You already know...it's Miki's! The nostalgia this place is amazing! This is my high school years and a ton of late night hang outs! If you haven't been, don't let me gas it up. But if you grew up eating here. This is the spot! The roast pork is always tender! The go to meatballs are always fantastic! Almost everything in the menu is good! The corned beef sandwich is delicious! And you can't go wrong with a pbj! Don't overlook this place!

Teri Meatball and shoyu chicken

Man, I still remember coming here in college for a late night meal and coming back after so many years was nostalgic and so familiar. I ordered the Teri meatballs and shoyu chicken. Auntie in the front was so kind and friendly and the servings were just as I remembered, decent. There was a little wait for our food but it was understandable as this is a very busy eatery. Of course parking is a little tricky as it can get a little busy but nonetheless, still worth it!

I've been a frequent customer since I was in middle school & never had any issues! I'm normally eating at home in dim lighting (since it's night time), but I happened to bring my leftovers to work - where's there's fluorescent lighting, as well as sunlight. If I had demolished my food last night, I wouldn't have seen the thin strip of tinfoil sitting on my fork. I'm certain it's because the pasteles are wrapped in foil; but just grateful I didn't swallow it! Other than that, the food is ALWAYS on point. I would just suggest checking thoroughly when ordering pasteles.

Let me start by saying.......my old school favorite hole in the wall spot. If you want homey food with tons of sauce and gravy, you'll be in heaven. If you are looking for fine dining, pretty Yelp post type dishes, this ain't your place., haha. My favorite.......the oh so cheap, simple, and delicious meat balls. Soft, mealy, sweet goodness haha. Mr hey also make a good adobo (reddish sauce style), shoyu chicken, pastele stew......hmmmmm actually never ordered something. I didn't like. They are open only later in evenings and not in the day so plan accordingly......they aim for that party people with an appetite haha. I'll always come back when I am hungry and it's late haha.

My mini beef stew. $7.50.

This time around I had the S&S ribs combo with the beef stew and the stew was great the ribs had a lot of bones and little meat. I also found the ribs salty. Almost inedible. I was hungry so I ate it. Just hd to double up on the BP meds! Awwwrite!!!

Came back again when I had a late night craving. I love their roast pork - it's so tender and juicy. I love the amount of gravy they give as well. Definitely worth it for the price. The lady in the front is super friendly as always. Will be back when the late night cravings hit and nothing else is open but fast-food!

A stop I usually go to if I have a late night craving while going out late at night. This place is literally a while in the wall. Hidden from many tourists, this is a local spot to get some good lunch plates. I usually order a mini meatball or mini lau lau. Their mini size is pretty hefty! I used to come here years back with my carclub crew so it brought back lots of memories. People that come here are mostly late night workers or random local people. I've heard instances people get mobbed here to come here being aware of your surroundings.

ONE OF THE LATE NIGHT MUNCHIES YOU CAN GET IN AIEA! There's plenty of street parking and the price is very affordable. Not your typical fine and dine, but more casual and on-the-go kine grindz! You get the option of having one: -Mix plate $14.75 -Regular plate $13.75 - Mini Plate $10.50 It looks like they have rotating menus so they will always have different things on the menu! We got their teriyaki meatballs and spicy pastele stew and it was pretty good to satisfy the angry tummies that want food

Mix plate - Pork Adobo and Teri Meatball

Idk if I just got the wrong things, but I was a little disappointed after eating here. It's convenient for late night and my food came out quick and hot. I got the mixed plate for $15 so I could try a few things and got pork adobo and teriyaki meatballs with Mac salad. Everything was pretty salty and bland in my opinion. Mac salad just tasted like straight mayonnaise. The meatballs were something you get frozen from the grocery store. The adobo was tough and oily. This is a locally loved establishment and I can understand why due to the convenience and options available, but for the price and quality I think I'd just go to the grocery store hot food section.

Simple ono menu, about 10 minute wait for the food if you catch them on the busy hours. There were about 5 folks in front in line. Must get their pickled onion. Enjoyed it very much so, heads up that it is a tiny bit spicy. Happy with my choice of plate. Shoyu chicken while my fiancee got a combo of meatballs and

It's been years since I've been here.. This place used to be my friends and I favorite local spot in the wee late night hours after partying and I remember their food was always satisfyingly good to sober you up and it's still good as I remember! Last night my hubby and I returned and ordered their meatballs & Laulau mix plate with meat loaf. So ono! Everything was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed it all. So much flavors.. and the rice with Mac salad, blend it together..Omg, kanacks attacks! Lol. Can't wait for the next trip back to try other things on their menu. Service was friendly and polite. The Filipino lady at the window reminds me of my aunty. So nostalgic this place. I'm glad they are still open and made it through Covid times.

