I've taken my car in to Mike's a few times now. They've been able to help me with an oil change, new tires, brakes, etc. The service turn around time is very quick! I had used Mike's over the years and encouraged my wife to have them quote a brake job vs. blindly relying on the dealership she bought her Toyota RAV4 from. Mike's quoted a little better, but offered a 3 year warranty vs. the 1-year at the dealership. As luck would have it, about 13 months after the install, her brakes felt like they were warped and pads were pulsing like crazy. Not only did they stand behind their parts AND labor warranty, but offered to pick up my wife's car while at work in Delavan, completely rebuilt the brakes with new parts, and returned the vehicle to her work before she was finished with work. This saved A LOT of juggling to get them her car without losing any working hours or multiple trips 1/2 hour away from our residence in Whitewater. Hats off to the Mike's Auto team for fair and honest pricing with a great warranty they actually stand behind...all offered with a red carpet level of service. read more

I always write reviews for places that really go above and beyond. I went to lake Geneva WI to the Ridge.Was suppose to come home on Wednesday. I ended up taking my Truck to an auto repair shop in Delavan because my truck was running bad. I felt something under my feet while driving rubbing under the floor. I felt I had to take it in to be checked out. I have to say reading these old reviews are not true about the Guy I had helping me. The guy that is there now is Todd and he is awesome. He is the most honest and down to earth guy and as busy as he was he really helped me out. turns out my truck was in bad shape underneath. My trans pan was terrible and my catalaytic converter as well as the trans lines. I knew he was the right guy as soon as I walked in and seen him. He always looked right at me while explaining everything about my truck. I know that he did not have to help me like he did but I was so grateful. He did a beautiful job. He also gave me and my friend rides to where we had to go. My truck is running so good and it looks brand new underneath my truck now. Thank you Todd and thank your guys who worked on it as well. Went for a oil change and tire rotation with some coupons I received in the mail. Very nice people, they answered all of my questions. The man who helped me even throughly went through the point inspection with me one on one (which made me happy since I'm not a car gal). He helped me understand some things and I'm thankful for that. Waiting time was fine since I had nothing else to do that day. Overall excellent service. I'd like to go back for sure when I need something done. read more

This was my first time going to Mike's, and I chose to go there because I read good reviews online. Unfortunately, I am the stereotypical girl that knows little to nothing about cars and was only able to go in trying to describe the noise my car was making. Brandon was the guy I spoke with at the desk and on the phone and he was very nice, patient, and honest with me. My car was diagnosed within the hour and all the repairs were done by the next morning. I've been taken advantage of at other repair shops before, but that did not happen here! Been here twice now with my wife's car and found Mike's fast and honest both times. The first time we ended up going here, my wife's camshaft sensor was going and having her stall at various random spots. I wanted to get to the car to Janesville to my preferred mechanic over there, but (1) the car was dying and (2) my regular mechanic was not open on the weekend. Despite having the car die twice on the way over, we made it. They had her diagnosed within two hours, and we had her back by Tuesday. In addition to the sensor, I had the water pump done and they threw the serpentine belt as well. All for under $1000. I had the repair done on another car in 2005, and the price was still the same. I figured it was a fair deal. The second time, my wife's car's battery died on her. I jumped the car and got it over to Autozone, where their sensors said it was a bad diode pattern. With that mind, I figured it would be an alternator replacement. I would attempt that repair myself, but my wife drives a Sonata and considering how hard it is for me to get my hand in there to replace a light bulb, I figured it would be hell. I broke down and called Mike's. In a normally unwise move, I stated upfront that I thought the alternator was dying. They could have told me it was that and replaced it, but instead found the true source as a major parasitic drain. What they quoted as a roughly $500 job got downgraded to $120ish. My wallet sure was happy. So, definitely recommended - they're good folks. read more

I had warped rotors and old brakes. I took it to Mike's and dealt with both Al (Manager), and Cody (Lake Geneva Manager). Never the less they did a fantastic job. Better yet, they spotted out that my tie-rod was completely shot and needed replacement ASAP! I was taking my daughter back to school that next weekend, so this could've turned out to be a roll over had they not identified the situation. Folks. This comes from experience and not just "doing what the customer wants", but "taking care of the customer" and build a professional and personal relationship as our "go-to" neighborhood mechanic. Id like to start off with how IMPRESSED I am with Mike and his team at Mike's Auto Repair. I have an 04 F150 with the infamous 5.4L Triton V8. What is so infamous with these vehicles is that the spark plugs break into 3 pieces in the head, not good :( These guys had the knowledge and tools to get the job done right in just a day, and for a lot less than the dealer told us. mikes screwed me over!! gave me a quote for $383.00 plus tax when i get there the bill is $729.22!!!!! how the hell does this happen??? then after complaining about this bill im being forced to pay, they tell me if i dont want to come back thats fine. who says that? then i get home and crawl under my truck none of the grease zerts were greased and my skid plate is loose. i was going to take all my work there. key word is was. i wouldnt take my bicycle to them scammers.i didnt even want to give a 1 star but had to choose 1 read more
