Stopped i for breakfast for the first time. We sat ourselves at a table. The waitress brought water asked if we wanted coffee and we declined but we weren't asked if we wanted other items to drink. We had to get up and ask for the beverages we wanted. The server was an older lady and she was very short with us. She was not warm and inviting. We placed our order and waited for 5 minutes. She brought out our food and quickly tossed the food on the table, when we mentioned that a side of sausage was missing for our one son, she said he didn't order it! Um yes he did and she didn't apologize nor bring any out for him. The food was so so. My kids had chocolate chip pancakes and they said they were so so. My husband and I both had a shipwreck and they were ok. We both like our potatoes to not mash up, they should be crispy. Cheese on top was melted Kraft singles! I won't go back on count of the service. No one was warm or welcoming. There was a feeling like we were being a bother by just being there and we were not a high maintenance. I've been a server before and I know that in this industry you work for your tip, you should treat every customer like a food critic. I could teach the staff some customer service. read more

HORRIBLE. Let me preface this by saying that I am 6 month pregnant, so when I'm hungry I'm hungry. We got seated at a both for 2 immediately. We received our drinks and placed our food order. Our food order was hash browns, one pancake and an omelet. An hour went by, we weren't checked on ONCE, we watched people who arrived after us eat and leave. The place is tiny and our waitress had walked past us many, many times without acknowledging us at all. After more than an hour I finally went up to the counter to say that we were still waiting. No one said a word to me, but they did start scrambling around. My boyfriend threw a dollar on the table and when we started to leave our waitress wouldn't even look at us, say sorry, etc. I don't know if our ticket was lost or what, but at least try to make it right and APOLOGIZE for your f up. Nothing fancy here, just good old fashioned American cafe/diner food in a classic small corner mom n pop package. fluorescent lights and small tables along with a four seat bar with an older crowd for breakfast is what you can expect here. The food is standard diner flat-top fare served pretty fast by servers who've seen it all. only had breakfast here but i assume lunch service is about the same. I finished with a customer early and thought after reading the reviews last night that I would try this place out. I had a Western omelette and some coffee so not a lot to write about. Great veggie omelet and yummy cinnamon French toast, all of which my husband and I shared. Even tho it was packed on a Sunday morning, we found a table immediately and were served in a timely manner by an efficient, friendly waitress, the sister of the owner-cook. Awesome breakfast!!! Try the granberry pancake it is delicious (granola, blueberries, cinnamon). The lumberjack breakfast is huge and delicious. I thoughly enjoyed the home made corned beef and hash. The pumpernickel toast went perfect with it. My daughter loved the cinnamon French toast. Family run restaurant, that is clean and friendly. We will definitely be back. read more

Mikhael's is the definition of a mom and pop diner to me, and has been my go to breakfast place for years. They serve great basic breakfast staples quickly and at a very reasonable cost. They recently (within the last few years) remodeled and added a touch of non-traditional items to the menu, which each one I've sampled has been great, from my personal favorite the 'Stacker' breakfast (biscuits, eggs, american fries, sausage all smothered with gravy) to the gyro omelette. The portions are huge for the cost and you won't leave hungry or wanting for conversation, as the family that runs the place (father and son on the grill, mother coming around checking on tables and refilling coffee) will make you feel at home. Cannot recommend this place enough for a great quality and quick breakfast or lunch. read more

Four of us had breakfast here after going to the St Ludmila's Fall Bazaar and getting their amazing kolaches. Not only is their food delicious and reasonably priced, but the family who owns this establishment make you feel at home right away and have a wonderful sense of humor. Food is very home like, I like that. However if the wait staff is having a bad day, you will know it. Not only will they talk about it behind the counter, it will show when they bring your food or take your order. This is a little gem. Went there last weekend with a friend. Endless cup of coffee. Friendly service. Didn't have to wait long for food. It is a small place with outdated decode, but clean and welcoming. Bacon was great, along with the french toast. The greek omelet was tasty and the hash browns were perfect.
