I have been having problems with my Mitsubishi mini split they installed for over three months now. They have tried to fix it three times now, all to no avail. Getting one part from Mitsubishi takes over a month, which they say they have no control over. my home has been over 85 degrees every afternoon for a week now and is affecting my health. They are now avoiding me, and I can't even get a call back. I will be making a Better Business Bureau complaint. read more

I had a great experience with Same Day. On a whim, I signed up at Home Depot to have them come out for a furnace tune up (due to a spectacular promotional price). They came out when they said they would, didn't oversell anything, but offered reasonable services and a service plan that was a spectacular value too. The inspection of my furnace was far more detailed than any other hvac place I've had out. My furnace was in great shape, and my technician, Arlo, was very transparent through the entire process, which I really appreciated. They really succeeded in winning me over as a customer. read more

We've been using Same Day on a maintenance contract for our heat pump/AC system until it just stopped working right before Thanksgiving. The wonderful Bianca checked the schedule and was able to get Derrick, Logan, Mario, and Jason out to perform a full installation of a new system in a single day, the day before Thanksgiving for a very reasonable rate! Incredible service from the whole team with Derrick communicating often, asking questions, running things by us, and these heroes spent the day before the holiday getting us installed, improving our vents, creating two zones for maximum comfort, and completing without issues. The lesson I'm learning is wait until the dust settles before you write a review on anything. That being said my previous reviews are accurate of what was going on. Finally one of the head people I have a number for called me today and she took a look at it after I talked to her yesterday. This goes to show me that they need a little bit better communication within this company, especially when there's a problem. I know they have meetings on Monday but I don't think when some of the people have issues that they are actually going to the top people to discuss because she didn't know what was going on with my financing and looked into it herself. She gave me an explanation where the guy who had me sign up for the financing and work has done nothing but ignore me since he told me that it's my loan and I have to negotiate the details myself (!!!) when what I was promised supposedly does not exist. The answer I got today was that through the Home Depot promotions, they change the terms of their loan continually and even though I did it right away, Home Depot may have changed the terms as they have many times. Supposedly it was financed "with the best offer they had at that time".....Anyhow instead of two years no interest no payments I have five years no interest WITH payments and because of what was happening I paid almost half of it off already anyway. So no matter what I do I have to pay that base payment and it will be paid off in less than three years with no interest. That being said I should not have been offered anything that did not exist, it should've been known and supposedly there's going to be a meeting around this Information. I was also told that there are more changes going on in California law that will result in different, perhaps not as great equipment that works with a different fuel system than is currently offered and it's going to go up approximately $10,000 over the next couple of months. I do know that I got really good equipment that should last me basically the rest of my life. It was nice to get some kind of explanation instead of being ignored- again they need to communicate better with each other when there's issues or problems instead of perhaps worrying about getting in trouble for something they said that didn't pan out? No I'm not happy about having to pay a little over $400 a month instead of zero but there's nothing I can do at this point. At least I know I was looked into personally and I don't know about the other people that the guy that signed me up said we're having problems also. I'm sure they've gotten loan shock like I have! That being said, watch everything that's done, get invoices, make sure the most experienced people look over the work of the least experienced so they don't have to come back like they have had to for me over something basic that should've been done correctly the first time. I guess there's good and bad with every company. At least I know/think I have really good equipment! read more

I want to start by saying the installation crew, Justin Jordan and Sean Heemwad, we're excellent. They were professional, hardworking, and clearly skilled at what they do. They were respectful of my space, answered my questions honestly,and worked long days to het the job done despite challenges that were not of their making. Unfortunately, the overall management of tje project was a different story. I was originally quoted a two day installation which ultimately turned into 5 days over 3 weeks. The delays seemed to stem from a lack of understanding the scope of the job and insufficient planning before the job began. Communication was another major issue. There was little to no proactive outreach from the company about delays or changes to the schedule. I only received updates when I called myself, which was frustrating and unnecessary for a job this size. In short, the crew on the ground deserve praise for their effort and professionalism, but the management side needs serious improvement in planning, coordination, and communication. read more

I have an old home and my bedroom is in the attic space. On a hot day it can be miserable. Same Day came out to install additional ductwork and a return in my bedroom. Technicians Gus and Berto were courteous and friendly.They removed boxes and boxes from my attic crawl space and replaced them all neatly when they completed the job. Thankfully, Same Day comes to the rescue and sends someone out that day (it's in the name after all). our technician Arlo came early and was of incredible help. Thank you Jason, Ryan, Sean, and Mikey! This team replaced our potentially dangerous old heater (cracked heat exchanger) and our aged AC system with a neat efficient heat pump system. These guys exemplify the best of Same Day HVAC. Their customer support is solid, with no step was done without us being clear about why and what of the work being done. Ryan came out to inspect our old AC and heating system. When he found the cracks in the heat exchanger, he showed them to my wife and explained the critical nature of the crack, leaking Carbon Monoxide into our home. Ryan came out to double check the issue and to explain the options we had to solve the issue. Once we made our choice, three days later (it was a weekend), the Sean and Mikey team showed up. Professional, courteous, patient, they said it would take two days. The first day they worked to demo the old system and start the installation. Of course no project goes perfectly. On the second day they worked from 8:30 AM to 8 PM to keep their estimated time. Their work is better than just fit for use. The ducts are sealed not with just tape by also with paint on sealant, wiring is neat, the plumbing is flawless, the system is insulated, and they even trimmed the rough edges of the platform in aluminum. Every step showed attention to detail and going beyond "good enough". Mikey showed us how to use the system, what the factory defaults were and how to modify them. The quality is evident, the schedule was amazing, and the price was good. We could not have hoped for a better outcome. We passed all the subsequent inspections without any issues. read more

I was in the market for new duct work and reached out to Same Day on a Sunday, at 8am they reached out to me and scheduled an appointment for Monday. Ryan stopped by and evaluated our situation. He gave us 4 quotes for 4 different setups and his recommendations were great. This was a true consultation, not a high pressure sales technique. After reviewing the options, and a bit of research, we went with the heat pump and new duct work. The project was going to take two days, and they started that Thursday and were done by Friday. Dillion was here both days, he was great at communicating the project with us and answered all questions. Mikey did a great job with the electrial and Mynos setup everything in just the right spots. We had made an appointment for an estimate to have our pipes replaced. We received a text to confirm the appointment. I also received a text the day before asking for confirmation. This is for a weekend home and we had to drive 2 hours to make the window of 12-2. At 2:00 when no one showed up, we called and we were told that there was an emergency and they could not make the appointment and wanted to know if we wanted to reschedule the next day. I got great service from Same Day Heating and Plumbing. Jacqueline came to my house to service an older furnace in my home. When she got there, she realized that it wasn't starting up because it needed a new ignitor. She also noticed a lot of safety issues and educated me on how my furnace works and what we could do to get it up and running. In the end, I realized that there were some serious safety hazards that couldn't be remedied with a quick fix and asked about replacement. She was able to get her colleague Bianca to come that same day to take a look and give me an estimate. I have owned this home for 3 years and dealt with MANY servicepeople for the two furnaces in my home, but I NEVER had a female service person. Both were incredibly professional and knowledgeable. They were both patient with me as I tried to wrap my head around the technical details and the reality of having to shell out thousands of dollars unexpectedly. I got great service that day and even signed up for their club membership for regular maintenance and discount on repairs based on the great service that I received. Being a mathematician, I immediately recognized the value of joining their club membership for maintenance alone, but especially now that I need a new furnace ($$$). They need to get these two words straight because many companies will take a look at your existing systems to see if you need a new one.
