The driver's side car door had been jammed open; the hinge had hyperextended. We were able to get the door to close, but not without really having to muscle it shut. It was difficult for me to close the door, and would have been impossible for the car's other driver. I called Mike's Paint and Body for an estimate, and was told to bring it in the following Monday. The plan was that he would try to adjust the door so I could open and close it more easily. If they couldn't make it work then and there, they would at least know what parts to order. So today I came by for them to take a look. Mike's Paint and Body had my car good to go within the hour. I can now open and close the door easily and safely. The work far exceeded my expectations. Mike is an absolute God-send. But that's not the end of this story. When I asked what I owed, he just smiled and said there was no charge. WHAT?!! Yes! The labor and expertise was on the house. My car had minor body repair completed over two days. The process from estimate to work completed was flawless. Body shop manager Andy continues his excellent leadership of the shop. Mike's is an unusual body shop in that the office and work bays are neat as a pin. There aren't partially fixed derelicts in the parking lot, or a couple drunk guys sitting on a bench outside. My car needed a front grill and bumper replacement and I took my car To Mike's shop based on their reviews. But it took almost a month to get my car back. The bumper is not completely set flushed and it is sticking out about 1/8 of an inch from each side also there is a 5/8 of an inch gap between the bumper and headlight. I didn't bother to take it back because I don't want them to keep the car for another month just to align the bumper. I am happy for people who had good experiences with this shop but I don't suggest Mike's Paint and Body to any of my friends. read more

I whole heartedly recommend Mike's Paint and Body. After an accident I reviewed all the body shop options USAA offered and Mike's far and away had the best reviews of any listed. Got set up for an estimate quickly. Laura did a quick but thorough and professional job of doing the estimate. She knew exactly what she was looking at and what would be required. She took her data to her office and in about 5 minutes I had a complete itemized estimate. Due to the age/value of the car USAA wanted to total it. I said no and the insurance company paid me. I gave Mike's the go ahead explaining the insurance issue. He said up front and without any hesitation he would do it for the discounted price they give USAA even though they were no longer involved. The resulting work was fantastic! Car was cleaned and zero overspray anywhere when I picked it up and the bill was exactly the same as the estimate. Perfect paint match on a metallic red that was 14 yrs old. I will probably have them also paint the front bumper to resolve a clear coat issue it has had since new. We found these guys on Yelp when someone hit our vehicle and did some cosmetic damage. Everyone was professional, helpful and nice. They were clear and precise about the repairs and associated costs. We felt no pressure to choose them for this job. We brought it to Mike's just before the 4th of July weekend last year. We had arranged with a separate company for a rental vehicle to be there when we dropped off our minivan but the rental place over booked and our family was left without a vehicle over the holiday weekend as the repairs were not scheduled to be completed until the following week. Just before the weekend, we got a call from Mike's. They had caught wind of our rental issue and worked overtime to get our vehicle done and back to us before the weekend started. Being without a vehicle had nothing to do with them, but Mike's took it upon themselves to fix someone else's mistake and help us. These guys are awesome!!! Ever since they inducted my vehicle, they were just a pleasure to work with. They updated once a week as they made progress. It did take longer than they initially quoted but there was a big rain storm, holiday, and they came across something else that needed to be replaced. Overall I am too happy with their work and customer service. The receptionist is too sweet and, I think it might've been Mike himself, was just so polite and friendly. I found out about Mike's when a neighbor inadvertently swiped my car, and her insurance company put me in touch with them. When I went to pick it up, I was exceedingly happy with the job- the car looked brand new! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the inside of the car smelled horribly of paint and chemicals, and the front two windows had stains running down their length. I had to drive home (thankfully it was summer) with the windows open, and because I live in a condo, I could not leave the windows open as my unit does not look out on my car. So it took a few days to air out the strong smell. But I am still very impressed with the body and paint job that was done! I assume whoever washed it (and it did look detailed inside and clean outside) somehow missed the front windows--and should have left the car windows cracked some to dissipate the smell. I would definitely use them again--but would check before i left their building to make sure everything was clean! read more

Due to their small size, Justin advised me the repair could be completed with a bit of buffing and use of a "dent puller." [Pending] I drive a 2001 Jeep Cherokee that I've slowly been trying to restore. It's been a long journey and it's finally time to get it painted. I won't sugar coat- she's a little rough around the edges. Brought my car in to get an estimate for some dent removal, touch-up paint, rust removal, and vinyl restoration. Kristin was sweet and awesome but what makes this review one star is the fact that the technician who looked at my car turned it down and told me that my car is so old it's not even worth the work that would be put into it. Not only this but the price estimate that I did receive was $12,000. This is for dent removal, touch up paint, rust removal, vinyl touch up. I was also told that the rust wasn't a problem because it would be another 10 years before a HOLE was formed into the body of my car. No, Thank you. I've put a lot of work into my car and I found it insulting that they just decided that my car wasn't worth the work. read more

So I did some investigating to find another shop when I needed a fender and bumper repaired on another car. I read the great reviews about Mike's and went and had an estimate. They were not the cheapest but I felt confident after talking with them that they were professionals who knew how to do things right. Mike himself told me I would be happy when I saw the kind of work he did. Boy, was he right! They did an absolutely spot-on paint match! It was done sooner than promised and he was able to save some money on the original estimate. They really do clean your car inside and out when they're done - it looked brand new! STOP RIGHT HERE! This is the BEST body shop in the area! My overall experience with Mike's Paint & Body was above phenomenal. Everything from the cleanliness of the storefront/office area, the parking lot, the shop, etc - clean, organized, and very professional. It is obvious they take their work seriously and the customer service is superb. About an hour or so after I dropped my car off for repair, I received a text message that my car was 'happy' there and on track for meeting the estimated completion date. Funny!! My car is 'happy' at the body shop ... lol. The next day, I receive another text message with a percentage update on the completion of the work, etc - car is still 'happy' ... lol. It's kinda making me feel like my car is at summer camp getting these messages. The third day, I get a text my car is complete (one day ahead of schedule) - unreal!! The office also called to let me know the car was ready for pickup. Great service!! I pick up my car - Can't even tell where the damage was and the car was completely washed and vacuumed inside. Definitely that little bit extra effort that makes great service even better. They also took my keys for the rental car from Enterprise and took car of the return for me. Low stress and no need to jockey rides and wait for people who'll 'be there in a minute.' Outstanding!! Overall, totally pleased with the work, the quality of the staff, the 'as long as you own your car' guarantee and the detailed explanation of the work that was necessary to complete the repairs. Andy was great to deal with from the start. They did a great job on my daughters first car. After the work was done and several weeks went by my daughter asked me what the little yellow light that was on in the dash board was for. It was the Air-Bag safety light.
