I came here because the paint on my rear bumper looked like it was fading. I was expecting to pay $300+ on the repair. The estimator took one look at my car, said it might be fixed with polish, grabbed some polish, and fixed the paint for free. The 1st time I came here (by recommendation from my insurance company) someone backed into the side of my car and Mikes did such a great job fixing my door so its like new again. A year later I had a little accident with my garage door closing on my roof and went back to Mikes to get it fixed! I swear everyone there is so great! From dealing with Liz and Matt at the front desk and Jackson who was my go to guy when I had questions, it was seamless. They told me my car would be done by Tuesday and sure enough my car was ready. I did notice a slight flaw in my roof and I called Jackson about it. He said bring it in and we will take care of it. I recently needed some Auto Body work done. This was my first experience with Mike's Auto Body, and with working with Joseph from Mikes Auto Body. I had been in a car accident, and I needed work on the rear of my car completed. Joseph was understanding, sympathetic, and incredibly knowledgeable. He was helpful and updated me frequently leading up to my car body work being completed. Before I had talked to him I was worried about the process and also about getting everything taking care of. His explanations were clear, concise and they left me feeling easy about the entire process. When I was driving off of Mike's Auto Body car lot my breaks seemed stiff, so I drove back to Mike's Auto Body, and although they had just closed for the day, Joseph patiently and kindly explained what could have caused the breaks to feel stiff. I did as he recommended and pumped the breaks and this worked to make them better. I am grateful for his knowledge and his patience. Joseph told me he use to be a claims adjuster and to me this fits why he knew the process so well and I am so grateful to Joseph and to Mike's Auto Body for all of their helpful support through this process and the overall incredible job they did with the repair of my car. Took the car in following an accident. Mike's claimed to have repaired it. Called Mike's a year later after another shop said an ongoing issue was likely caused by the accident. Mike's said come on over, we'll take a look. Mike's looked into it, said the problem was caused by the previous shop. I told them the problem was ongoing and had been there long before I took it in to that shop. Mike's said, sue that shop. I said, they could not logically have caused the issue. Mike's became increasingly disrespectful. Service Manager shouted at me and refused to listen to me. Wound up charging my insurance company for a service check without providing me with an estimate (illegal). Moreover, their service provided incorrect results, as went to another shop for the same service three days later and they noticed a problem right away. Turns out Mike's missed an obvious mechanical problem after the original accident. Caused thousands of dollars of damage over two years, not to mention untold stress, hassle, and wasted time for me and for the other shops which wound up fixing what Mike's neglect caused. Terrible customer service, and totally ineffective at providing what I paid for. Women, go elsewhere. There are respectful mechanics out there. People who want your car fixed correctly, go elsewhere. There are better shops out there. read more

I had a Mercedes Benz repair after other car rear-ended mine. Everything was well arranged. The level of service is great! I always stayed well informed about the progress of my car repair. In the end I got a lifetime warranty on repairs and got all the changes and repairs shown and explained (thank you, Jason!). Got side swiped and ended up with a dented rear door. They said they also had to replace the front door so the paint would match. Now the front door leaks air and we have to listen to the freeway air when we go fast. It took a full month for the repair. Looking through the reviews it seems this is typical for them. read more

I was rear ended in 2019 and took my car to Mike's, as I'd been there once before... and had no issues. This time: Not only did they NOT repair it properly... when I brought it back (for the third time!), I was told that someone had tried to steal my spoiler.. (when it had clearly not been replaced, but glued on....and had broken off... making it worse...). when I tried to talk to the people about it... Jorge lied to me and said it was done --it wasn't .. I had to come back again! My car was left dirty and he spoke to me as if I were dumb or trying to get one over on them.. Uh.. this was all through my insurance! I just wanted it fixed! And then! They didn't even match the paint. I gave up. The body shop workers were speaking Spanish in front of me? ABOUT me? Not realizing I speak and understand Spanish... They were so condescending...dismissive .....I will never go back there again. They treat women very poorly. I never write Yelp reviews, but Mike's was so awesome I had to. My Audi Q5 was hit while parked in SF and had bumper damage as well as a weird puncture hole the the size of a sliver dollar on the back gate (yikes). I was pretty bummed, but after speaking with my insurance, we decided to go with Mike's in Walnut Creek. My gf has taken her Audi here and always had a good experience. Cliff was my estimator and did a fantastic job. He kept me apprised of every stage and let me know the how and why the estimate changed. They were able to save/patch the gate and had to replace some additional parts when they removed the bumper and lower spoiler. The work was completed just outside of a week and I got my car back good as new. They even detailed it and vacuumed. I highly recommend Mike's and Cliff for anyone needing body work; it's never a fun process but they made it easy. Also all the work has lifetime warranty. read more

What a great experience for something that none of us want to go thru after an accident. Mikes auto body is just one of usaa's preferred repair centers. I've used them previously many years ago with excellent results, so I went back. My vehicle, an Audi, had both rear end insurance damage and a bit of front end shopping center shopping cart non covered damage. Scott was the rep that provided the estimate, kept me informed on progress and final "happiness check" on the results of the repairs. Everything looks as new, mikes auto body did all of the coordination with usaa, and lastly During final checkout of the vehicle, the guys found that the tail lights were not functioning. Scott called me early Friday afternoon (promised delivery day) to inform and ask authorization to bring to Audi. Subsequent to that he googled and found a similar cast, had the repair crew check it out and solved the problem. I got my car back for the weekend. A few weeks ago I was rear-ended. I immediately took my car to Mike's on N. Broadway in Walnut Creek. I was met by a nice young man who gave me a quote on the work within an hour. Mike's then processed the quote with the insurance company and called me to come in. The arrogant man I met with this time told me they could not do the work as originally quoted and suggested the job was too small. I also found out that he would use inferior, non-Manufacturer' parts. Could not wait to get out of there. Another body shop called the car manufacturer and purchased original parts. read more