Mix plate: Kalua pork cabbage, Pork laulau, mac salad, 2 scoop rice. Mix plate: Pork laulau, Teri meatballs, 2 scoop rice.

After years of passing by this sketchy place at night, I finally got the courage to go and ask my friends to try this place out since covid hours with a lot of restaurants close around 9pm. *Store hours* As of 2022, they're now open from 8pm-3am! Me and my friends got here around 8pm and there was no line but later on it surprisingly got very busy around 11pm? *Environment/Parking* You can park in front of the establishment, on the side, in front of the next door barber shop, or neighborhood street parking. So far they only have one table and 4 chairs available so if you're planning on dining there, its first come first serve. Or just do what I do, grab your plate and eat on top or inside of your car and talk story with friends. The street is actually pretty well lit so you dont have to worry about eating in the dark. The Filipino aunties are so sweet, it feels like Im at home visiting family so its very comforting to hear them talk to me. They take cash or credit cards too! *Order* I ordered the mix plate (choose 2 meat options includes one mac salad, 2 scoop rice) I choose the teri balls and pork laulau with all rice, includes utensils and one pack of shoyu, and I ordered one can juice of guava. The teri balls were pretty decent since everyone on here on yelp was raving about it and the pork laulau has satisfied my laulau cravings, I wish they had a side of poi so I can dip it in. Miki's is a perfect place to eat for your late night meal for your Hawaiian/Filipino food needs! Most def will be back again!!

I got mine with white rice, lomi salmon, pipikaula and haupia. The Kakaako location gives purple sweet potato instead of pipikaula. I like this place so much more. I'd rather have the pipikaula instead of the sweet potato any day. The pipikaula is juicy, tender and moist. It's so good. I also like the squid luau from Highway Inn, because it's on the sweeter side. Their buttermilk pancakes with haupia sauce and mac nuts $17.99 are excellent as well. The service was good. My wife and I invited a friend and his wife to dinner. My friend ordered the chicken katsu and kalbi mixed plate. When the food came out, it looked great, but after taking his first bite, he realized the chicken was still raw in the center. We immediately let our server know. Instead of taking the entire plate back, she brought over a small plate and asked him to move just the chicken katsu onto it. A few minutes later, another server returned with what looked like the exact same pieces of chicken (we knew it was the same because of the shape of the pieces). Rather than making a fresh order, they had simply dropped the chicken back into the fryer and served it again. That was really disappointing and honestly concerning. Once the raw chicken had been sitting on the plate, it had already come into contact with the rice and the kalbi. Refrying the chicken doesn't address the risk that the rest of the meal may have been contaminated. At that point, the entire plate should have been replaced. What made the experience even more disappointing was that there wasn't much of an apology or offer to comp the plate. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how those mistakes are handled that leaves a lasting impression. We weren't looking for anything free; we just expected the situation to be handled with a little more care and concern for food safety. Unfortunately, after three visits with each one being more disappointing than the last, I don't think we'll be coming back.

The Pearl City location has tons of Musubi, poke, and snack options available for you to eat. But let's be real, most of us would love to just pick up some poke bowls and head straight to the beach right? The service was friendly and helpful and they even have signage that helps show you how to navigate your poke and rice options. The poke cuts were smaller than what I was used to but didn't detract from the flavor, in fact, it probably make the flavor better in that it helped with the mixing and you got a more balanced bite. I'm usually not an ocean salad kind of person either but they've changed my mind with their great flavors, don't be afraid to try that either. With all that deliciousness acquired, don't forget to find a great canned juice of your choosing to wash it all down. While the price isn't the cheapest poke that you can buy, it was definitely delicious and made with care that I truly appreciated and served out of a shop that makes you feel nostalgia. As for the food, the calamari breading along with the salmon on the salad were both too salty for my liking. The calamari had big pieces to chew through and I was sad to see that the sauce for this dish was the same as the dressing for the salad (ginger sesame dressing).
