I have Celiac disease and I can't eat gluten. Mikey's used to be one of the only places in downtown cincy that I could eat at later at night. They had a personal sized gluten free pizza for about $12 or $14. They took the gf pizza off the menu recently and then brought it back, but only as a "large". After tax and tip I spent $37. The pizza is okay as far a gf pizza goes. This new pricing is way too high for such a small pizza. This is a large box but almost the same size pizza as I used to pay $12-14 for. :( read more

Great decor, took eight teenagers for pizza, but was kicked out because it's 21 and up after 9:30pm...but the two hours we had the teen girls enjoyed! We had a long wait for pizza but the cook was honest about the wait...which I appreciated. I had a frozen strawberry blueberry frozen drink with vodka which was good...I would of got an extra shot of Vodka but again..I brought my daughter and her friends so I was careful. LATE NIGHT SLICE FOREVER. I'm thankful to Cheezus that my favorite Columbus cult pizza place has made its way to my favorite hometown. Even better is its close proximity to Rhinegeist, AND Oddfellows next door. I actually don't know how it gets better than craft beer and drunk pizza. Get the Cheezus crust, or the Baby Cheezus, with the Unicorn Sauce (RIP Slut Sauce). If you're feeling adventurous, get the Spicy Ass Pepperoni (it's pretty dang spicy, but that may encourage you to drink more water in your drunken state). The pizza slices are enormous, and anyone who complains otherwise is getting greedy with their Midwest portion size expectations. I can only imagine that the service is not worth of five stars... What a cool place! I stopped by to grab a slice of pizza and some cheese garlic sticks. The pizza slices are huge and thin, and the garlic sticks are fluffy and good. The venue has a huge outdoor eating area while being connected to another restaurant on the other side of the building that has a more cocktail vibe. I had been waiting for Mikey's Late Night Slice to come to Cincinnati after hearing about it from many friends in Columbus. Finally! It opened right down the street from Rhinegeist Brewery in a space it shares with Oddfellows bar. A group of friends and I went to try it out and it did not disappoint! We got a half & half pizza: Plain-Ass Pepperoni and Spicy-Ass Pepperoni, that comes with banana peppers. It was delicious. They also do pizza by the slice if that's more your thing. Definitely a great addition to the OTR scene north of Liberty St. Highly recommend adding it to your itinerary if you're planning to grab some drinks at Rhinegeist or are in the Findlay Market area. read more

Pizza will always be a great choice for food and Mikey's was right on par. The place is really cool with eclectic decor, neons lights, fun signs and an open back patio (that seems dog friendly-I saw a treat container and water bowl). It's also conveniently located next to rhinegist, perfect for a late night bite. We came here on a whim one evening, ordered a slice at the counter and were served within minutes. I loved the ability to pump out dipping sauces at the silverware and drink station (garlic, ranch and unicorn-think buffalo sauce like). Pizzas were warm and definitely hit the spot. It can get a bit pricey, depending on how many slices you get (or get a whole pizza for $25), I only needed one. There is a bar on the other side of the establishment and I will be checking that out next time I stop in. read more

Man...mixed feelings. On one hand, I'm glad to see solid pizza by the slice north of Liberty. The pizza is great (as good as Goodfellas if not better, imo), and the interior decoration is super trippy and worth a visit alone. The bathroom "plaza" is pretty cool, though the extreme gendering makes my obnoxious gender-neutral-oriented Californian soul uncomfortable (see pictured). On the other hand, service seriously leaves something to be desired, which is particularly concerning since we were here early on a weekday. I really can't imagine how they'll handle a weekend evening up there; hopefully they are still working out kinks or something. It took us about 20 minutes to get pizza, and then the salad (nothing fancy; lettuce + pizza toppings in a takeout container) took another 15 minutes to come out. Out of cookies. The bar was totally swamped and the bartenders were taking their sweeeeet time, not paying a lot of attention to people waiting. Instead, we gave up and popped over to the adjacent bar (Oddfellows), which was AWESOME (review forthcoming...). Until there isn't a line for pizza nearly out the door, I'll pass on the pizza line and take a curated cocktail. read more