Hats off to this place, and even more specifically to Cliff! After being rear ended I chose to take my Jeep here and I have nothing but good things to say and my Jeep has never looked better. I was kept in the loop every single step of the way and services were completed in a very timely manner. I'm an RN an have very unpredictable hours and Mike's Auto Body worked with me without hesitation. They left the paperwork that they still needed me to sign on the seat of my car and let me leave it in their mailbox after hours. They conveniently let me leave my Hertz rental car in their lot and they returned it for me in the morning. And the icing on the cake was the courtesy call I received from Cliff before pick up, letting me know the fuel in my Jeep was low and to plan for that upon pickup so I wouldn't end up late to my destination having to fuel up. I had the best experience at Mike's Auto Body! Joe Padilla was absolutely amazing -- incredibly honest, sincere, polite, very communicative and generous. Joe went the extra mile for me with his service. I was so impressed. Driving to SF on the 680, somebody swerved in front of my Dark Grey Prius V; kicking up debris from the road that slammed into the front of my car. I was left with several scratches, a few dings and sadly, a missing front tow cap cover. Needless to say, I ordered a new tow cap cover at the Toyota dealership. After the tow cap cover arrived (in factory black), the service advisor at Toyota suggested I take it next door to Mike's to have it painted. Toyota in Walnut Creek has only good things to say about Mike's Auto Body. Joe Padilla took care of me right away. He gave me a very fair quote to prime/paint the tow cap cover to match my 2014 Prius. Just as Joe promised, my tow cap cover was finished the next day - in less than 24 hours. It was a perfect color match to my Prius and Joe also buffed out some dings and scratches near the tow cap cover and on the front and side of the bumper -- imperfections that were a result of the road debris hitting my car. I wasn't charged extra to do the buffing. This was simply a nice extra that Joe offered and did himself. How amazing is that?! The tow cap cover is a perfect color match. The bumper was buffed out and looks amazing. I really couldn't be happier was this experience. I was so upset with this happening to my car and I had dreaded getting it fixed. I'm so glad I took it to Mike's Auto Body on N. Broadway. Sharon at the front reception was very helpful and really, I cannot say enough great things about Joe and his service. These folks are great, especially Jason. I had the misfortune of driving my Honda part way off a hidden loading dock. The Crosstour came to rest at about the A pillar. There was little damage (just scraped off a bit of the frame rubber sound-proofing. The AAA tow-truck driver performed a miracle of lifting it up and back onto 4 wheels. Drove just fine, and the alignment checked out as true. But a day later I noticed that the front passenger door was a bit out of true. This is where Jason comes in. I took it to Mike's on Broadway, admitted my stupidity, and Jason took a look at it. He asked if he could have it for ten, and ten minutes later the car was back and the door fit was perfect. No charge. Thank you, Jason. Great people, and I know from the multiple times my now-deceased Father-in-law took his car in for body work, that their body work is top notch. read more

I was directed to Mike's Auto Body by my insurance after an accident at the end of summer last year. I took my car to get looked at and was told to come back for an appt 2 weeks out due to busy schedule. This should have been my red flag. During that time my car started making weird noises and smoking when the AC was on. My insurance company told me to take the car back immediately. I did so and after another inspection my car was kept at Mike's Auto Body. The estimate also went up about another $1000, but my insurance was paying anyway so I didn't think anything of it. By the time i got my car back, the outside looked fine and i had no need to use my AC. After awhile, the headlight on the side of repair kept making buzzing noises, and it would get louder in the car at times. Then the light started flickering and was much dimmer than the side that had no repair/replacement. I took my car back and had the mechanic listen to the noise and was told it was normal. I had him look at the light and he agreed it was dim. They made the changes and gave me my car back. After awhile the same issue happened and i was told to take it to a mechanic because they could not track the problem. I took it to Subaru and had them fix it because Mike's failed to fix the issue correctly twice. Then we get to June, i start using my AC (i've barely been driving due to covid and had no reason to turn on my AC) and the car starts making a weird wheeze, and revs when i stop or park. I bring the car back to Mike's along with video and audio recordings of what i'm talking about. And i'm told its normal again. I insist that my car has never made that noise, and i'm advised to take the car to a mechanic again and if they find Mike's at fault they will contact my insurance. I again take my car to Subaru and they tell me the sounds i hear are definitely not normal. My car ends up at Subaru off and on for 2 months!! They had to keep trouble shooting the issue to see what was the cause. I had to constantly call them for updates and push for them to keep me updated regarding their calls to insurance. It was terrible! Subaru had to charge for the what they attempted, since Mike's couldn't do it. The car would work fine for a few days, and the issue returned. Finally after all of the changes, and almost giving up on my car, they looked at the wiring of the parts that were placed by Mike's, and the wiring was reversed!! And Mike's refused to take responsibility,and told the same to my insurance. They said they simply plugged the parts back in. That makes no sense to me. So they installed a faulty part in my car? shouldnt they be looking at the parts they put into my car? i ended up with a bill of over $3000 for a car i had just purchased during the summer of last year. I am so bummed and pissed at Mike's. All they have said is, the part was already like that- we just place it in, or that Subaru must have messed with it...? How did Subaru mess with it and cause the issue to occur prior to brining it in? Terrible terrible terrible ownership of the issues they caused to my car. And no attempt to reach out to apologize for the issue. Subaru told me this was caused by whomever has done work on those parts of the car, and Mike's is the only place that did anything.
