We have gone here many times for their great pizza but tonight was the last time we will give them our money. I called multiple times and the phone was busy so it took multiple calls to get through - not unusual. I finally get someone on the phone and they have run out of 2 out of the 4 things we want. So in the 10 seconds (literally 10 seconds) that it took for me to ask the people on my end if the alternatives she offered me would be ok she HUNG UP ON ME!!! I called back and luckily got through on the first try. When I asked her why she hung up on me she said "well I said hello hello for like 5 minutes and there wasn't an answer." I said, "that is not true" and her response was to just move on with the conversation, no apology, not even an attempt at an excuse. Not the first time rudeness is the norm at this business, this has been like this for years. COVID is definitely not their excuse. Shame on me for continuing to go here. Never again! read more

Figured I'd give them a try last weekend. While picking up my order I overheard the guy at the counter (I think it was the owner Mike) trying to remedy TWO different screwed up orders... I should have taken that as a hint to check my own order before I left... of course I get home for my wife to find her salad (I know right...) was wrong. I had the pizza, it was mediocre at best. I am very happy that we found this place. There are a lot of pizza joints in a 5 mile radius and we have ran through most of them. Mike's is consistently good! They make a great pizza; the dough seems really fresh and the sauce is perfect. I am also an addict for the homemade honey BBQ chicken fingers. They are absolutely amazing. Even though I'm a thin crust fan, I decided to try this sweet sauce Sicilian pizza and it was pretty good. It's too bad they keep their slices in one of those lame pizza warmers though because it makes it a little mushy and the lunch time deals with your choice of a bottled beverage are decently priced. Next time I may ask for an extra slice of provolone and for them to put it in the oven to warm it and it may resemble the slices you get at Tripoli's. The place has a small bar area for 3 that could be cozy. Today, the place was a little upside down...booths askew and the floor badly needing a sweep from all the slush and the dessert counter that they advertise was empty which isn't very good advertisement for their new bakery/cafe venture also in Hudson. I am constantly looking for a good pizza place close to home besides other establishments that i will travel too. I have a few that are next to me, which they have frozen dough or pizza is not good, service, etc. I have drove by here many times and finally stopped in.Its a small place with a few booths and a bar and tv and a menu to take with me to order from The girl behind the counter was very friendly.I ordered a large cheese, now there is your reg box of cheese pizza and the extra large, i went with the reg size.I about 15 min I got a pizza that the dough was fresh, not airy or greasy, but soft and chewy. the cheese was just right and the sauce was sweet. for about 10 bucks It is worth it. I have not tried the sicilian yet.however there are two other places I am loyal to when it comes to that, so i am still deciding. The food is good if you can get it. The customer service... not so much! They will let the phone ring forever and not answer, we ordered a delivery at 6:00, at 7:30 we were told it was minutes away, but he had several stops. At 8 we were told we would get a discount off of our cold food if we waited or they would start the order over and get it out as soon as possible. I had Mike's pies for the first time today and can certainly say it will not be my last! The buffalo chicken pizza was one of the best I've had. Mike's Pies is clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We even got to meet the infamous Mike! I love the little bar area and a Buck hunter machine is always a plus! Been there 3 times. First time they screwed up my order and didn't seem to care. Second time I got a club sandwich that usually comes with French fries everywhere else but was told not here. When I asked about it, I was told to go somewhere else if I didn't like it. Third time was 2 years later and my wife and I ordered 2 subs and the dumb girl at the counter never put our order in. We sat there for a half hour until we could get her attention. We spoke to owner and got our money back. Didn't even offer a free drink or anything for their own negligence and stupidity. Also the tables were filthy, looked liked the floor hadn't been swept in weeks and the whole place just not clean. I HAVE BEEN IN CLEANER RESTROOMS.. I have been in the pizza industry myself for 6+ years and have tried many different pizza places and Mike's Pie by far, had the best. I had their Sweet Sicilian Pepperoni Pizza with Provolone and was instantly hooked. I wish I lived in the area where I could frequent this place more often. Excellent food and great Owners. The food has always been the best in town and the delivery guy is always pleasant. We've been a solid customer since they opened. However the reason for only 2 stars is because of their phone customer service and ability to take orders. DON'T BOTHER TRYING TO ORDER BETWEEN 4:30 and 7:30pm FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHTS. We were told that if they are busy, they will take the phones off the hook so you get a busy signal until they are ready to take more orders. However they also have a habit of letting the phone ring forever, never answering it. Lastly, if you DO get through they will ask you to hold and put the phone on the counter then forget about you and eventually hang up the phone without checking if someone is still waiting on the line. This has happened more often than not during this time window. They have lost a solid customer because of their poor phone skills. read more

We have been bouncing around trying to find a good pizza joint in the area ! We have been all over, Dracut, Lowell, Pelham, Windham etc..I have driven by Mike's Pie many times and honestly not given it a 2nd thought. But the other night we felt like pizza and being on a fixed income, we wanted to get a bang out of buck and get quality as well ! I googled top rated pizza joints in the area and Mike's was right up there 4.5 starts I believe and it hit me, if you don't try, you'll never know ! Great atmosphere, staff very helpful and informative, etc, etc, but the key, FOOD. I got a pepper & onion for my wife and son, and I got the cheese (special of the night), crust awesome, not too thick, not too thin, edges crispy oven effect, sauce and chees perfectly balanced. Best pizza I have had in a while and my wife and son said the same about theirs. My son is not a leftover pizza type, but he actually took his and mine over the next 2 days for work lunch. Here's my real test, leftover was put in the fridge for the next day, but at 2 a.m. I woke up and got a drink of water and I saw the pizza and I thought , WHY NOT and had a slice, it pasted the test , Mike's Pie is my official dinner and next day breakfast pizza joint ! Also, while I was sipping a beer waiting for my order, I saw them bring some fries out for another customer in a basket and I added them to my order, hand cut and just right ! Moving to Merrimack from Boston I never thought I would find the perfect Italian sandwich, until I walked into Mikes Pie! When you first walk in you will notice how clean and fresh smell the restaurant has, it was very clean and very welcoming. To the left they have a nice selection of on tap and bottled beers all chilled just right. I asked for a small Italian with everything, the meats were fresh and the cheese was awesome but the best part was the Fresh lettuce and tomatoes and the crisp onions. The bread seemed like it just came out of the oven soft and fresh. This place is great! Very friendly and cool. In today's society business usually worry about the bottom line but at Mikes Pie, they are working hard to earn your business. Very cool! read more

I usually have a good experience with them and their food is great! Love their Sicilian pizza! But lately the few times I've called to place an order the guy that answers the phone has been very rude and short with me! Even heard him sigh and say omg! When I said I needed to pay with a card over the phone. If someone doesn't have good people or phone skills they shouldn't be allowed to answer the phone. There are only two things that matter in ranking a Pizza shop: The pizza and the ambience, in that order. Mike's has a wonderful product. The different crusts were cooked perfectly, done well on the underside and a golden brown crust on top. We had a meat lovers and his signature "Sweet Sicilian". The sauce is homemade (I asked Mike) and is both distinctive and delicious. There is a sweetness to it, but it's savory too. The meats were really nice--especially the Italian sausage--and the cheeses too. It's clear that he has been meticulous about the contents and the preparation of his pizzas. The effect is also clear--a superb pizza. He has lots of other items on the menus as well, including buffalo wings which we're delicious and handcut fries (delicious as well). As far as the ambience goes, this place is comfortable and pleasant. One feels at home here, almost as though you were taking a short step back in time. A friendly atmosphere where you can actually hear conversation. Don't hesitate to come here for a pie or order delivery or take out. read more