Picked up a slice of spicy pepperoni as part of a Yelp event. Overall, a great by-the-slice option and a welcome addition to the Cincinnati pizza scene. The crust was soft and chewy in a good way. My personal preference is a slightly more well-done crust so next time I would probably ask for it to spend a little more time in the oven. But that isn't something I would hold against them as it's a personal preference. Flavor and texture of the crust were great. Toppings were tasty and well-distributed so that each bite had a little bit of everything. Good flavor and combination. Looking forward to trying some other topping combos. Nothing stood out about the sauce but it contributed effectively to the overall taste of the pizza. Next time I will make a point to try and taste the sauce to see how it stands on its own. Although I received the slice for free in this case, the size of the piece for the price offers great value. Didn't stay to eat the slice at the restaurant but the décor was funky and cool and it seemed very clean. Overall, very good and glad to have a by-the-slice option in the area. read more

I work right down the block and ordered some pizza for my coworkers and I. For the pizza itself, it was BOMB. Heavy on seasoning and New York style which is right up my alley. The flavor was on point. Being Friday, I walked down early and got a beer during my wait. The service was great and it's a very OTR style atmosphere. The only downside was that I could tell they forgot to change the cleaning water to wipe down the place, which is a normal accident for a new facility and not a huge concern of mine. At least you know they're cleaning! I think this place is exactly what the area needs and it will probably be my new Friday lunch spot! read more

First impressions- it's AWESOME. GREAT design. It a big place. One side reminds me of FB's back in the day. The other side reminds me of well, sort of like a modern vintage dive. The middle is totally Miami. I never knew I could like a bathroom area so much! There's this whole Romeo and Juliet (Leonardo version) theme to some pieces of decor. Craft beer on tap- full bar. The back is outfitted with picnic benches. The best part is that they are open til 4 am on the weekends and 3 am on weeknights. What a cool place! We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon with our toddler. I'd love to come back one night to see what it's like here during prime time, I'm sure it's a lot of fun! The decor here is super unique and fun. The restaurant itself is a pretty good size, especially for the area, and even has a patio. You can get pizza by the slice or a whole pie. They also have cool appetizers and non pizza dishes. I was impressed that they even offer vegan options. I got a slice of the spicy ass pepperoni and it was perfect. My favorite part about Mikey's is the sauce station. They have garlic, ranch, unicorn, and hawt mess (my favorite). I absolutely love the pizza. It's always so good and the staff is always super friendly. I love the atmosphere especially since it's attached to the bar oddfellows! It's a super cool spot that you'll enjoy with your friends. Perfect place considering you can hang at the bar all night and before you go hone you grab a slice (or two) before you head out. I was honored to try this joint as part of a Yelp Elite event. Most of the place was closed off due to Covid, but the ambiance of the restaurant was really cool. It's got a welcoming, down home sort of vibe. I really wanted to try multiple slices and ultimately settled on mushroom and garlic. I heated up myself at home, and I was definitely impressed with the flavor. The crust was doughy and had good texture. Excellent garlic flavor. Visited on a Saturday around 6pm. Was not crowded, great time slot. It was a National Pizza Day, but they did not really make any special deals or a fuss about it. Occupying half of the Oddfellows, the interior is crazy in a good and somewhat religious way, Biblical references are a light motif. It's a walk up counter, no table service, but tables are there to enjoy the food. They have 6 types of pizza by the slice, each slice is warmed up to crisp perfection and served on paper plates. Great for a late night hunger. I tried the mushroom garlic and the cheese, it was good, on a very crispy thin bottom. The slices are big, but the dough is thin, so you can easily devour more than one! Good stuff :D I was personally fascinated by the huge mural of The Last Supper. You are eating under a watchful eye of Jesus! Something like that would be considered offensive in ultra Catholic Poland I come from, but I have to say I like a bit of controversy and the mural makes quite an impression :) On that note, I wish they were turning water into wine too!!!! read more

