. I've used Mike's before and I'll use them again. read more

5 stars for a very honest auto body place. I Stopped by Mike's last week with a bumper that had been in a minor accident. Unlike a lot of the other shops I went to that suggested I needed a whole new bumper, Cliff at Mike's Autobody recommended a significantly easier and cheaper alternative...that did not generate any revenue for his shop. He bent the bumper into shape right there and sent me to his muffler shop for adjustments to my bent tailpipe. He also directed me to where I could get a couple of replacement cosmetic parts. I have not used Mike's for any major repair work but will definitely be using them next time I need to. I brought my car in to get my passenger mirror fixed. I was supposed to have the repair done at the concord facility but when I brought it in they told me that they scheduled me for the Walnut Creek facility and my car had to be transferred there. My appointment was for 8am but with the error on Mikes Auto body, they did not start my car repair until after 2pm. I was supposed to get my car back in the afternoon but because of their error I had to wait until the next day. I received a call the next day at 11am that my car was ready. When I went to pick it up, I paid the full price for the repair and when I got into my car I noticed that the camera on my mirror was not working anymore (which it was working prior to me dropping my car off). I notified them immediately of the issue. They checked my car out and said that they will take care of the issue and get back to me the following day. When I received a call the next day, they told me that this was now my responsibility and that I had to pay an additional $300 out of pocket to get it fixed, and remind you the issue was caused by Mikes Auto Body. I will never go back there again. They are terrible and have awful customer service. I would not recommend anyone to Mikes Auto Body. read more

Took my Tahoe here after being in a moderate fender bender. Long story short, the repair job from this shop is completely sub par. I get my car detailed several times a year and I use different companies. Without me mentioning a single word and without being promoted, each detailer I have taken it to mentions the shoddy work on my quarter panel. Farmers insurance claimants BE AWARE! Don't come here. This is SCAM. I brought my car after accident there. Frontal crash, front light broken. My car was 5 y.o. Before accident it did not show significant problems with electrics. I can prove that because exact same day before accident happened, I had it serviced and have papers where battery was evaluated and it was OK. Again, car was serviced with all papers and there are zero statements about 'electrical problems'. This body shop was suggested by Farmers insurance, and I brought car there. When I brought car there, car did not start, showing issues of electrical nature. I asked multiple times, before agreeing to proceed further, if they could check problem and make sure they could fix car INCLUDING electrical issues. If they can't, said I, I would find easily another body shop. They proposed to sign paper for 'preliminary works' for ~300$. They said it would be clear after that. Then I got a call saying car 'is fine for repair' and they just need to replace frontal lights and fender. Electrical issue is not a problem. I agreed to proceed with repair. After a more than a week(!) I suddenly got a call saying literally: 'We fixed your car, you can take it back. But it does not start'. WOW. I asked them what's going on. I reminded them about their initial promises to fix car and they said quote 'OK, we bring car to dealership for electrical problem investigation, it might cost you ~800$ plus repair, if it is not result of accident'. They started blaming preliminary car condition, saying there might have been problems with electric before. I did not have chance, but to take car to another mechanics. They fixed it in a day. Of course, I had to pay for repair separately. Resume. This is Farmers + Mike's Autobody scam. DO NOT USE Farmers 'suggested body shops'. In case of significant mechanical/car problems you will be charged for no reasons for dealership 'investigation', with zero luck to prove that was car accident related issues. ALWAYS take money from insurance and find thirdparty shop where people can not only bend fenders, but also understand how to fix cars. PS. Final bill was ~700 more than estimate. SCAM again. PPS. Do NOT use farmers insurance. PPPS. Car is painted awfully, there are drops of paint everywhere. I'll attach photo later. read more

While at Costco in Concord, some Neanderthal hit the front bumper of my 2011 Prius and cracked it (the dummy did not leave a note or anything!!). Although old, I keep this car in tip-top condition as it is my "go to" car when I run errands around town (Lafayette, California). Jason was my service rep. He took the necessary pictures, filed the claim with my insurance company, kept me informed of the repairs and etc. When I picked up my car, the cracked bumper was replaced with a new bumper. The people at Mikes Auto Body even washed my car and detailed the interior!!! The fit of the new bumper and color match are excellent!!