This pizza is good! There's always some kind of unique toppings, and the lineup of sauces for your breadstick, pizza, or whatever you want to dip is crazy! The ONLY reason Mikey's isn't getting one star from me is because the gentleman making pizzas realized how awful my experience was and tried to make it right by making a whole pizza for me. (I only ordered two slices.) My friends and I were looking for late night food. Options are severely limited downtown on a Wednesday. Even in my inebriated state, I somehow remembered that Mikey's is open until 3am everyday. We called a Lyft from the banks and headed up. The interior of this Mikey's is trendy and fun. Whoever was in charge of putting it all together did the most - in a good way. There are a lot of instagrammable signs and artwork, and plenty of seating should it be busy, or you know, if you end up waiting 45 minutes for pizza. My friends and I walked up and waited in line to order. There were only four slices of pizza in the display case, and the person taking my order stated in a very snarky tone that my mushroom & sausage slices would be a wait. Well, yes, I can very obviously see that. I'm willing to wait for hot pizza. I should have known from then it would be an ordeal to get my pizza. There was absolutely no communication between the the guy taking orders and the guy making pizza. A line started to form at the bar of people who were waiting on slices. The man making pizza was doing so at a leisure pace, and was making things that weren't even being ordered. About halfway through my wait time, I noted to the front employee I was waiting on a spicy & a mushroom. Before I could correct myself, I was met with a sharp "I KNOW." I mean you don't because that's not what I ordered, but it had been 30 minutes at this point and I just wanted something to eat. More pizzas were made and cut for slices, and many people were just taking what was up there. Pizzas that had not been ordered were sliced and put up for grabs, and I saw a few people take advantage of that and take slices they didn't order, but at this point they rightly deserved. It was strangely chaotic considering there weren't too many of us waiting. Again, had the two guys working spoke to each other (well actually had the know-it-all at the register answered the guy making pizzas), it would have gone much smoother. The guy who offered me a full pizza, and I'm assuming is the manager, looked up around the time I asked for the second time what's going on with my order, and realized there was a line of people waiting for pizzas he wasn't making. He started to seem just as annoyed as us about these pizzas that weren't being made. I'll give him credit for making a whole pizza just for me, but I assume it was because my displeasure for the whole experience was starting to be voiced loudly. He must've known at this point I was waiting 40+ minutes because he mentioned it was "complete bullshit" how long I'd been waiting. By the time I received my pizza, I grabbed some of their sauces to go and went into an Uber home. I wasn't hungry anymore. While I appreciated the gesture of receiving a pizza, I still can't get over how long I waited (or how tipsy Stephanie did not have a full on panic attack). In case you were wondering, my friends and I came into Mikey's at 2am on the dot. I know because I texted my friend that I went to the Mikey's in Columbus with to let him know we have one in Cincinnati now. My Uber came to pick me up at 2:49am. This is supposed to be a Sbarro style warm up your pizza, eat, and leave type of establishment. Hell, it says it right on the box! After my nightmarish experience, how was the pizza? If you remember my Mikey's Columbus review, you'll remember I wasn't the biggest fan. The pizza I took home with me didn't do much to change my mind. The crust is just as chewy and delicious as I remembered, and this mushroom pizza had more flavor than the last one I had. However, there's still no cheese present on the pizza, and the spicy side was supposed to come with a drizzle of Sriracha, but at this point I did not give a damn if it was there or not. The red pepper flakes were hastily thrown on so my mushroom slices had some as well. I'm fine with that because it's likely I would have put it on there anyway, but if you're not into spicy things that's a hell of a dealbreaker. Also, this pizza does not reheat well at all. The crust becomes hard and the toppings slide right off. The majority of the pizza is sitting in my fridge and I'm really hoping my dad will eat it because he's not a picky eater. If you have a late night craving, and it's not the weekend where you can choose between mainstays like Lucy Blue or Shanghai Mama's, you're better off eating that flavorless pack of ramen in the back of your pantry than visiting Mikey's. You can eat and be in bed in less time at home than waiting for food here. read more

Easily one of my top 3 favorite pizza places in Cincy! Literally perfect for a late night slice! They always offer a POW (Pizza of the Week), and if you've never heard of eating a hot dog wrapped in a slice of pizza, then you are seriously missing out. Apparently today is their official grand opening. I just happened in on dumb luck. Honestly, it's amazing how often I end up someplace and it is their opening day. (They've been softly open for a week). I usually only review locally owned businesses, but they are regional (based in Columbus). Upon walking in:turn right, pizza place, bar, funky decor, music videos; turn left, bar lounge; go straight, Bob Ross. Their pizza, NYC via Columbus style. Probably more NYC size than Goodfellas(which has HUGE slices), and I think their sizing is also better for it. The Hot Ass Pepperoni slice I had had the perfect amount of support/crispiness to support the toppings, and it was a really good slice(one handed was perfect). Also got a cheese piece. This crust was a little softer and flopped a little, but not a deal breaker at all. Full bar, probably 10 craft drafts, booths and high-tops on the pizza side. Outdoor seating also available. Their hours apparently go to (see someone else's review for specifics) late on weekdays and weekends. Their location, less than a block north of Rhinegeist will probably benefit them well. Not sure if you can still bring food into Rhinegeist with their Sartre Food Tube now, but if so, this will benefit Mikey as well. read more
